I'm pinning this thread because the link here is something I'm always rummaging around for in an argument about the dangers of obesity.

Ugh. Figures.

I've never given much thought to what the "experts" say about obesity, but I knew it was a load of s**t. Well, maybe no entirely s**t (as I'm sure if you weight 3 majillion pounds and do nothing but sit and eat, that's bad), but still highly exaggerated and composed of many lies just so a handful of people can make lots of money. ******** reminds me of something I saw on TV a few months ago. I was visiting my mother, and watching the news of all things, when this debate came on about obesity. It was between "health experts" and this one BBW, who was a very active, healthy woman. The whole time the "experts" kept talking over her and ignoring everything she said, whilst preaching about how obesity is a disease and horrible beyond belief.
