This is called Hawaiian Word Mingle.
You will need:
Plain labels or stickers to write on
Markers
Names of all of your guests
List Hawaiian vocabulary words and their English translations
Pens and/or pencils
1.)Creat names and write it in a hawaiian language.
Example of words:
January - ‘Iaunuali (ee-ya-oo new-ahlee)
February - Pepeluali (pay-pay loo-ahlee )
March - Malaki (ma-la-key)
April - ‘Apelila (ah-pe-lee-la)
May - Mei (may-ee)
June - Iune (ee-oo-ney)

Second Step:
Create list of just the Hawaiian words & phrases used on the name badges and make a copy of the list for each guest WITHOUT the English translations.
Numbers of Playes: more than 4 playes are allowed.
(or maybe your whole family to share!)
Once you have the copy of all the answers.
Whoever guess the word meaning of out the hawaiian
word wins!
Points to win: 26
Time limit: it can only take about 2 mintues!

This is also another family or/and dearest friends game!
it is an Island Memory Game.
you will need:
Serving Tray
2 Towels
at least a dozen small hawaiian theme items.
Step 1:
Give all players a sheet of paper, pen or pencil.
Name all the hawaiian items you want it to be named.
Think for about 10 mintues. (don't argue. crying )
then the main or/and 1st play has to cover all the
items with the 2 towels.
the items must be about difficult.
the person who remember all of the names of
the hawaiian items wins!
Introductions:
~You have to names them first for 10 mintues or so.
~then cover it with the 2 towels.
~write all the names of the items.
(don't panic your not going to die...
try your best. If some forgotten skip them.)
~Place the names in order then try to draw how it
looks like. 3nodding

Now for a Hawaiian History!
700 - 900 CE - Polynesian migrations to Hawaii islands. (some estimates are much earlier)
1778 CE - Captain James Cook of England 'discovers' Hawaii.
1821 CE - American missionaries arrive from New England.
1852 CE - First Chinese contract laborers (195) arrive in Hawaii.
1852 - 1898 CE - Approximately 50,000 Chinese laborers, mostly single men, come to Hawaii. 1868 CE - First Japanese laborers (153) arrive in Hawaii.
1877 CE - Portuguese laborers recruited in the Azores.
1878 to 1884 CE - 9,471 Portuguese workers arrive in Hawaii.
1880 CE - Castle & Cook recruits 629 Norwegian to come to Hawaii.
1881 CE - German immigrants recruited to come to Hawaii.
1883 CE - Kingdom of Hawaii limits Chinese importation to 600 per three month period.
1885 CE - Hawaii and Japan resolve issues regarding treatment of contract workers. First large group of Japanese laborers arrive.
1885 to 1924 CE - 200,000 Japanese workers come to Hawaii.
1900 CE - First workers arrive from Puerto Rico, eventually 5,000 would come to Hawaii.
1900 to 1908 CE - Over eight thousand laborers arrive from Okinawa. Okinawa is part of Japan.
1902 CE - First Korean laborers arrive. 7,843 Koreans arrive between 1902 and 1905.
1905 CE - First laborers arrive from the Philippines, then a U.S. territory. By 1916, 18,144 Filipinos arrive in Hawaii.
1907 CE - 2,250 Spanish workers from Malaga arrive to work on the plantations.
1911 to 1920 CE - 3,000 Filipinos arrive in Hawaii each year. 1921 to 1930 CE - over 7,000 Filipinos arrive annually.
Note: CE means common era and means the same as AD.
Conclusion
Immigration to Hawaii was in three big waves: Chinese, Japanese, and then Filipino. There were smaller but substantial migrations of Portuguese, Koreans and Puerto Ricans.

300 - 750 A.D.
Polynesians arrive by outrigger canoe from Tahiti.
1778
British explorer Captain James Cook discovers the Hawaiian Islands and names them Sandwich Islands after Britian's Earl of Sandwich.
(or because he is hungrey out of travling for so long without some food.)
1779
Captain Cook is killed in a Big Island dispute at Kealakekua Bay, near Kona.
1789
The first Chinese arrive after jumping off a trading ship.
1810
King Kamehameha the Great unites all the Hawaiian islands into one
kingdom.
1813
The first pineapple plants are introduced from Spain.
1816
First Hawaiian flag is sewn.
1817
Coffee is first planted.
1819
King Kamehameha the Great dies. Prince Liholiho ascends the throne as Kamehameha II (1819-1824). He also abandons the ancient taboo of eating with women.
1820
First American Protestant missonaries arrive aboard the brig Thaddeus from New England.
1825 - 1854
The reign of King Kamehameha III.
1840
The first Hawaii constitution of the kingdom was established.
1848
The Great Mahele is signed by King Kamehameha III which allows commoners and haoles to own land outright or in "fee simple," a concept that continues today.
1850
On August 31, King Kamehameha III declares Honolulu a city.
1874 - 1891
The reign of King David Kalakaua.
1882
America's only royal residence, Iolani Palace is built on Oahu.
1883
Mutual Telephone Company was started in Hawaii. The name was later changed to Hawaiian Telephone and then changed again to GTE Hawaiian Tel.
1885
The first contract laborers from Japan arrive to work on the sugar cane plantations.
1892
Macadamia nut trees are first planted.
1893
Queen Liliuokalani surrenders the kingdom to the United States under protest.
1895
Queen Liliuokalani abdicates her throne.
1898
Hawaii is annexed to the United States.
1900
Hawaii becomes a United States territory. The Great Chinatown fire leaves 7000 people homeless in Honolulu.
1922
Prince Jonah Kalanianaole Kuhio dies. He was the last powerful member of the royal Hawaiian family.
1927
First non-stop air flight from the mainland to Honolulu.
1934
President Franklin Deleno Roosevelt arrives July 26 on the cruiser Houston. He is the first United States president to visit Hawaii.
1935
Pan American Airways "China Clipper" inaugurates air mail service to Hawaii and the Pacific.
1941
December 7th, Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor. The U.S. enters World War II. Martial law is imposed in Hawaii until October 24, 1944.
1946
A killer "tsunami" (tidal wave) hits Hilo on the island of Hawaii.
1948
A record 41,964 persons visit Hawaii. Miss Yun Tau Zane wins the first Miss Hawaii crown.
1952
Hawaii's first television station begins broadcasting.
1953
Waikiki Beach sees its first bikinis.
1959
Hawaii becomes the 50th state. Ala Moana Shopping Center is built. The first jet arrives. The age of tourism begins.
1966
Hawaii receives its first live television program from the mainland, Notre Dame vs. Michigan State in football.
1969
Jack ("Book 'em Danno") Lord begins "Hawaii Five-O" television series.
1974 - 1987
The first Asian-American governor (George Ariyoshi) is elected.
1976
"Hokule'a" a Hawaiian double-hulled canoe, reenacts Polynesian discovery voyage of Hawaii.
1980
Tom Selleck begins "Magnum P.I." television series.
1983
Kilauea volcano erupts on the Big Island. It is still erupting today.
1986
The Concorde jet lands in Honolulu.
1987
John Waihee, the first governor of Hawaiian descent is elected.
1989
The Moana Hotel, built in 1901, reopens fully restored as a National Historical landmark.
1991
Miss Hawaii, Carolyn Sapp, becomes the state's first Miss America.
1992
Hurricane Iniki ravages the island of Kauai and the western shores of the island of Oahu.
1994
Ben Cayetano becomes the first governor of Philippine descent ever elected in the United States.
1995
The last sugar plantation on the Big Island (the island of Hawaii) closes.
