That's the only way I'm able to really get through books, I have trouble reading just one I need to have two others on the go. Usually each book is situationed at a place or a certain time of the day. Back in my last year of highschool I did a coop class at another high school as a TA and had a book for that school, a book for my work and a book for at home. I find it gets rid of any boring complications that arise in a novel, because if you get bored, the best thing to do is take a break right? Well, reading other books does just that.
Those were the days, now I hardly have time to read, but I'm forcing myself to, I can't keep reading dry old history crap all the time, blah!

I don't like reading more than one at a time. I get really engrossed (yes, I used the word "engrossed") in just one book and not want to stop reading it. I...MUST...find out what happens eek
Buuuut, I am trying to read more than one at a time. mrgreen

...I used to do it and understand everything....But now I just stick to one book at a time, recently finding it hard to look for a good book these days...

I've done it on occasion, but usually only when neither book was that interesting. If the book is really good, I usually stick to just that one.

I've done it before, mostly when I read more. I never found it hard to keep storylines seperate. Now I usually just stick to one book that I really like.

I have to have a whole stack of books to choose from. That way if the one I'm reading gets boring I can move on to another one and come back to it later. ^_^ Keeps things interesting that way.

I do that all the time, and then I put characters from one book into another and try and fit them to the wrong plot and wonder why it isn't working because I haven't yet rrealised that the character is in the wrong story.

I'm horrible that way. I have three or four books in progress at a time dependent on where they are in relation to me (some are at home, some are at work, etc.), if I pick up a book I really like, and what I'm obligated to read for classes. ><;

I have before but then I kept messing up the story themes between them. So I became a little confused but I got over it.

SpOoKy1vs1 i for one pace myself i take time and consideration with all the books that i read for fun. i have to finish a book before i am allowed to read another. I do the exact same thing. I also have a hard time remember everything if I read a book too fast. My cousin can read about 9 or more at a time. It's insane. I don't see how she does it, but she claims she never mixes the story lines. Once she finishes one, she picks up two more. I think her record was 15. o.O
