Inari stretched his legs, wished he could physically stretch them to make them longer so he was bigger. When was he going to grow bigger? He wanted to be bigger now! Sure, he was no longer a round fuzzy cub, but he still hadn't reached adolescence, though he felt like he would soon. Or at least hoped that he would soon.
Perhaps then when he grew, something great would happen to him.
Maybe he'd be strong enough to be a warrior.
He wondered where all of his friends were, his siblings, he sighed, he really couldn't keep track of them could he? It was quite depressing, Inari rather hated being alone. But being alone meant he could train, but being alone was depressing, so depressing. He perched himself upon a stone amongst the tall grass blades of the open Pridelands and peered around with his golden eyes.
When would something new happen?

Eusi slunk along in the grasses, keeping her dark body out of sight from others. It was rather hard, but she needed as much practice as she could get with hunting. And she'd spotted a big juvenile all by himself, much to her fortune and his misfortune. She smirked to herself, stalking along. Closer, closer... closer.
And then she was at the right spot! With out any shout to give away her position she suddenly lept at the orangey cub's back, springing for the pounce!

Inari flicked his tail, peered around. Where was something for him to pounce on? He felt awkward, like he was being watched. Peering around with golden eyes he couldn't see anything, was someone stalking him? He dismissed the thought, went back to looking for something to pounce on, until he was sure he heard something maybe.
Turning his head Inari saw a huge blackish thing pouncing towards him and his maw opened wide, ears falling back. WHAT IS IT? His mind was racing, was it going to eat him? No! He couldn't let something kill him and eat him and have his family be sad! He tried to move out of the way, but he doubted he could get away from it...it was fast.

She snarled mecingly until she felt both of their bodies thud to the ground, but her snarl cut off and her eyes went wide. Was the angle at which she hit him bad or something? She'd tumbled right off of his body and had ended up summersaulting about a body length away from him, landing on her back with an 'oof'.
Well, that wasn't a threatening tackle at all. She was a little dazed and still surprised she hadn't pinned him and in fact layed there staring at the sky, catching her breath.

Inari hit the ground, she did too, this was all too confusing. He growled inwardly, it was rude to growl at females after all. Then after she tumbled away he got to his paws and peered over at her, tilting his head, a serious look upon his maw, "What were you doing?! We both could've gotten hurt pretty bad!"
He stopped talking to catch his breath, this wasn't going well. He got stalked! Errr, "I'm Inari...who're you?" he said finally, perhaps he could figure out who this girl was.

Eusi got to her paws slowly, not looking over at the otehr as she shook away some of the dust and stretched out her paws. Her ears twitched as he spoke but didn't show any sign of responding until he said his name. Then she turned around slowly, looking at him skeptically. She'd just 'attacked' him and he was still giving out his name? God she hated the people around here! They were all so stupid! "If one of us had gotten hurt then that game would have been much more fun." A slow smile played across her face, a twisted smirk.
Inari. Sounded like a girls name, if you asked her! But no one had so she kept the thought quietly to herself. "I am known as Eusi'Dindi; strongest female of the pridelands!" All self proclaimed though, she'd never really tested her 'strength' in the lands with other females.

Inari frowned, this girl seemed to full of herself. He huffed and flicked his tail, she didn't look that strong to him, she was just bigger then he was, but she didn't seem extremely strong. His mom could take this girl on and win, he knew that for sure. Heck, his sister could take on this 'Eusi' and kick her butt.
"Eusi?" strange name, he didn't say that though.
"You might be a strong female, but when I get to your size, by then I'll be a warrior...." and he'd be stronger then her no doubt.

She rolled her eyes just slightly, shaking her head. "When you're my size I will probably be bigger still!" She wasn't weak, she didn't joke around like this. Well, perhaps she would never be stronger than the average male her own age, but that didn't matter to her. "A warrior eh... and do tell, who is the pridelands at war with? You need a battle before you can be a warrior." She stuck her tounge out at him.

Inari glared at her. How dare she act this way towards him! Pfft, perhaps he should go and get Mrost and have him teach this girl a lesson. "For your information I'm in training to become a warrior, by someone who is way stronger then you." Yes, Mrost, Mrost could kick anyone's but Inari was sure. "I bet I'll be stronger then you in no time..." he flicked his tail with annoyance...girls, what was with them?!

She just snorted and started to slink away. "Using others to fight your battles is weak, boy." She sneared out in her snottiest voice. Boys like him made her sick...
She rolled her eyes and disappeared into the distance.

Before Inari could say anything back to the dark pelted female she was already walking off and being consumed by shadows, stupid girl, he'd get stronger, and be stronger then her one day, yes, then she would see. He'd go find her someday, and show her how much stronger and faster he would become.
