So yeah, this weekend was a blast! I tried out live for the first time, while fun, I was suprised with a few things, one it is absolutely impossible to get in the game you want in COD3! I mean why!? It's either, can't connect to host, or can't connect to all players!? But when I hit quick game, I get booted into a game with like 15 plus people playing while I can't enter a game with 5 people in another.... And on Lost Planet, there was a lot of criticism with the voice masking. Sure it is funny, but after I while it gets stupid. One dude put like his radio or something next to his headset while playing the game. Also, people told me to "shut up little kid, you need my permission to speek, did i give you permission to speak!?" and some people who no speak good english, cause i'm met with british who are talking smack, and japanese people talking about who knows what. Xbox live ain't as great I might have thought it was. Nobody is on Perfect Dark Zero, and I plain suck at GRAW, and lag just messes up the games. Mainly in Lost PLanet, there are a number of horrible glitches that just ruin the games rep, rockets that fly right past your shoulder knock you off your feet and kill you. Sometimes while rappidly trying to take back a data post, the thing won't rise and in some cases you're fighting and invisible enemy who is trying to rase the post as well. and my main complaint was the constant lagging out and picking up guns and end up stooping there with your a** up in the air saying, ZOMG! SHOOT ME! SHOOT ME! SHOOT ME RIGHT IN THE CRACK HERE!

Perfect Dark is pretty old. You'll learn fast that games die out pretty quick unless it's something like Halo 2 or GoW.
Call of Duty 3 I've never had connection problems although finding ranked games is tough.
Lost planet is neutral to me.

Live encounters depend on alot of things.

For instance, when I don't play with my friends I rarely talk.

However you can't shut me up when I'm with my buddies.

As far as people being jerks, there is only so much you can do.

First and foremost, don't talk.

Second, if they're giving you s**t and they are on your team then just don't help them. IE: In Gears if a jerk is on my team and he gets downed I leave him there. If they're on the enemy team do your best to beat them, but if they still win don't say anything. No matter what you say they'll just turn it into how they "raped" you. In fact they'll say the same thing about you being silent, but that just shows how childish they really are.

Third, don't start it...it'll probably come back worse. For instance, when playing with my buddy, the only time we lose is if the other team is glitching and/or messing with connection to give them a laggy advantage. So when some person randomly enters a room and the first thing that comes out of his mouth is "You guys are going to ******** die. You SUCK!!!11!!" we rape him, and his team, and in the lobby all you can hear until the next round is, "RAAAPE. RAAAPE. RAAAPE." and maybe some laughter. Unless instigated we're very nice people, and there are alot of people like that on Live.

As for the jerks? Follow rule 1, and just ignore them.



As for glitches like invisible people in LP? Well that's not Live's fault at all. That's Capcom's fault for releasing a game with glitches. It's why they are sending out a patch in March to fix the glitches. smile

oh, so thats the problem, the game automatically pairs you to other players who are in the same zone as you? so pro's aren't geared up with chilled recreationals? so thats my problem, but i still like to be competitive, but i don't wanna put up with trash talkers, cause my dad is constantly taking my mike off my ear and putting it to his and listening. during those few seconds, i'm praying to gawd that someone doesn't say fu**... if you wanna know the way my dad is, seek out and find the old post, "I can't play Gears of War!?" you'll find all my complaints there -_-

I'm pretty competitive, but I play recreation just to avoid the annoying trash-talk.
