I've only played a few deans in my time, but I Really liked a dean hardtail that I picked up one day at a guitar store. Had nice tone, action and feel. I'd say the two companies are about even in that they both produce low end crap, but high end goodies.

I should chose Dean, fore there awesome styling and because they jsut sound amazing, a very unique sound, and ibanez don't play that great i think the neck is just so wierd because its so flat on most models, not realy my style xd

I love them both , there both really really great brands . I would have them both I would . The hardtale non-floyd ones . But both can make some crappy guitars once and awhile lol .

I acually really like Ibanez. They're lightweight, affordable, and sound great. I used mine at a multi-band thing at The Trocadero in Philly last October and I was having a hard time deciding whether to use my Ibanez or my Dean and I chose my Ibanez. It has a switch function that allowed me to change from a harsher sound to something a little less distorted. It felt much more comfortable, too. But that's just me.

I'd say to go with Dean. I think they have a better sound and feel. Most models of Ibanez have a thin neck and it's just harder to move up and down the fretboard 'cause it slides around in the empty space in your palm. So I'd say to go with Dean.
