~Appearance~

Height: 5'9

Weight: 155
Hair: Gabriel's hair is extremely blonde, and it goes to about just below his ears. It has no real style, and merely sits on his head like a messy mop
Eyes: Both his eyes are a extremely dark blue, very much like the ocean.
Clothing: The traditional Shinigami robe, only there is a rusty chain wrapped around his waist like a belt. The ends of the sleeves and the hem are very frayed.
Physical Description: Gabriel has a fairly muscular frame, being just a tad on the skinnier side. His skin is of pale complexion, with no real color in his face unless he's either angry or embarrassed
Background: Gabriel was born and raised in a small obscure village in an even more obscure country. There was a constant struggle against starvation, as food was scarce. Gabriel belonged to one of the luckier families who managed to get enough food to stay alive. But things never seemed to improve. After Gabriel's uncle died of a mysterious disease that had been slowly making its way through the village, something bizarre happened only a week after his death.

A Hollow appeared in his village, and ravaged more than half of the houses there. It consumed dozens of souls, Gabriel's father and older sister among them. Amazingly enough, Gabriel's spiritual senses were awakened when the Hollow appeared. What appeared to be a cloaked Shinigami stopped the Hollow's rampage. Before the Hollow's mask was split, it was revealed to be Gabriel's uncle. Gabriel was confused and distraught after witnessing the whole incident, and screamed accusations and questions at the Shinigami as he left. The masked Shinigami turned and told Gabriel that a Hollow isn't nessecarly an evil thing to begin with, but is often something good that has been twisted and distorted until it is absolutely unrecognizable.

As it turned out, the disease slowly killing off the inhabitants of the village was the Bubonic Plague. Also known as the Black Death. Ezekiel watched his weaker siblings slowly suffer and die by the disease's hand. Eventually, with all his family dead, and his house taken over by a local gang, Gabriel died alone and cold in the middle of a cold, snowy winter.


Personality: Gabriel, despite his rather dark and gloomy past, still manages to always look on the bright side. He ended up bottling up all of his sorrow and pain deep inside of him, which may have influenced his Zanpakutou Soul's appearance. He is sometimes extremely aloof, often forgetting training appointments or assigned work. His look on life is an extremely care free one.

Despite his occasional laziness, he has a constant desire to better himself. From this desire branches the tendency to become easily depressed when he fails a task or loses a fight. Nevertheless, Gabriel loves fighting and joking around, often making himself the clown in a group of friends.

Zampakutou Appearance (Sealed): A traditional Japanese katana, the guard is shaped like the letter Z. The Handle is shaded black with silver studs down the middle. The blade itself is an unusually shiny silver with a black stripe down the edge.

Zampaktou Soul: Kurogai takes on the appearance of the classic Grim Reaper. Only there are two differences, instead of a skull for its face, there is a Hollow's Mask. Kurogai's appearance is loosely based off the events of Gabriel's life before he died.
