Just a lot of brainstorming ideas
~Story (Idea in progress)~
Adoliza-Monimono-Tinzetcain. This was the goddess of water and natural beauty to a ancient alaskan tribe. It is believed that she was the guardian of a underwater paradise similar to that of the more modern Alantic. This paradise is where orcas lived with no fear of humans or other sea life attacking their pods. Endless food sources were in every direction so nobody starved and there were no dangerous places where calves could get injured or killed from playing there. Some pods today believe this to be a truth and hold it dear, whilest others believe it only to be a myth.
This pod believes it to be truth, and thus have been searching and scanning all the depths of the ocean to find the goddess' paradise once again. Little is known about this goddess except for she has passed on from a natural bone exsistance on earth and had only two children. It is believed that she died from the second birth of her only son, the now present god of weather and thunder. And her daughter, the goddess of the sun sits up high in warmth but is described to be unforgiving of her brother whom she rests the blame of her mother's death on. The goddess' body was released to earth after she died, giving one last touch of beauty to the oceans and all it's creatures inside. This was the day, the first orca was born.
The pod's leader is trying to establish a domination ring around all sections of the main ocean as well as the best areas to fish. She takes in those that she finds will benefit the choices she's making for her group. Other's that are either too weak for her pod or are a threat she intends to take out with any force needed. In order to keep their territory the pod will also fight to the death if the time arises. One day, they will finally find the lost paradise of the orcas.

~Pod Ranking/Jobs~
-Lead Female- (Required: Must be female, strong, etc.) The lead female is first in hunts and first to have dibs on food. She's around when another female gives birth for comfort and to see if the calf is a strong or weak one, she may determine ranking when it's first born. She's got rights to take any male (that's not already taken) as her mate, this whale will more than likely be the lead mate and will stay with her for her lifespan. She picks or gives out ranks as she sees fit even though orcas may compete for positions. The leader has final say in all choices and actions taken by the pod, what she says is what goes. She also chooses who to take in as a pod member and who not to.
-Seconds- (Required: Follow as well as take lead and directions when needed. Should be independent and may be either male or female. There'll be two seconds) These have a similar responsiblity to that of a beta wolf in a wolf clan. They're likely to be paired in both mating and missions. Hunting requires them to be around as much as possible. They might be allowed to help through the birthing of other's calves. They do not have final say in matters but if the lead female isn't around, then take their words on it. Second's also have second dibs on food. Protection is also big part of their responsabilties.
-Thirds- (Required: Follows directions well, help run errands, help in pod choices, and travel first in certain scopes of the areas, There'll be only two whales for this job/rank as well.) Once again they're expected but not required to be breeding partners. They're not nearly as important as the above ranks but they're more important than most. They're expected to be organized in their thoughts and have clear ways of convaying information in a fashionable amount of time. They've got to be somewhat laid back and be able to forsee things that could happen, give all options and results of those choices to the leader and seconds so the best chain of action can be taken. Easiest way to get this ranking is to befriend the lead female.
-Wise- (Required: Creative background/calf-hood, out of the usual personality for a whale, able to ramble productively, Can be male only and must be a adult, there'll only be one whale for this rank.) This whale holds tales of both myth and truth about such topics as life, other pods, human exsistance and their own pod's history. He's the primary advisor to the head female as well as the seconds. This male also must be able to give little bits of information/insight of what is asked of him in a large, drawn out story...sometimes witholding key information.
-Hunt Leader- (Required: Physically strong, dominating personality, smart, quick thinker, organized thoughts, and mentally strong as well. Only a male may take this rank.) Besides the lead female this whale is second in charge if the pod goes on a hunt. If only a few whales are going on a hunt, then he's in full charge of the group. The lead female depends on this orca for her choice whether or not to move the pod for better food supplies or whatnot. He's also responsiable for protection of the pod, including calves and also his hunting partners.
-Look Outs- (Required: Great eyesight and ability to see detail very clearly, attentive and smart, and of course relyable. There's two whales that may have this rank and may be either gender.) These two orcas are to swim around and keep their eyes peeled for anything abnormal or dangerous. They're expected and have a strong responsiblity to report anything to the leader as quickly as possible. If the time arrises they could have to fight other animals and might be first to encounter them. The leader depends on them partly for her pod's protection and well being.
-Pod Leader Heiress- (Required: Same qualities as current leader, younger and hand picked by the lead female herself, must also be female. There may only be one) This whale is younger than the current female leader and may be a calf when picked.
-Lead Mate- (Required: Only a male can take this rank. This rank may be lost or gained, depending on the interaction and activity within the pod.) This is the mate of the lead whale, respect is granted however he will be bossed around by the lead when and if the time arises that she needs full control with no exceptions.
-Normal Whales- (Required: The only requirement is that you're part of the pod and have no other rank.) Normal whales are able to live a rather simple life because nothing overly dramatic occurs with them and the pod. However if there's any battles taking place, or group feeds as may very well arise these whales must take part in that. If they flee from a fight, they're very likely to be kicked from the pod, if they don't go with the group to feed they might have issues catching their own food and it certainly won't be as large of a scale as it would with the pod.

Chane: Tough, hardheaded, cold, malicious, fast, cunning, persuasive.
Savarna: Still a calf, being worked out.
