omg! ppl, Naruto beat kakuzu and shika beat hidan.... what's next? sasuke beats itachi? are we about to loose every akatsuki member we love and adore!?!?! sniff..... is it good or bad for you guys??? crying

It's true xD; So much as we love them, and no matter how amazingly sexy they are... they're not going to live forever ^^;; In fact... it looks like Kishimoto is already enjoying knocking them off the show/manga anyways mad Poor boys.

Kishimoto is going the same way as JK Rowling - just thought I'd point that out. Kakashi will die soon. Oh I highly doubt that. And I think the series will end on an open note for more, with at least Orochimaru surviving. If it -does- end...

Just because you get attached to them doesn't mean that Kishimoto is going to keep them alive, just for you. ^^; Sorry, I'm still just... I don't know what to say. It still kinda shocks me that people are surprised by their deaths. I know it sucks to have characters you like die, but... really, this is a surprise?

Just because you get attached to them doesn't mean that Kishimoto is going to keep them alive, just for you. ^^; Sorry, I'm still just... I don't know what to say. Agreed ^^; The bad guys almost always die, guys. And it probably won't be just the Akatsuki, but probably ( crying ) Orochimaru as well. No matter how cool the character, or how attached we get to them... ^^; They'll die because they have to. It's a shonen manga, remember. Just... even if the 'bad guy' shows some kind of reformity... Remember Haku and Zabuza? Like... even after that, the bad guys have to die, and they didn't do anything nearly so bad as what the Akatsuki do ^^; Kishimoto =/= J.K. Rowling xD; He has a definite plan, I'm sure, and people don't disappear into plot holes xD; (Don't get me wrong, I totally heart Harry Potter, but c'mon, people, it's the truth. And Sirius and Dumbledor weren't bad guys, the Akatsuki very, very much are surprised )

I hope that he does leave some 'main' villain alive. Like Orochimaru, Itachi, or Leader. Though I honestly don't think that Itachi will make it out alive, but I do hope that more things about him are explained before he dies. And I hope he shows some amount of humanity, as well. He left Sasuke alive for a reason, after all, and if that reason is to kill him, then he has to feel some sort of guilt deep down. I just kind of hope that Itachi's death is... interesting, not just your typical long-a** battle in which he is finally killed.

I don't think it's going to end soon. As for killing off villans rapidly, I don't think that's happening either. Kishimoto-san could have killed off Deidara if that was the case but being that he's alive, he's probably going to resurface in the series sometime in the future. Then there's still the unknown member to introduce. We still don't know very much about Itachi. We haven't seen Zetsu do anything much. We don't know if Tobi has any purpose besides comic relief, and I'm still not convinced that Hidan and Kakuzu are gone for good.
That, and there's still a ton we don't know about Naruto. And we don't know what the hell Asuma told Shikamaru before he died. So there's too many unknowns in the series still. I don't think Naruto is going to become hokage and everyone lives happily ever after, that wold be disappointing.
I wonder if the series is going to end Hamlet style with a bunch of people dying...at this point I'm done guessing. I'm just going to wait semi-patiently and find out what happens.

Hidan can't die, and we don't yet know if all of Kakuzu's hearts were destroyed. And with Akatsuki making their attempt to collect the rings, Konoha doesn't know about that. So their bodies could be found that way, too.
