Amesi wiggled excitedly as she pounced through the slightly tall grasses of the Pridelands. Her father had kept her on a sort of house arrest (after she had collapsed randomly one day) but she had managed to sneak out this time around. It was good she had so many other siblings, otherwise it would have been impossible. And she had been even luckier, for her mother had been resting and her father had been the only one watching all six of the cubs.

Basking in her triumph, she paused for a moment to peer around her surroundings. She had traveled around a lot with her father, since he wanted her to get familiar with the landscape so that she would never be lost when he wasn't there to guide him. She didn't think she'd be able to get lost in such a beautiful place. Indeed, being lost was so nasty, so how could someone be nasty in such a wonderful place? It seemed impossible.

Flicking her tail as a light breeze passed over her fur, she noticed some birds flitting about in the air. It was a warm day, perfect for relaxing. But Amesi wanted to explore! Wiggling again, she took off after the birds. Though they took no notice of her, she played a game of invisible tag with them.

Once she was bored with that, however, she panted then looked around again. There was a watering hole nearby, and she decided to get a drink. Her father Ashki had taught her that if she ever felt tired, to drink some nice cold water. It helped, supposedly. She didn't see why, but she didn't argue with her father. And, she admitted silently, she did feel a bit refreshed after a nice drink.

Heading over towards the watering hole, she glanced down at her reflection--how pretty!--then lowered her head and took a long drink, lapping the water and letting it slide down her throat. Once her thirst was quenched, she sat herself down and looked around. Childishly, she wanted to giggle and chase butterflies. But there were none around. She frowned.

Maybe they were late to the watering hole..

Another day. Another adventure.

Compared to Tui and Ayato, Kewu'Chaka was the one who held the more rebellious and irrepressable desire to learn, explore, and test himself. The small creamy, yellow cub wanted to be strong; to have strength to defend his family, his brothers, Udha and Zira and become a lion whose name would be rememebered. For such a small cub, Kewu was ambitious and his views and faith wouldn't be compromised nor would he let them lose their value.

After he had managed to finish listening to his mothers' stories, the small male had managed to slip unnoticed within the tall grass of the Pridelands and slinked away, far away from where Tai or the other watchful eyes could manage to spot him.

It was a blessing and a curse to have a yellow pelt but- for these circumstances, having fur that almost blended perfectly with the dried, tall grasses that seemed to spread endlessly through the Pridelands in random patches seemed to play in his favor.

A grin was tucked away at the corner of his maw while his big, bright cerulean orbs darted every which way. He could feel his veins pulsing with adrenaline, coursing with the need for excitement and adventure! Flicking his tail anxiously behind him as his ears perked forward, Kewu swatted at the tall grass and growled softly.

"Why can't you get outta my way?"

As the grass bent and parted, the small cub seemed to intake a sharp breath as his eyes narrowed towards the watering hole and where another cub. He tilted his head to a slight angle, a perplexed yet intrigued expression crossing upon his maw as he reached up and parted the tall grasses with his paws. For there sat a girl- a girl with white fur and black markings. Looking down at his own fur, the small cub gave a widespread grin. He didn't have anything to fear and he liked his creamy, yellow fur too! It wasn't as bad as people made it seem and he wouldn't let that get him down either.

Padding from out of the grass, Kewu'Chaka approached from behind.

"Hey," he greeted, a warm yet tough sounding tone to his child voice, "what are you doing all the way out here?"

"Hum dee," the little girl said to herself. She had thought that sneaking away would have given her the extra push for her to really go out and have an adventure, yet she was stuck at a watering hole. She tilted her head, having confused herself with that. She had escaped to go out on some big expedition, yet all she was doing was sitting around near some watering, thinking about butterflies.

Rising to stand upon her black-tipped paws, she perked her round ears and looked around. Where could she go? The pride that her and her family resided in held such huge lands, she didn't know where to start!

Wiggling giddily, she turned about and was moving away from the watering hole when the voice of a stranger interrupted her mid-step. The sudden appearance of another didn't startle her in the least. In fact, she was delighted when she turned and saw another cub standing there.

"Hi!" she exclaimed, bounding forward with no sense of caution or shy feelings. To her, everyone was a friend until proven otherwise.

"I'm exploring!" she said, wiggling her bum slightly. "Or... well... I was just going to explore, but then you came along," she explained. It might have sounded like she was blaming him for interrupting her journey, but in fact she was doing quite the opposite. If anything, she was thinking that he could go along with her and give her some company while she explored. He did look strong and like he'd like to go on an adventure or two..

"Hey! You should explore with me!" she said excitedly, not even bothering to ask why he was out here all alone.

The ears of the creamy, yellow cub flicked back as such an energetic and lively personality wasn't the first thing he was expecting from the young cub before him. As his bright, cerulean orbs seemed to capture a mischievios gleam, Kewu'Chaka let the grin that was tucked away at the corner of his small maw widen.

"You're exploring too?" He exclaimed as well, his tail swaying with pure thrill behind him as he slinked his forepaws forwards. Kewu kneaded his paws as he couldn't contain his delight; it seemed pure luck or due in part to his own curiosity and excellent tactics of exploring that he had come across another cub who held the same love for running off and attempting to fufill their need for adventure and new experiences. The Pridelands seemed endless and Kewu'Chaka didn't want to lose and opportunity to further explore around his home. But having to wander by oneself could be such a drag sometimes.

Ayato and Tui seemed to stay close to mom as well as Udha and Zira. But Kewu's small, veins never ceased to vigorously flow with newfound adrenaline and the ever craving desire for strength. And even he couldn't let himself sit around and let his cravings wroth inside of him. He needed action!

Whe the young cub offerred him to come exploring with her, Kewu furiously nodded his head as he bounded upwards onto all paws. "Yeah! I'll come with you! It's so boring having to explore alone 'cause Tui and Ayato seem to do their own stuff," he explained slightly, his lips pursing while his small brows furrowed at the thought. He wished they would come with him more often, oh the adventures they could have! But he was the more rebellious of the three and, at times, he did stand out from them and not just because of his fur.

"I'm Kewu'Chaka," he spoke, bold and proud as he puffed up his chest. "Who are you?"

"Yeah!" the female piped up, bouncing around him excitedly. Finally! Someone else who liked to explore like she did! Her brother liked to go on adventures sometimes, but he still had his boundaries. Plus, there was for some reason worry in his eyes whenever she did something physical. So there were times when she felt better leaving him back in the safety of their den.

All of her other siblings didn't really seem to like exploring either, so that left her alone sometimes. Vinaya was too shy and unsure of everything, despite Amesi's reassurances. She didn't really talk to Hantu, nor with Kiasia either. And with Siri... she didn't understand her quite yet. But she loved her siblings, no matter what. She just wished they could be more adventurous.

"Tui and Ayato?" she questioned, tilting her head slightly. She didn't know many others in the Pridelands, aside from her family. But she was going to change that real soon. She was going to travel all around the Pridelands to meet everyone that she could. Perhaps she could even meet the king and queen! She felt excited for that, since she had heard that the queen was the one who had originally let her mother and father into the pride. This place had been a godsend for her parents, and she was eager to meet the one who had given them paradise. But that was later.

Giggling slightly as Kewu stuck out his chest, she wiggled her body then poked at his chest with a paw. "I'm Amesi!" she said proudly, although not arrogantly. "My daddy says it means flower or something.. does yours mean anything?" She didn't know how that was revelant to their exploring, but she was curious about it anyways. Meanings of names could sometimes be very interesting.

Finally! Another cub who had a good sense and need for adventure! This was just what Kewu had been needing and he'd have to make sure to try and run into the small female cub more often since there was no sense in leaving her out of an adventure too.

The creamy, yellow pelted cub nodded his head with a broad, wide grin. "Yeah, Tui and Ayato are my brothers. My mom tells alot of stories about the gods and different stuff but I don' know why they don't wanna come and find 'em with me." It puzzled him actually- sometimes it made him sad that they didn't hold the same craving and desire for adventure and mischief like he did but, still, he wouldn't force them if they didn't want to join him. Besides, he always liked being the one to return back home with all of his stories of his travels and encounters.

As Amesi poked at his chest, Kewu sputtered a short breath and gaped his maw open slightly. He chuckled as he pawed at her with a playful growl. "I like you're name," he smiled, tail flicking behind him with curiosity.

Kewu furrowed his brows, thinking as Tai had told him before. "My mom says it means "blazing light from the sun above" or somethin' like that. Everyone in my family has white fur excpet for me 'cause I got yellow fur. Kinda weird, isn't it?"

Amesi perked her small round ears, curious as to what this other cub had to say. She had only met one other cub outside of her family, and so she found it extremely exciting to meet another one. She wanted to meet the whole pride, adults included. But she'd get to the adults when she was older and when they actually needed to know her. But for now..

"Gods?" she asked, unknowingly related to one. Glancing up to the sky--as she would suspect they lived up in the sky for she had surely never seen one on the ground--she let her mouth hang open in awe.

"You really think they exist?" she asked, taking her gaze away from the sky so that it could settle on him. "It'd be amazing to meet one, wouldn't it. We could go around telling everyone that we met one and then they'd be so proud of us because we found a god!" She could almost see it now. Her father and mother would be so proud of her. And then she could take her whole family to see the god!

"Let's go find one!" she said excitedly, her dream bugging her to make it a reality.

She giggled at him. "Thanks, I like yours too. Kewu... Kewu..." she muttered, attempting to get the whole name. But it was hard, she had never had to shape such a difficult name with her mouth. "Chewy!" she finally exclaimed, laughing and pouncing on him. Her tail flicked in a playful manner, then she got off of him and looked at the sky again.

"You do kinda look bright like the sun, huh?" she asked, glancing between him and the sky a few times. As he mentioned being the only one that was yellow, she blinked at him. "I'm the only one in my family who doesn't have any purple. You think it's weird? I think we are just special." Yes, special, as her father had always told her. Special in the best way imagineable.

"But let's go find a god!" she said, bouncing up on her paws. She wanted to meet a god!

His small, creamy yellow ears perked upwards as his cerulean o rbs kindled with a brilliant, mischevious light abiding within them. He had yet to meet a god but his mother, Tai, spoke of them and had actually met one! Kewu was determined and had his heart set on meeting one and asking them all sorts of questions. He wanted to get stronger, faster!

Gods could help him, right?

"Yeah! My mom said she met one once and if we find one then the whole pride will think we gotta be strong because we did. Maybe my brothers will actually follow me for once," he grinned, tail flicking behind him with the thought of being reverred as a leader at last.

At her exclamation, Kewu'Chaka bounded upwards and nodded his head. "Lets go!"

He merrily trotted with a heavy step, acting mighty and valiant as the exploration was to commence. But before he could continue, Amesi suddenly pounced and topped on him. He staggered slightly, weighed down and flopping onto his stomach. "It's Chaka!" He grumbled although he couldn't help but laugh and rolled onto his paws once again. Shaking his fur and pawing at his small mane that was not yet visible upon his head, Kewu continued but kept a grin tucked at the corner of his maw.

"That's what my mom said," he replied, swaying his tail behind him as he nodded. But hearing that she was without the family color, he tilted his head. "Really? You don't got purple on you like your family?" The idea of being special seemed to sink in, settling within his mind with a likable sound. "We're probably just the best out of our family so we had to be different," he added, struting alongside the female cub.

Looking around the pridelands, Kewu'Chaka wrinkled his muzzle. "Where should we look first for a god?"

Amesi had never really though of gods, actually, since no one she knew had ever mentioned them before. Her father was mostly based in reality, so she wasn't sure if he'd be willing to believe the existance of a god or goddess even if he ran into one randomly. But now that she had met the yellow male in front of her, she found it exciting, the idea of meetingn a god. They must be so incredible!

"Really?" she squeaked, leaning forward slightly. His mother had met a god! That was simply too amazing. She wondered if they could find that same god. "Where did she find the god?" she asked. She may have been childish and girly, but she had a good, intelligent brain. She figured if they found the general area where his mother had met the god, then maybe they could meet the god too!

Giggling as they tumbled about, she then rolled onto her side and pawed at his face slightly, trying to get at his ears. "Chewy!" she argued, though she was laughing as she did so. She liked the sound of Chewy, as she couldn't pronounce his full name all at once.

Nodding as she picked herself up and stood upon her paws (her fur now terribly discolored with dirt), she tilted her head and looked at Kewu. "Nope, no purple!" she declared. At first she had wondered whether she wasn't really a part of her family, but just some straggler they had taken in. But then she figured that it didn't matter. Looks meant nothing in a family, and she had just been randomly born without purple. At least, that's what her father had said. And she always believed him.

"Yeah, the best!" she giggled, bouncing on her toes.

When asked where they should go first, she glanced around quickly, then suddenly darted off in one direction. "This way!" she laughed. "Come on!"
