Do you know what is so sad? Do you know what it is like to be alone? Do you know what it is like to see hundard, thousands of people infront of you, but not one truely seeing you? Do you know what it is like, to never know who is truely hearing and understanding you? Do you know how much it must hurt to know you may never find a life partner? Do you know how much it must hurt to see people throw themselves at you, but do not truely want you? Do you know how lonely it must be to never knowing who is truely a friend and not a fan?
I think every famouse person understands this better then anyone. I hate to think of Gackt like this, but I believe he feels this kind of pain. Despite all the fame, all the fans yelling they love him. I believe he is truely lonely. There is apart of his heart that no fan can reach because its a place he protected with his life. He does not want to be hurt and I do not blame him. It hurts me to think that he can be so lonely, and it hurts even more, that there is nothing I can do. There is nothing anyone can do, unless he commits the ultimate scarifce......letting someone in.

Being in the music business it is hard to do that sometimes. It seems that everyone is after something different, be it your money, your fame, whatever. Finding someone who isn't is rare; they may say that they are only after friendship but underneath it all they are after the things you can offer, not you yourself.
I could go on about this for days.

Ok, this is my experience with the whole deal.
I don't remember much of when my dad was in his band (A Family Affair) but some of the stories he has told me are insane. There were the good times, of course, but there were equal bad times as well. Most of the time the members appeared fine at a glance, but most of them had drug problems or drinking problems behind it all. They were depressed, yet I never understood why until I started running with a lot of bands here in SoFl.
My first boyfriend (who I still love deeply even though we haven't been together for years) was in a pretty cool band here. We started dating before the band really got into full swing, so I got to catch the before and after effects. It seemed that after the band got even a touch of local fame a lot of people didn't want to befriend them to enjoy their company, it was more of a fact that their 'status' in life would improve being seen with the band members. It was almost sickening that they just wanted to make themselves look better.
It's like they don't care about the person behind the music, they just care about the music or the look.
I know there will be a lot of arguement on this, but it's the truth most of the time. It's quite sad.

I agree. I don't know how many of my friend went to concert, and some of them got backstage passes, and they were all over them. I've seen pictures and video and it is disgusting, some of the this they did, or said. Its embrassing just how shallow some people can be, more so when they were my own friends. I felt ashamed that they could be that way.
what is Sofl?

SoFl is South Florida. I'm just too lazy to write it out, haha!
It is crazy the extent some people will go to for an artist or musician.
Is it that hard to realize that they are people just like we are, they just have jobs that most people would kill to have.

South Florida....hahahahaha I live in central florida.....that is too ironic.
I think some people, do have a problem with coming to terms that these people ae normal humans with feelings and not some Jrock (or what ever genra) gods. Its as if they can not get out of their fanasty and into reality.

Another Floridian! Whoo!
It must be hard, seeing these perfect people they build these fantasies of perfection even though the person is far from perfect. I'm sure if they did get to see the intimate details of their life that are reserved for only those closest to them then the whole illusion would be shattered and the 'god' would no longer be deemed worthy of such worship.

Its a sad fact but true. I also hate of american artist, try to be perfect all the time because if they do something 'wrong' they are thrown into the dirt, even if it was something stupid that had it been someone unfamouse, it would have been no big deal. I do like that about japanese artist, Gackt mainly, i have watched so many videos, that are so funny, but i think if it had been an american artist, someone would have said something negitive, then able maybe someone has said something negetive already about Gackt, who knows. But the whole yaoi thing, it an american did it, they would be ruined but a japanese does it and its fine. I mean, most girls think it just play, fantasy and fun but what if they idol truly is gay, how would that affect them? Who they be trashed by the media and fans? So many private details of their lifes must be hidden because of their fame, its sick that they can't truely be themselves.

It's really the price you have to pay when you are in an industry when image is everything. It can make or break your career. The public suddenly doesn't like what you are doing it throws a wrench in things. And of course the public is the biggest thing that can make or break you; they are the ones that purchase your albums, merchandise, buy tickets to see concerts. They are the artist's livelihood.

That is very true, and in some cases it is not fair because you can't always be yourself. That is what I believe makes the career so hard. Its one of the reason I dont want such a career, though my mother is trying to push me to become a singer, i am not sure i want that kind of fame.

My grandmother used to pressure me into possibly acting, but it's just not for me.
I wouldn't want to trade my privacy. Being a celebrity one can't go out without the world having their eyes on them 24/7.

exactly! I rather be on the sideline, i really loved the idea of being a director/producer, i loved making films, in my production class. I wouldnt mind manging a band either.
I would hate to have my life exposed, but they some people are willing to scarifice it for what they love. I love to sing but i am not sure i could do it.

It really must suck, when you think about it.
People say pop stars are so lucky, and in a way they are, but the price they pay is so high.

v_v ~ I always tell the people what you are saying about all the success but they are too blind to see it! Most fans think it must be great to be him but c'mon be honest... ;o; ... it must be hard and lonely to be a star!
