Jecht sighed, he'd heard from someone, who'd heard from somebody, who was very vague, that Tidus came here. So...here he was. Man, this was gonna be awkward. He rubbed the back of his neck, moving closer to the water, then stepping in. Damn that was cold >.

The water wasn't so cold after your body began to shut down the nervous system, flirting with the edge of hypothermia. Some would say that Tidus was crazed, a fool for being in such cold water-- water which still held chunks of ice in it. Crazy? Maybe. Foolish? Probably.
Ever since he'd been young, water had been Tidus' playground-- with both the wonders of success and the pains of defeat etched into the inside of his skull. It was where he'd learned to live-- and where he'd hated to be at some points. It was in his blood though-- water, swimming... like father, like son.
No. Tidus surfaced at that unwelcome thought. He wasn't like his father. Well... all right, so maybe there were some similarities, but no more than--
...speak of the devil.
Resisting the urge to either swim fast and far away or shout obscenities or something else Tidus couldn't really fathom, the rat finally took a deep breath and swam back towards shore towards his father. The things that happened when you let your guard down! Geez.

Yeah, no kidding...Jecht sighed, crossing his arms and shifting his weight to one foot. He was actually quite suprised when Tidus didn't swim further away. The last time they had 'seen' eachother had been a little better than past interactions, but that didn't mean Tidus was glad to see him, and just because he swam towards him, didn't mean Jecht was going to get his hopes up.

Stopping where he could just touch the bottom comfortably, Tidus stared at his father for a long moment. So many things to ask, so many questions. Why do you enjoy ruining my life? Why are you an a**? Why are you alive?
Most importantly though, "What the hell are you doing here?"

Jecht sighed, shifting his weight to one foot. "I wanted to talk to you." God, Tidus sounded like him just now....jumping right to the rude question without even giving a rude greeting, "It's fairly important you know, even if you don't care."

"Important for us to talk?" Tidus scoffed, "I thought you were dead-- and I was okay with that. Now you're alive, here, and you want to talk? I'll pass." Tidus still carried a lot of anger towards his father-- and he felt he had the right to that anger! Okay, maybe not a right-- no, maybe a right. He didn't know, and he didn't care.
