The chalkboard read 'lashing tail', 'dropping from heights', and 'likes heat'.

The head of a young preteen popped its way in, wide black eyes taking in the scene uncertainly. It wasn't until he got a nudge from behind that he entered, and he plodded inside with an obvious nervousness and uncertainty. He examined the board, scuffing at the ground with his toes and biting at his lower lip. Seconds later, his worser half entered.

The young dragon sauntered in, eyes slitted suspiciously, and as soon as he came to a halt he lifted himself to full height in an assertive manner, as if daring something to come at him. He snorted loudly as he found no other dragons, and settled down a good distance away from the child he was stuck with, eyeing him with disdain. Kei opened his muzzle in a wide, lazy yawn. Why was he here? There was nothing interesting to do. He glanced about idly, searching out mischief.

The last of the trio finally entered, glancing about in an idle manner, whistling softly. He wanted to check out this class and everything before he just let some guy run amuch with his kid. Especially after the past months they had gone through. Then, he would certainly be ready to give them some space. "Hello?" He took the initiative, seeing as his child was timidly staring at the floor. "Is this the wyvern class?" Axel yawned and thumbed his nose.

Peri didn't hear Nero entering until the dragon followed along behind. He looked up from his notes, smiling at the boy and dragon. The man was about to greet the two when he spotted another man entering the room. The boy's father...? Odd, hardly any of the parents ever came with their kids to this class. In fact, the only other one to have come was that sexy looking mother of the shark boy. And... that had led to some problems with the boss...

"Hello, yes it is. I'm Mr. Coleman." Peri stepped down from the raised platform to walk over to the other man, glancing at the shy boy and the rather troublesome looking dragon.

Axel ran a hand through his hair, regarding the man thoughtfully before flashing him one of the charming courtesy smiles he gave to strangers in order to make them feel more at ease. "Ah, nice to meet you. I just wanted to make sure they got here alright. We've been having a sort of rough time.." He informed Peri casually, glancing towards the boy beside him. Nero had turned his attention to the man, and managed a meek smile.

"H-hello.." He managed to sputter out, lowering his head respectfully, "I-I'm N-Nero." He was taught to always be respectful to his elders, yet it was rare for him to encounter one he didn't know, and thus he was unaware of how to respond. His head suddenly jerked up, "O-oh! A-and that's K-Kei.. N-Nice to meet y-you, M-Mr. Coleman." His smile returned, this time with a little bit more certainty.

His caretaker looked to him for a moment, and then nodded, "Well, I'm sure you've got it from here... I'll just head out, I guess. I've got some business to attend to around here, anyways.. I'll be back in a bit, kid, so behave alright?" The lad nodded. The older of the two gave a wave of his hand, heading towards the door, "See ya, then."

Nero swallowed heavily as the door closed. His guardian was gone. Now he was alone with this stranger.. But he seemed nice enough. He looked up at him, being the shrimpy preteen he was, "U-um... Y-you're gonna t-teach me ab-about K-Kei, right?"

Perilas blinked at the man, then glanced over at the boy. The boy had a stuttering problem, it seemed. Poor kid. The man merely noted the departure of the father, keeping his attention on his student. Smiling, Peri nodded. "Yes, I'm going to teach you about wyverns, which is what Kei is."

"To start off, do you have any questions?" Maybe the boy would settle down a bit...

Nero relaxed a bit when the man began interacting with him, the smile itself seeming to settle his nerves a lot. He looked thoughtfully at Kei, who was glancing about with a sort of bored look. He felt a bit of nervousness jolt back- that dragon was going to get him into trouble... AGAIN. He turned back to Peri quietly, chewing at his lower lip, "U-um..."

Another moment of thought was all it took, "N-no, not r-really.."

The man smiled. "Okay, then. We'll just look at what I've got up on the board." He turned to look at the board. "Lashing tail; Wyverns use the poisonous tip of their tail when they attack. It's one of their preferred weapons. They also love to drop down from above on their enemies, either by swooping down from the air or jumping from higher land. Wyverns are desert creatures and love the heat." The man glanced at the boy. "Which I'm sure you can relate to rather well..."

"'K-kay." The lad chirped, pleased to see the older male wasn't upset at him for not having any questiond. He turned to look obediantly at the board, blinking first one set of eyes and then the other. He almost sighed when he heard that information. Yes, that all made a good deal of sense to him. His naughty dragon was always jumping down on people and lashing his tail... Ugh. He paused. Oh yes, they were, weren't they? He remembered that vaguely from when he was shown the egg for the first time. "O-oh, yeah.." He gave a slight smile, "Y-yeah." He was a desert animal, wasn't he? Ha. He had almost forgotten.

Kei found the human-lingo conversation to be extraordinarily boring, and took this time to eye a nearby cushion with a gleam in his eye. Only moments later he had jumped, swooped, and pounced, and was very happily kneading at it with his footclaws and fangs. Many other dragons accused him of being juvenile, that he was "too old" to still be playing games like this... But he couldn't help it. He did so enjoy the dischord he caused amongst the other creatures by his misbehavior. After a split moment he had lifted his head, eyeing the two others with a halfhearted curiousity, claws still sunk into the pillow. Hmm..

Nero started when he noticed his dragon's sudden movements, "H-hey! K-Kei! N-no...!" The dragon seemed to pay him no heed, and even gave a pleased flick of his tail, as if he did not notice the boy or his reprimanding at all. Perhaps he would have responded, but he still refused to "lower himself" to the level of speaking that infernal language.

Peri watched the boy as Nero slowly grinned. At least the boy was starting to warm up a bit, it seemed. Then the boy was shouting at his dragon and the man turned to find the wyvern happily clawing at one of the cushions. Well, that was one downside to having the cushions. The upside had been that there wasn't anything heavier than them in the room for when kids decided to start a fight...

"Ah, don't worry about it. One of the hazards of working this job..." Perilas tried to reassure the boy some.

(Phew. Sorry for the wait there. Work and classes are a b***h.)

As the boy settled at Peri's words, Kei's eyes narrowed. He was rather displeased with his lack of response, however he did nothing of it for the moment, he simply released a soft irritable murring noise before lowering himself down and watching the two in a thoughtful sort of way. So he'd have to try harder, hmmm? This creature was not so easy to upset. Disapointing.

Nero was back to focusing on Peri, smiling a bit, "I-it's alright... Th-then.. O-okay..." And then a question popped into his mind. "D-do m-many wyverns h-have..." How had his father put it? "A b-bad attitude?"

The glowering and plotting creature lazily tearing apart the cushion sure as hell did, as would increasingly become obvious.

Peri chuckled at Nero's question. "A bad attitude..? Well, wyverns are known to be more 'evil' than some of the other dragons. Though it doesn't necessarily mean it's true for all wyverns, most do seem to be quick to anger."

The man glanced over at Kei again. Yup, this was one of the more typical wyvern attitudes right there. Well, any of the 'evil' dragons' attitudes, really. Sometimes he wondered at some of the choices D-corp made. Like this really shy kid stuck with a wyvern.

"O-oh... O-okay..." The boy seemed to ponder on the older man's words for a moment, gazing uncertainly upon his dragon companion as he did so.

Kei seemed rather displeased at their glances, as well as the fact they were behaving so neutrally. He let his sharp eyes fixate on Nero's, narrowing further into slits, a low throaty snarl released. He offered the warning then to the older man, before turning and abruptly tearing the cushion into to, refusing to face them again. If they weren't going to entertain him, they should mind their own business.

Nero flinched first at the snarl, and then even moreso at the sound of the cushion tearing. He shot another nervous glance towards Peri, checking for his reaction. He was certainly used to Kei acting up himself, and usually Axel would send the scaly creature back to his special room if he misbehaved... However, Peri was a new adult. A new response may come of it, and it made the boy somewhat... Worried.

Peri opted to ignore Kei. If the wyvern found that Peri wasn't scared of him, then hopefully Kei'd just give up. At least, that was what Peri was hoping for. He glanced at Nero, noticing that the boy was upset by his dragon's attitude. Poor kid... Maybe he could somewhat distract the boy..?

"Did you have any other questions?"

"U-um..." A flicker of curiousity sparked in all four of the lad's eyes, "H-how big... H-how big w-will Kei g-get.. I mean, wh-what's a r-rough es-estimate?" He clasped his claws together behind his back, tilting his head slightly to one side.

Meanwhile, his dragon began to plot up something behind him. Kei, settle down? Never. And if he couldn't get dismay out indirectly, he'd do so using brute force. He felt a constant need to establish his position of utter dominance while amongst others. Perhaps this is why he often was kept home, away from said others. He already had virtually no interest in his own family, and thus they were in a sense safe from him going to such measures.

He especially had, and it was quite obvious, no respect nor interest when it came to Nero.

Peri thought for a moment, the exact numbers eluding him. "Well, wyverns get rather large. They prey upon elephants in the wild, so they're big enough to pick up an adult elephant and fly away." That was probably a better answer than a number anyways. The kids would be able to relate more to something like that than a large number which wouldn't mean as much to them.
