uh...i thought that naruto, temrai, and Shino had made not Shikamaru cuz he lost to Temari, correct me if im wrong.

He did loose sbut he also made it to Chuunin because he never gets carried away he's smart and can think clearly in tough situations as well as he's also a stratagest ((i no i have bad spelling))

I think he becomes a chunin but there are others who became Chunin not only Shikamaru

Yeah, Shikamaru made it to chuunin. The others basically make it later.
