Who here is for or against the current president, George W. Bush?
I am interested in what the general community has to say as of their presidential standards. Please keep it a clean debate. Although we may feel strongly about our opinions, please be sure to contain yourselves and act maturely.
These questions will assist your debate:
-Do you Enjoy having Bush as your president?
-Why or Why not?
-If not, then who do you propose we should have?
-How would you run the country?

-I'm not COMPLETELY against him
-He has some good ideas but how are we going to pay for it?
-I think it's about time we had someone else. I'm not sure who at this point, but someone other than Bush. We're safe in knowing we won't have him again because he can only be president for 8 years.
-Me? I'd get rid of the party system so some people who have good ideas and have no alliance to the republican or democratic party are able to be voted in. Wasn't it George Washington who, before he died, did everything in his power to keep the govt. free of parties?
Like them or not those are my answers to the questions asked above. I'm willing to argue with anyone who wants to in a calm/civilized way. Unless you're an extremist or person who just doesn't listen to reason, then we might have to take it to the private messages.

-I really don't mind having him as president.
-I admit he's did some stupid things but people are blaming him for things he didn't even do. As president he isn't the one who declares war, yet everyone says George Bush did everything. Also in comparison to John Kerry, I like George Bush better.
- I would try to be very fair if I was President. I always was interested in politics and would listen to everyone's opinion. I would find it hard though because in my personal opinion, America is very greedy, stubborn, and unreasonable. Also very cynical. But I would still try my best to make fair decisions and try to stay away from war.
btw Semper you don't have to stick with the party you chose, you can be controversal. Being Republican doesn't mean you can't vote Democrat, and vice versa. Same goes to the other parties. So yea that's my answer to the question. Most people don't care about the good things George Bush has done and at the same time tend to eggagerate on his mistakes and blame him for everything all because of what their parents said. If anyone plans to act like that in response to me then I'm not tolerating it. Like Semper said, if you have an argument then say it calmly and with good reason.

Do you Enjoy having Bush as your president? I'm Canadian so this might be a little bias but I don't like him as your president.
Why or Why not? Well, for one, he is prolonging the war and I know several people who lost very dear loved ones to it.
If not, then who do you propose we should have? Put in a woman.
How would you run the country? I would stop the war, give it up it's not really going anywhere anyways, give out nation wide Medicare, like Canada, and actually listen to the people.
