Cream colored toes seemed to uncurl as the adolescant female stretched from her long nap. She sat up from the rock she'd been curled up on and stretched even more, looking sleepily about. After a minute her senses came back to her and she shook her head a little, fully awake. She hopped from the rock and slowly moved through the tall grass, her sides prickling with each blade and her mind gently pushing the sense of tickling through her. She hissed ever so slightly, eyes moving around. She didn't want the grass to be tickling her right now, she didn't like laughing. She just needed to find some place with shorter grass..
Her dark brown tail lashed back and forth as her annoyance grew, though from what she knew not. Her crimson eyes narrowed and she sighed softly, eyes moving toward the watering hole ner by. Ah! Good, she'd forgotten she'd passed it by before her nap. Now she could get a nice drink, and the grass would get shorter. It already was getting shorter!

Though, there was already another form at the watering hole, though she seemed less then likely to hog the drinking spot. It was big enough for many lions to take a drink, as long as they didn't mind who would crouch next to them to refresh their tongues.
The black female's head slowly rose when she heard the sounds of another nearing the pool, the grasses giving off a cool, whisp sound as they were bothered. Her brown eyes weren't the most welcoming sight, as the lioness never quite trusted who she came across, nor was good at talking with others. But her white companion had made her promise to be good, and thus she would be.
Until something got out of hand. Then she would do as she pleased.
The lioness offered the visitor a nod before dipping her head back down to finish her drink, hoping that the other would not start talking to her.

Eusi rose a brow and snorted, not returning the nod, before she slipped a bit to the side to lean down and cool her own throat. Her manners implied she thought something amusing, or perhaps that this other lioness wasn't worth her time. Her ears slowly folded back, her tail flicking to the side.
Her eyes flicked toward the other and she watched from the corner of her vesion, pausing a moment in her drinking. Her eyes moved along the black fur to the only different spot she saw; the white hind paw. She shook her head slowly and moved her gaze back to her reflection.
She didn't know many dark pridelanders. Actually, she probably could only name her family members as the pridelanders she did know. "From here?" She said slowly, almost disappointed the words had popped from her mouth. Perhaps she could annoy the other so that she would leave.
Then she would have the watering hole to herself! Wouldn't that be nice?

Ruffian noticed that the other didn't extend her own paw in a greeting. Well well. Hopefully it was just a misunderstanding, though Ruffian was agitated already. Her tail swished behind her, the only outward sign that could be interppreted as irritation.
She raised her head again, bits of water dripping from her chin as she glanced back up. Not very polite words, either. She mentally sighed, hoping that she could keep herself in good terms, if only for Daemon. But, why was she doing so much for him? She let the thought scatter from her mind, to be played with like a toy later.
"Recently, yes. Just joined." The lioness eyes the other warily, wondering just what point she was trying to make. Ruff knew she could live here, but that didn't mean that everyone would, or could, agree. Besides, it seemed like there were many members, and perhaps not enough resources for all to live in excess. "You, if I may ask?"

Her tail flicked and slowly she backed away from the water, sitting down carefully. "Mmm." She said, glancing around the watering hole. "All my life.." She said, voice dull because she did not find the pridelands particularly exciting. Why would anyone want to join them at this female's age? Probably something cliche, like love and all that. That was why her father had joined these lands. She was pretty sure he was not on good terms with the rest of his family, too. Maybe she could go stir up trouble... she'd never been the the Kusini'Mwezi lands.
"And where are you originally from then?"

Ruffian had a weird feeling about this female. She liked that she was quick and to the point, but it also got on Ruffian's nerves a bit. Well, it was certainly obvious that the Pridelands weren't all full of little sweet cubs and infatuated adults. This lioness was example enough, though she wasn't fully aware of this lioness' full personality.
"The Mistweavers." She didn't want to elaborate on her life, as it wasn't something she wanted to remember. Her eyes squinted to a glare at the water, trying hard to not remember the blasted Firekin. Not that she knew much of what ever went on, but she remembered the emotions. And they were not comforting.

She nodded slowly, though in all honesty she had no clue about the mistweavers or where they were. Not a hint of a clue, even. "Mmm." And then she found she really wasn't all that interested in why this other lioness had joined these lands, Eusi realized that it didn't really matter.
"My name is Eusi." With that she was stretching her paws, looking as if she was ready to leave. "I hope you enjoy the boring life." She snorted.

Ruffian's ears flattened against her skull, none-too-thrilled that this lioness just decided that her life would be boring. "I would much rather have a boring life then relive what was my childhood." She hissed lightly, showing her displeasure, though she slowly let herself calm down a tad. She must not know much, and thus just assume that everyone lived like her. Fat chance.

She blinked and her gaze became stoney. "I know nothing of your childhood so how do you think it is fair to use that as a point of arguing? And there you go. I said I'd hope that you'd enjoy this type of life, boring and lazy. And you prefer it, so don't get your tail in a knot." She hissed, rolling her eyes. Eusi was a bit hard headed at times, it seemed.
She began to move through the grass, though slowly in case the other still wanted to argue. Eusi loved arguing.

Ruffian couldn't let her go, not like that. Not when the brat thought that she was better then her. THe fur on the back of her neck raised very slightly, her tone very harsh, but was civil enough to keep a growl out of it. Growling constantly was something only males would do, she had a bit more pride then to use that.
"Well, you certainly say that to me, but aren't you the one that's overreacting?" She flicked her tail behind her, presumibly acting bored. She examined her paw before giving it a slow lick, the water making herself feel like she needed a bath. But she wouldn't dare do that while around someone who made her a bit...antsy.

She snorted and rolled her eyes, her fur slightly prickling and her ears lying flat. She ignored the other female's words because they were true, she was over reacting. Well, fine. But she was still better, she thought so anyways.
