[First of all, I realize I haven't been here in the longest and everyone has probably forgotten me.]
I've dedicated myself on a new out look. I've stopped wearing my plain clothes and started wearing makeup. My motto is "I've always been sexy, just now I am on the outside too" I really think its improbed my emotional well-being
Discuss:
Am I vain? Do you think a completely new wardrobe was neccasary to help me feel better? What makes you feel better about yourself?

A little vanity and ego is good for you. There's absolutely nothing wrong with pride, as long as you don't let it turn into narcissism.
As for the clothes? Probably. Improving your visual appearance by doing small things such as wearing new clothes, or getting a new hairstyle can greatly improve self esteem. Because once you think you look good, you'll feel good, and when you feel good, you'll appear to look even better.
As for what makes me feel better? Newer, tighter clothes. And my glasses oddly enough, they're my security blanket to hide the tired look of my eyes.

I actually stopped wearing makeup myself for a long time because it ruined my skin, now I've started back... but I still go days without it. But it took me a long time to realize I was sexy with or without makeup... I prefer myself with makeup, though.
But just taking better care of yourself is a good idea... taking pride in your appearance and taking care of your appearance makes you much more attractive.
If you can afford it, go for new clothes, sure. I don't think new clothes will necessarly make all the difference... I mean I love getting new clothes, I love it, but I still wear T-shirts from middle school... but it doesn't hurt either when you're feeling either really hot and wanting to play it up, or feeling really gross and wanting to put on your best outfit to make yourself feel better.
In short:
I don't think you're vain, thinking you're sexy. It's when the whole world revovles around you that you become vain...having confidence is something we look for in a possible partner.
I don't think a new wardrobe is necessary, but it might be nice.
Oogling my boobies makes me feel better about myself. Lately I keep noticing how big they really are.... I mean, they're really big... wow. Wearing cute/pretty underwear, doin' my hair and makeup, talking to all the guys that think I'm hot... some other stuff, but I can't remember it right now 'cause I'm kinda ADD sweatdrop

Oh but the world does revolve around me. I'm a leo. ^__~
Seriously. Someone I absolutely hated incited my revolution as it were. She commented to a friend of mine on how she did know how "people could let themselves go like that" I know its a bad way to start a revolution but I feel my self esteem improving. I actually look forward to things now. Though I'm getting a little tired lately from getting up early to straighten my hair. But eh.

Are you kidding? I love makeup. It takes the already beautiful features on a woman and puts them on center stage.
Unless I'm really not feeling well or something, I put makeup on whenever I go out.
It's become a part of who I am. ^^

Holy crap, I can't believe someone said that about you! Nyargh! scream If you were able to respond to that with such a positive thing, more power to you, I say.
And yes, I do think its a positive thing, what you're doing, and I don't think you're being vain. Feeling sexy is not narcissism. I don't think that you should feel like you NEED make-up specifically to feel this good about yourself, but if it helps, I say go for it. I'm sure you have a beautiful body no matter what shape or size you are, and I know that showing it off can be really empowering.
On the same note, I actually feel more attractive when I wear tighter clothes, at least on my top half. I hate my boobs most of the time (unlike the Dread Pirate Ghosty, who cracks me up), but oddly enough I also find that showing cleavage makes me feel more attractive. Its not that I'm actively seeking out attention to that area of my body, and I don't like it when people oogle too much (regardless of gender or sex), but for me it helps sweatdrop I also have favorite types of clothes I wear, and I love jewelry, so I always feel I look my best when I've got a good combination of all those things going on. Good hair helps too. And I used to think that I looked horrible in glasses, so I wore contacts in order to feel attractive, but that's changed recently and I don't mind my glasses anymore.
