ya know... now that i think on it... i think they should make all types of different genres on final fantasy 7... they've got the RPG and a shooting game one for it already...

yeah, me neither. but i suggest you do your research before making stuff like this. Erghiez was a fighting game that had cloud, yuffie, and sephiroth as playable fighters, and it was awful. Therefore no to the question.

I don't know, I don't like S.E. making games that re not RPG's. I didn't like Dirge that much, so a fighting game,... maybe...

well.. i might not be the one to say anything ,but i think it would be better if they made a coalition of all the finalfantasies in a fighting game that way you have more characters and different fighting styles. The whole thing from 7-12 and i think it would be great. and that game Enrghiez i prolly butcher the name. was actually kida good if u knew what you were doing. Cloud was able to use his limits in his fighting style even though he was kinda slow.

Well, if it's any consolence to you people they have the Itadoki Street Special where you play as any FF character in a sort of Mario Party game world. It looks so cute 'cause all the characters are in Chibi form!!! ^ ^
But it's only released in...Japan...Curse the Japanese for keeping all the good stuff to themselves! stressed

The only real way to get it to work as a fighting game is to have the basics set properly and the specials or attack moves of each character done in a specific way. As well as having specials/Limit Breaks and various things added. If worked on properly enough it would be a great fighting game.

UGH, this really bothers me on 2 counts.
1. Erghiez was actually a good game, but it had a steep learning curve. Once you had practiced a lot, it was a much better fighting game than most at the time, due to the quantity of advanced techniques.
2. IT IS NOT A FINAL FANTASY FIGHTER. It was developed by Dream Factory, and after its failure in arcades (it was HARD, and no one wanted to blow the money to get good) they presented it to Squaresoft, who marketed it, in exchange for putting FFVII characters in it (Cloud, Sephiroth, Tifa, Yuffie, Vincent, Turk VIncent, and Zack). They, however, overshadowed the game itself, and it became "Now FFVII Enters the Arena.)

On topic, however, I think a FFVII fighter in the vein of Tekken, Virtua, or Soul Calibur, would be bad, as 99% of games from Square Enix since it became Square Enix. I think, that as a whole, Squaresoft was better than Squenix.

As far as a Final Fantay fighter in general goes, I think what they should do is make a game that can read game data from FF1-10 and import characters into the game, allowing two players to combat their respective parties.
