The dark male woke again with a yawn, paws pressing out in front of him, though he did well to avoid the female he curled up against as he did so, feeling a 'crack' in his spine as it happily readjusted itself to where IT wanted to be, and not where the rocky surface he lay on did.
How much sleep had he grabbed since his -first- awakening of the morning. Freaking ja-... little lion. He was still waiting for something to leap out of NOWHERE and latch to his face again. Dear lord he couldn't imagine how his mother had survived him, now that he thought about it. Ai had been a morning TERROR. Dear lord he'd been HORRIBLE now that he thought about it.
Sitting up on his side, the adolescent looked at the 'Kat-one' wit a bit of a smile, grooming the side of her head to see if she was awake (or about to paw at his face with a whine for waking her up..) before he moved to rise up to his feet, yawning again as he did so.
Now he'd simply wait until she was up until he made his next move.

Kat had a smile on her maw, her feet twitched now and again, she was running, running after, something. She wasn't sure what it was, but something was evading her. What was that black thing? Someone else? She tried running faster. Was that her...her...sister?! "Kitsune?! Kitsune wait!" but the other didn't answer. Was it her sister or were her eyes playing tricks on her.
The figure started to disappear, and Kat ran frantically, as she caught up with it, she saw her sisters eyes, then they were gone, a black figure in front of her, she felt something warm against he cheek... and she crashed into it,
"Wait!" Kat said softly in a whisper, sort of loud enough to hear, but she flailed in her sleep and knocked into something. Her hazel eyes opened and she peered around, where was Ai? Then she remembered she was leaning against something and she peered up, a goofy half-asleep smirk/smile on her maw, "Morning..."

Ai was knocked forward a bit by the suddenly waking female, putting his paws up against the wall of their 'den', before turning his head back to look at the hazel eyes that looked at him. A smile formed on his face as he nuzzled the standing female.
"Morning." he greeted in return, beaming a bit.
Using his paws which were pressed against the wall for a bit of leverage, he turned to face her, as opposed to a bunch of ROCK (boooooring..) and leaned against her side with a bit of a purr.
"Did you sleep well?" Ai inquired innocently, having taken note of the slight actions that had formed in her sleep when he'd sat observing her earlier in the morning. For now, unless it was brought up, he wouldn't talk about that. "further, any plans for the day?" he inquired, eyebrows lifting a bit.
SPEND TIME WITH ME!! Mind poke, mind poke.
Ai wasn't trying to BRAINWASH her or anything to only spend time with him... it was just he was starting to really enjoy spending all this time with HER.

"Yea..." she said sleepily, half awake as she rose up on her feet and stretched like a lioness would, she rolled her shoulders and purred to herself. That felt better, her leg didn't quite ache so much today either, which was a good sign. "Weird dream but..I think it ended well," she said with a smile sitting next to him and leaning against his shoulder. Yes, it ended well didn't it?
"Today? Umm..." she pondered in her mind, she had to get past all the daydreaming she was already doing of...things, and she came up with nothing. "Not really, I mean, where would I go?" she said poking him, giggling, "I'd get lost if I wandered anywhere without you, plus, I don't want to wander or go anywhere ..." say it!say it! he mind was rattling, "...without you..it'd be...weird..."
It would be weird, she'd feel strange, out of place, like something was missing. She padded forward a few steps to turn around and face him, crouch down with a playful look on her maw, :"Come on..show me some cool places today Ai....please?" she leaned forward and peered up at him with the biggest 'you can't say no' eyes she could pull off.
She just wanted to be with him today...she wasn't sure why.

He watched as she considered his question, waiting intently for her to answer him, before smiling at the response he got. Pressing his cheek against hers, Ai nodded. "Of course. Why would I show you anything boring?" he inquired jokingly. Now.. where on earth would he show her?
Ai returned the crouching pose, his butt up in the air in a sort of adorable manner (for a growing lion, though if it were to be pointed out, he'd pout like an immature kid and squeak 'NOOOO'. Yes, Squeak. His voice did that sometimes. EMBARASSING! )
He only held the post for a moment, before he bonked his head gently against hers and moved to crawl out of their 'hiding place', waiting, one he had, for her to join him. In fact, waiting for her to meet his side had grown, so quickly, into habit. He -had- to have her by his side or he'd worry that something would happen to her.
When had he become so obsessed with her and her saftey? Ai wouldn't say it was a bad obsession, however.
In fact, she was possibly the best thing that had ever happened to him. He wouldn't say that either.

Kat watched as he took a poses and she smirked at him, what was he trying to pull hmm? She was the one using the cute looks and such to get him to take her to fun places. She wondered where they would go today. Oh! Maybe Ai had more fun hiding places.
She flicked her tail and followed him out, as she stepped out she stretched her back leg, the injured one, to make it more comfortable to walk on. She bounced up to him, nuzzled his head under his chin and purred, realized what she was doing and pulled back.
Well...where did that come from?
It took her by surprise that she did that, but it didn't feel too awkward...hmm, what was happening? This was confusing her but it wasn't, so strange to think opposites but they are the same and different all at once...now her head was spinning. "So where are we going Ai? Take me away somewhere!" Kat said with a smile and a playful nudge.
She couldn't wait to see where he'd take her, she wanted to see it all.

If Ai had ran OUT of hiding places to show her in the time she'd been back in the pridelands, Ai would not have been a very good wandering-child, now would he? So yes, he had plenty of places to go and show her. Perhaps some HE wouldn't fit into anymore as a hiding spot.. but he'd probably still be able to find stuff he'd stashed into hiding... (or dead animals.. ick.. )
He waited as she checked her leg, pondering to himself how it was doing in the healing process. However, his brain turned to mush after a moment, finding that Kat had perched her head underneath his chin, causing him to purr a bit, awkwardly. Kat pulled away from him before he could fully comprehend what had JUST happened to him.
What. On earth?
However, she seemed to dismiss it, so he did as well (he'd have to think over it later and maybe as his mother what on EARTH that meant. He was a stupid guy, he -had- to ask.)
"Where are we going?" he repeated, then grinned in a sort of 'plotting while being charming' sort of way. "Why, if I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise!"
It was a suitable enough answer as he started to walk from their hiding place. Now.. where was the closest place to show her that he hadn't ALREADY shown her in the past?

A surprise? Yay she loved surprises! She smiled and bounced around Ai in a circle, waiting to go. Why was she so...hyper...and happy today? Why was today different from any other day? This was strange, she was confused, she liked it but still...what did this mean? She wished her mother was still around so she could ask Kat was just a fully grown cub that had never gotten 'the talk' from anyone.
She was not knowledgable on a lot of things really...
She then jumped in front of him, crouched down, her but in the air, wiggled herself a bit and 'pounced' forward to knock her head against his chest lightly, then poke at his shoulder. She wanted to go already! " Can we go now...please?" she asked with big eyes again.
This was fun.

She was so much like a kid on christmas, wanting to see what there was in their presents. It was adorable on many different levels. Made him wonder if he too acted like that....... probably did.
He 'oomph'ed a bit when she head-butted his chest, bumping his head against hers again, before strolling around her. "We're goooing.. I am WALKING." he said outloud so she'd notice that yes, he was determining WHERE they were going. Well.. he knew one place...
But he hadn't actually been allowed to go there. WHOLE reason why he had gone in the first place, pure curiousity to be exact. Ai never wanted to go check that place out again. So not there.
He bumped against Kat's side while he thought, looking down at her, before his brain clicked. Ah-ha! He'd -so- thought of a good place to go!
So he started to circle the giant rocky structure of HOMEEEEEE, humming some variously random tune (WTH?) as he did so, a bit of a bounce in his step. "So.. are you liking your stay here as of late?" Ai inquired.

"Yes...it's nice here...nicer then...home ever was..." Kat said softly, walking side by side with him, a smile on her maw regardless of speaking about her past. This was present time now, she had a new home, new friends, Ai, she had Ai, that made everything better. "Though at home it was okay...my sister...she would sing for me..."
Kat nodded as she said her sister would sing. She had the softest voice ever, Kat ha been jealous of her, she even sang right before she fell asleep...when she fell asleep and didn't wake up again. "She'd fantasize about things, when we'd be older...she thought we would date twins when we were old enough," she said with a laugh.
Ya...didn't turn out that way did it?
"do you believe we happened for a reason?...'cuz you know I do,and could you believe that this was meant to be?..."she remembered that song. Kitsune made Kat promise to sing it with her one day, Kat never got to cpomplete that promise...
"and she said yeah yeah yeah...yeah yeah yeah... oooh oh ...oooh oh... Yeah yeah yeah ...yeah yeah yeah... wa oh ..wa oh..." she said softly, she didn't have a high strong voice like Kitsune did, but she tried, it wasn't great. She didn't even finish and she turned her head and blushed. She knew it was repetative, but what could she do? She wouldn't change her sisters song...
She just couldn't do that.
"We were silly when we were young..."

Ai listened contently as she explained how her childhood with her sister had been, nodding. Kat made it sound like such a nice thing. Then again, he too had spent much time in his childhood playing out in the dark of night with his sister. So, in some ways, he could relate to the dreamy-state she lioness went into.
He felt a sort of burning feeling coming up in his chest at the comment about 'marrying twins', before Ai looked away to keep himself from getting jealous of a non-existant pair (or possibly a pair who sneezed at the thought of being beaten up by the pridelander.. ). However, he looked back to her when she made her odd inquiry..
Wait.. that -wasn't- a question!
So he listened as she sang, head bouncing a bit. However, when it cut short, he looked towards her again and tilted his head to one side. Why had she stopped? It'd sounded so lovely too.
"Everybody is silly when they're young, though." he replied, frowning a bit. Some were more 'silly' than others, however.

"True, it was fun though, she helped me through a lot of things when she was here," Kat said with a nod. Then she scooted closer to Ai and smiled at him, flicked her tail and gently nudged him. She wanted to get to the spot already!!! It was driving her crazy, she wanted to get there soon.
Though good things come to those who wait right?
One thing her sister said that she still remembered.
She wondered how Ai's life was with his family, his siblings and parents. She wondered if his parents would like her...like her being around Ai. She didn't want them to get mad at Ai for being away from them so much, but then again, she wanted him to stay around her more though...what was happening? She was confusing herself!
"We almost there?" she asked in a playful tone, nudging him softly again, a slight purr escaping her lips, then she stopped it, realizing she was the one making that sound. This was so strange... but she liked it.

Ai was part-way up the steps of the pride-rock, seeming to want to place himself up on the top of the flat rock that jutted out (place where in the movie they were all 'WE'RE SHOWIN' OFF A BABY!') over where they'd been sleeping just a while before.
"Oh be patient." he teased, bumping his shoulder back against hers and continuing to climb. "We're getting closer, yes.." Ai insisted, then chuckled a bit. She was so much like a cub at times, getting excited over little things, and then bouncing in anticipation for other things to happen.
The dark male stopped once he had climbed up to the flat place the steps had climbed up to, waiting for Kat to catch up with him, while looking off towards the horizon. The sun sure was pretty that morning, to say the least. Ai heaved a bit of a contented sigh, then looked to Kat, smiling. "I come up here some mornings to watch the sun rise." he explained, then turning to continue walking.
There seemed to be a bit of a pathway that opening up from where the pair stood, winding up the shape of the rock, and large enough for the pair to walk on, shoulder-to-shoulder. (Again, in the movie, Mufasa and Simba went up this path!)
At the top, the rock flattened out again, and Ai sat to one side of it.
What a view! Someone could see EVERYTHING from there.

"Okay okay..." she said almost giggling a bit. She was too excited, she wanted to see where they were going already! She walked close to him, her shoulder nearly touching his every time she took a step. She smiled to herself, this was nice, both of them together, alone and such. It was nice, she wondered if her sister would snicker at her at this moment.
She probably would.
Kat flicked her tail as they got up higher, she peered down...it was rather high and she gulped, trying to get up to a wider place for she feared she could fall off rather easily. As they reached the top she saw the sun, and her eyes were captivated...it was so gorgeous.
"Oh wow..." she said taking a few steps forward then stopping where Ai was.
So he came here to watch the sun?
This was a great place to do it.
The sun shined over everything she could see, except for a more shadowy area to the far far right of them, but she paid no mind to them, only on everything else they saw. The Pridelands were so big, she never would've imagined. Surely she'd get lost once or twice here, but she'd get used to it after a while.
"It's so pretty..." she said leaning against his shoulder a bit.
The perfect moment surely it was.

I should've warned her to not look down.... OOPS. The thought passed through Ai's head a -little- too late. But the brown female seemed to handle it well, even though she -had- looked down.
She wasn't freaking out at least. That was good.
A beam of pride appeared from the adolescent as his companion fell silent in awe. He'd made a good decision with bringing her up there, he decided. Her response alone had made it worth it, but there was something else that added onto it as well.
He rested his head against the top of her head when she leaned against his shoulder, smiling.
"Mmmhmm...." he agreed, and lifted a paw to motion towards the dark-spot off in the distance. "There's a pride out there." Ai explained. "Well, two. A lion pride, and a hyena pack." How he KNEW these things, was interesting.
"I wandered out there once when I was little. I'm never going back there again. It was scary." he explained, then shivered a bit. He nuzzled his face into the back of Kat's neck and purred a bit afterwards, though, to negate the freaked-out action.
