Siyo whimpered slightly as he lay curled against the den wall. He was having a night terror, and night terrors were something very common to him. This went on for a few more moments before he jerked his head up with a loud gasp, taking as much air into his lungs as he could. He panted a minute, eyes flicking around in a nervous manner before he realized he was alone. What.. wasn't this his family's den? He glanced to the entrance and relaxed just a little. It was towards the end of the afternoon, the best time to do things. They were probably all being active.
Siyo rose and shook off, his legs felt a little shakey and his heart beat still hadn't calmed down fully. He moved from the den into the fresh air, eyes shutting for a moment as he tried to relax. Perhaps some frog catching was in order! The juvenile started off toward the Kusini watering holes.

Azhara was indeed at the watering hole, splashing around the shore. She grinned to herself, her fur dripping wet and eyes bright. What fun!
A flash of silver caught her eyes and she spun around, trying to find the cause. A small fish darted away from her and she raised a brow, her grin still present. She pounced, the water splashing up around her, but she missed her target. With a soft growl she leapt again, but once more the fish escaped. Gritting her teeth with determination, she threw herself forward, feeling the slick scales between her paws.
Unfortunately for her (but not the fish), by then she was in the middle of the pond and could no longer stand up. She gasped for air, flailing around as she tried to find her footing. Finally she felt mud between her claws and she coughed, expelling water from her lungs. Her pride was hurt and just as she was wishing no one had seen her, she noticed her brother approaching.

Something Siyo had not wanted to see though, he didn't like seeing others' embaressments just like he liked to hide his own. "Havin' fun Azzy?" He said instead of 'are you alright' or anything like that, perfering to pretend he just hadn't seen anything. "Did dad teach you how to fish too?" His voice was soft and his tone cautious, he never knew if what he was speaking of was okay or if he even should be speaking.
His tail flicked and he moved to the edge of the water, pearing at his reflection a moment before looking back to his sister. Why did they look so different? He had yet to realize that the only thing the same on them was their tail tuffs and the bit of fur extending from their heads.

Azzy, too, had noticed their different appearances, but it wasn't something that she had thought much of. They shared a scent, a similar scent, and she was pleased about this. The young female didn't spend much time with her family, and it made her happy that there was a unbreakable bond despite that.
"Yep!" she said brightly, her eyes sparkling like the water. "I guess I didn't pay 'nough attention, though. Maybe I shouldn't be splashing around so much!"
Grinning, she shook herself off (remembering to keep a good distance between them, since she had learned most lions didn't like being sprayed with water) and then padded up to Siyo, flicking her tail. "How're you, brother?"
She seemed to catch a trace of his earlier night terror in his voice and movements, frowning slightly. "You okay?" Azzy leaned forward to give him a comforting lick on the cheek. She had seen it happen before, only once, but it was such a vivid memory that it seemed as though she had seen his night terrors many times.

Siyo purred slightly, he felt comfort in his sister's kindness, regardless that she looked more like their parents than he. "I'm not so swell with fishing either." He admitted, a slight spark of cheer in his voice.
How was he? His tail flickered away from his body and his thoughts seemed to disappear. He didn't know how he was, and he certainly didn't want to share his ill-ease with his only sister. "Alright." He lied, and then offered an awkward smile for her.
But she seemed to see through this anyhow as she leaned forward and tried to comfort him with a sisterly-lick and a question of concern. "Er... just a little shaken." He admitted and glanced to his paws. "Night terror." He admitted, then shrugged. "It's okay, cause I'm awake now."

Azzy smiled at him in what she hoped was a reassuring manner. "Good, I'm glad you're better now." She didn't fully understand the night terrors, only knowing that it was something that plagued him and seemed to keep him on edge. Still, anything that upset him upset her.
With a yawn, she stretched, glad to feel the warm sun on her damp fur. "So, if you're better now, how 'bout we play a game?" Her eyes glistened eagerly.

His ears seemed to flatten just slightly and then perk again and his expression became a little blank. He wasn't a big fan of games, but he didn't want to disappoint his sister. "Er... what kind of game?" he said slowly, his voice slightly awkward.

She blinked, tilting her head at his lack of enthusiasm. "Well... we don't have to!" she said, forcing her voice to be cheery again. "We could.. um..."
What was there to do, besides play? Azzy had a carefree view on life and never took anything seriously, so it was a hard question for her. Finally, she said, "We could talk? I don't get to see you very often."

Siyo coughed and bowed his head a little, feeling bad that he did not want to play a game with his sister. "Alright... yeah we don't really see each other." It was probably due to his nature of slinking off and hiding some place quiet in the lands for bigger portions of the day. "Has everything been going alright with you and... mum and dad?" He sort of mumbled the last part. He liked their father very much but he wasn't very fond of their mother.

"Oh, it's good," she said brightly, glad to be away from that uncomfortable feeling. "I mean, I don't really see either of them very much, but I got to spend some time with Daddy recently and he taught me some cool stuff, like how to trick someone and then pounce on them!" She almost asked him if he wanted to see, but then decided not to risk an uncomfortable silence again. Instead, she beamed. "I haven't seen Mama recently but..."
But what? "But it's all good," she finished finally. "How about you, Siyo?"
