Anyway, I just sent an email via the form on the Dears site. It took a few tries, but I got it.
My heart won't stop pounding. I feel weird, haha. Twenty two and sending a fan letter.
I've heard on other boards that he will sometimes reply if he has the time. I'll let you all know if something happens!

Same! And I have been told that he tries to read all the mail and reply. Or something like that. Did you write or type what you wanted to say in Japanese or in English?

I wrote him in English. I know his grasp on the language is great, I just don't know how well he reads it.
In the letter I did mention that I would have written in Japanese if I could speak it better, but I don't know it well enough to write a full letter. Though if he were a shop owner and I wanted a price we would be in business, haha!
I heard people saything that either they got a super quick reply like two or three days, and then some said that they didn't get any at all. No big. I'll report whatever happens!

If he replies he replies, if he doesn't he doesn't. It was just something fun to do.
If I didn't do something because of the possibility of negative outcomes life wouldn't be any fun.

I will warn you, Marasu, the form on the dears site is a pain in the butt. It took me three different tries to actually get the thing to send.
In the box where it asks for the member number type no number. That was where I screwed up.

A friend and I did it once and he responded to her. I thought she was going to die because of how hyped she was about it. She just told him how much she liked his music and asked just general questions like how he was, anything exciting happen lately to him, did he heard about 9/11.
We left New York the SAME DAY HE FILMED HIS VIDEO!!! I told her we should have stayed an extra day. People never listen to me sad

I just complimented him on his versatility as an artist. There aren't many artists that can go from a heavy sound to a poppy sound (like Vanilla) and back again, and that really impresses me. That and the fact that he can write his own songs, compose the music, and play the instruments too if he has to. I'm from a family of musicians and that is something my dad encouraged early on, learn all that you can because you never know when you may have to do it all yourself in the studio!
That's cool that he responded. I also asked if he was ever going to tour the US.
I would like to hear something back, but I am not counting on it. Again, coming from a family of musicians I know how hectic life can be when you are recording/ touring/promoting etc. It's not a bowl of fun, that's for sure!
@ EuthanasiaOfSanity - How long did it take for him to respond? I have heard anywhere from two days to a month to never, haha!

I've got a pretty fair grasp on the language so I was going to send a letter to him written in Japanese but as I was about to click the submit button my heart had beeen already going doki doki the whole time I wrote it, by the time I was ready I didn't have the courage to do it xd good luck!
