Okay so i'm a goth who loves to read a LOT. Aside from Bram Stoker's Dracula I can't seem to find good peices of gothic liturature. Anything from supernatural to documents on serial murders. Anything someone can find me i'd be very greatful. I need the book name and the name of the author.

If you have not read this already, I suggest "Interview With The Vampire" by a miss Anne Rice.

If you like things about serial killers, then look for Mindhunter and The Cases That Haunt Us, both by John Douglas. He's an FBI forensic profiler. Good reads

I have a great book of compiled gothic horror shot stories. It's called 'Great Tales of Terror from Europe and America'.
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood is damn awesome. God damn kick-a** book.
And 'Dracula's Diary' is pretty funny.

Hm, I didn't personally enjoy Dracula much myself, same with Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. But for gothic litereature, there's quite a pile to choose from.
Anne Radcliffe, though she ends to explain away many of the supernatural elements of her novels, which some what spoils them - they seem a monumental cop out neutral Northanger abbey - Jane Austen - 19th century satire J. Sheridan Le Fanu A picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde - Good story, execution lacked a little finese
Poetry: Byron perhaps Charles Beaudelaire Paradise Lost - John Milton
Try some of the classics of you enjoy epic poetry: The Illiad, The Oddesy The Aenead Dante's Inferno (I'd reccomend reading these if you just want to seem intellectual xd It works!)

If you are into Manga then you should read Godchild. Here's what it is about ((whats writen on the back))
Deep in the heart of 19th century London, a young nobleman names Cain walks the shadowy cobblestone streets of the aristocratic society into which he was born. Forced to become an earl upon the untimely death of his father, Cain assumes the role of head of the Hargreaves, a noble family with a dark past. With Riff, his faithfull manservant, and Mary Weather, his 10-year-old half sister, Cain investigates the mysterious cromes that seem to follow him wherever he goes.
Four gripping tales of murder and mayhem complete this chilling first installment from reowned author of Angel Sanctuary. Godchild is a manga series that gothic fans shouldn't miss!
It's very cool. I just got the first and second one Friday and I am obsessed with it

This may sound a bit silly, but go to antique bookshops and look around a bit. I've gotten many a giant complilation of horror stories there - GOOD compilations too, and not too expensive, one of mine's got about thirty different authors in it, including Poe, Algernon Blackwood, and Lovecraft. Not to mention books made around the turn of the century with schnazzy leather covers and buckles will definitely make you feel fancy and literate.

Nueromancer - William Gibson, Do androids dream of electric sheep? - Philip K. d**k Good Omens - Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaimen
May sound like odd choices I know, but trust me in this, they are good ones particular to goth culture as a whole, not just cyber-goth. Especially Nueromancer (Founder of the Cyberpunk genre) all have very dark undertones and very subversive natures. Though not to everyones tastes.
Just one more that popped into my head.
But with Gaimen, go into American Gods and Mirrormask aswell as Good Omens and Sandman.
Also the Vampire Hunter D books by Hideyuki Kikuchi, have now been translated by Dark Horse, I highly recommend them.
Oh and anything by James Herbert... I recommend starting with Haunted erm... I think thats it for now anyway, if I think of anything else I'll post it. :3

There is a book actually called 'Gothic'. It doesn't have one specific author because it's a collection of morbid stories. I enjoyed it thoroughly, I recommend it.
