At the moment I'm in the process of gathering information and testing everything to bring you the most complete and accurate guide I can. Please be paitent as testing will take a bit, but even in its early stages, I think this guide can be of use. With this guide I wish to cover all of the techniques in gold earning I have picked up over the years. Yes, I said years. I have been on Gaia for a long time and have seen the gold system change in massive ways. I get many who ask how to earn gold, and since the guild is asking for the scoop, I'll share my techniques. On average I earn 1k per day following these paramaters: I spend 4-6 hours doing things to earn gold. Earning gold has become very easy over the years and I hate to see anyone not be able to earn that 1k per day. So, on with the guide!

Earning Gaia Gold: The Basics This section is here to tell you some of the daily things you can do to increase your hord of Gaian currency.
Posting:
The first post you make each day will earn you 50 gold. Your second post usually gains you 22 gold. After that you can post about 20 times and get gold consistantly. You won't earn more than 22 gold from your posts from that time on. Once you stop earning gold consistintly you will earn 2-4 gold per post randomly.
Profile Comment: (section under testing)
The first comment you make each day will earn you 40 gold. Your second earns you aprox 22 gold. The next 10-15 comments will grant various amounts of gold, but no more than 22. After those comments you will earn a few gold per comment randomly.
Journal: (section under testing)
The first Journal entry is worth 50 gold. I don't do much with the journals, so I don't know much more than this at the moment. I am testing things and will have more info soon.
Voting:
The first vote you make is worth 14 gold. The next vote is worth various amounts ranging from 8-12 gold. The next 8-10 votes will earn you various amounts of gold no more than 8-12 (depending on what your second vote earned you). After the 8-10 posts you will consistantly earn 0 gold or the surfing gold (explained later). You can still earn gold, but it ranges from 1-7 and is random.
PMs:
Currently gold is disabled on PMs. It was 50 gold for the first, but due to users spamning and causing problems, this has been taken away.
Surfing:
Clicking on forums, looking at pages, and not doing more than looking will earn you 2-4 gold every so often. This happens both consistantly and randomly. Usually every 2-5 page changes will get you gold. Though, I have had surfing gold for 4 consecutive page changes and also gone for 10 or so page changes without seeing anything.
Towns:
Shaking trees, rocks, and bushes will randomly award you with gold. Anything from 1-7 gold can be attained.
Daily Chance:
This randomly awards things such as game items, gold, and commons. The amounts of gold you get ranges from 5-100. Commons you recive usually have a sellback value of 50-75 gold, but I have on rare occasions gotten ones with slightly higher sellbacks as well as ones with lower sellbacks. The game items don't have much of a value and these items are explained later.
Play Games:
Game grant you several things- gold, tickets, items. More on these later, but play these consistantly and you'll add to your gold.
Paitence:
This is the key to earning gold. Earning gold takes time and time means paitence. It is possible to earn 1k or more a day and there was a time when you were lucky to earn 200 gold a day. Keep in mind there is no 'quick' way to earn gold without breaking rules.
Know Your Prices:
Look at price guides when you wish to sell your items. Don't sell too low, but don't sell too high. I have price guide info later on as well as techniques for using rares/monthlys/uncommons to your advantage.
How Do I Use This Info?
Well, here's a basic rundown of what I do after I log in. First collect all of the daily chance things. Earns 25-75 gold on average. I then check announcments, friends, pms, and so on. Doing this will generally earn 10-20 gold. Then I go to my threads and reply for awhile. This earns 200-250 gold. Guilds are next. I take polls, reply, and do guild stuff earning another 100-150 gold. After that I go to the arenas and check things out there, then back to the threads. Once through that process I usually have accumulated 500-700 gold. To reach the rest of the 1k per day, I go play games (generally Jigsaw) and suppliment the gold that way. Remember this is a general average. I can and have earned much more in a day depending on events (ie extra stuff from the daily chance, gift boxs, enchanted trunks, selling of inventory, and so on).The time this takes to do ranges from 4-6 hours out of the day. More time will earn more gold.

Earning Gaia Gold: Quests First there are two kinds of quests on Gaia. The first is one the site takes you through to earn gold and/or items. The second is a self made quest to get people to help you gain gold to buy the item(s) of your dream.
Gaia Quests:
Moria- Earns you the Ohh~Clean Blue Head Wrap, 90 gold, Blue Flame Top
User Quests:
These are posts made in the Chairity/Quests subform of the Exchange form. First, pick an item that is going to take you a long time to get. For example, the fairy wings. Go to the exchange forum and click on the charity/quests subforum. Read the rules and stickies there for some good info on questing. Remember the goal is to get people to help you get the item you desire.

Managing Gold: Monthly Collectibles/Rares/Uncommons/Event
Untill I have more time here's some general info.
Monthly Items:
These are items that are released once, and only once, on Gaia. Each month there is a new set of items. If you send $2.50 to Gaia you will recive a sealed envelope in your inventory. The envelope can be opened on the 15th of the month the sealed was released, and anytime after. When you open the sealed you will have a choice between 2 items (there was one sealed containing 3, but none since). Chose the item you wish for and it'll be in your inventory. Once opened you can't reopen the sealed. Instead the item you choose will be there.
Rares:
These are items found in Pink Gift Boxs and Golden Enchanted trunks.
Uncommons:
These are found in Brown Gift Boxs and Wooden Enchanted Trunks.
Blue Gift Boxs:
Contains either a rare or uncommon item.
Pink Link:
Something with a pink glow on the page.
Event Items:
These are things given out for special occasions such as Easter or Christmas.

Managing Gold: Inflation and History This is just a section of a few helpfull hints for beating inflation, and a general history of making Gaia gold to put inflation into proper perspective. Things used to be much cheaper, but gold used to be much harder to earn.
