Trotting, glittering hooves and a flicking, gold unicorn tail moved in sync as a sunlit stallion ambled along the seaside. Taiyaung really loved the feeling of the warm, comforting sand under his hooves, it's warth gave him an indescribable sense of ease. He continued trotting along the shoreline, watching the sun rise in the far horizon. As his name suggests, Taiyaung rises and sets with the sun; it simply was a habit that he had developed when he was little. Tai smiled as the sun's gentle rays tickled his body with radiating warmth. Each day was getting slightly warmer, and in a few moons, it would be spring. He was looking forward to the kinder, gentler weather of spring; winter didn't suit Taiyaung at all.

Young Blaise, a grown mare through the winter now stared nervously at the water. She has never seen so much water in her whole life. The ground below her shifted like the sands of the desert yet here was more water than anywhere she'd ever been. The alicorn whinnied, shuffling backwards as the waves lapped up.
How different the world was........it was slightly scary and exciting at the same time.

Hearing a mare's whinney, Tai looked up expectantly. Sure enough, there was a gold-tinted, white alicorn mare standing at the water's edge. He trotted foward quietly, with a soft, "Hello. Beautiful morning, isn't it?"

The mare was a soft, white, with strange yellow markings on her legs. Her hooves and her horn was the same glittering gold, a shade lighter that Taiyaung's. Her curly mane was yellow, as were half of the mare's wing feathers, and the tip of her unicorn tail. She looked...almost like the Taiyaung's opposite double.

She was startled out of her nervousness and her head swirveled around to see a large solid stallion coming towards her. He was sun marked, like her, and she blinked in surprise, and he even has that swirling golden horn on his rather handsome face. Blaise blushed slightly, more out of embarassment that she was caught staring at the ocean. The mare smiled, "Yes...yes, a very beautiful morning," she said softly, fluttering her wings around her.

An image of Dancia, Tai's step-niece, floated into the golden stallion's mind. He mentally frowned, this mare's posture complete posture was similar to that of a foal's! Tai smiled, realizing that she had most likely grown recently. "May I ask your name, m'lady? Taiyaung, at your service."

Tai himself turned to look out at the ocean. The gently rippling water again reminded himself of Dani. Like the ocean, she was bouncy, hyper, and fun, but in a matter of seconds, she was a storm of raging fury. He surpressed a grin, it was rather ironic. Unless you witnessed one of Dani's mood swings, it was very hard to believe she could to any harm at all.

"Blaise" she replied, wondering what the stallion was pondering upon. He seemed to be thinking of something else, although his smile was charming and warm.
The young mare calmly walked nearer, the sea breeze easily carrying his scent to hers and hers to him. Taiyaung didn't seem dangerous, he had a musty sandy scent mixed with something indescribable. Taiyaung....the name was strange to her tongue, and she tried it out, wrinkling her nose, "Tai....yaung.....pleased to meet you...."

"Miss Blaise, Tai will do. It is my pleasure." Taiyaung offered, fully aware that his full name was a handful. He didn't know his name's origin, but Tai was pretty sure that it wasn't a Cherokee name. A simple scent of beach coconuts floated into Taiyaung's concious. He looked curiously at Blaise. It was indeed coming from her. The gentle, curious scent of coconuts matched her perfectly.

(( she smell like coconuts? xD))

She smiled then, this time one of her gentle innocent ones which radiated warmth. Blaise was just a filly in a mare's body, her mind untouched by the experiences of the world. Though she is learning everyday. She has yet to meet a soquili which may mean to harm her, so she instantly considered the stallion before her a friend, eventhough they've just met. "The sea is beautiful isn't it? It seems alive.....I have not seen anything like it. The waves tug at my hooves as if they want to play," she giggled, her curly mane flowing around her in the wind.

(( Sorry for the major delay. @.@ I've been so busy.....and yes, coconuts. xD ))

Innocence was the only word to describe Blaise. Again reminded of his step-niece, Tai was even more positive that the mare was fairly young. With a light tone, Tai smiled, "I have never seen the sea in that manner, m'lady, although I do see your point. The sea is like a little foal, always welcoming and innocent, although prone to tantrums. Yet, she loves everyone and welcomes anyone with loving arms."

(( no worries, i moved back into college and been stuff everywhere.. bday!))

Nodding, Blaise turned to look inquisitively at Taiyaung. He seemed very different from those she has met, even stallions who tend to be playful.
"I wonder what is on the other side.....if it is safe to fly.....will we find anything there? Or is it just more and more water? I do not think there is just the soquili lands here which has living life......" she finally ventured, musing dreamily. Carefully, she paced along the edge, feeling the water lazily swirl around her hooves.

Pale yellow eyes looked across the horizon, watching the sun's rays dance across the rippling water. Tai nodded, "I agree, the world is too big a place to only have the Soquili lands." Pausing, he added as an afterthought, "Besides, I wasn't born here, but across the desert..." Tai pawed the soft, warm sand lightly. He couldn't let himself think about his past. If he did, nightmares and flashbacks would plague him for weeks. He sighed, then looked at Blaise, a smile on his lips. "Where did m'lady come from?"

"The dessert?" she said...thinking of apple pies. Thus Blaise did not see the rather sad look that has crossed Tai's complexion. Instead she thought about apples before finally remembering his question, "Oh...I don't know, I remember a basket and then meeting many soquilis and mama frosta and then I wandered around..."
She still didn't know who her real parents were but now it didn't faze her anymore, she was content with her life.

Tai nodded, although absent mindedly. Blaise would probably like Dancia, he mused. At the thought of Dancia, he realized that he should probably be getting back. Bowing to Blaise, he said, "Excuse me, m'day, but I must leave now. Farwell, it was a pleasure meeting you." With that, Tai started trotting in the opposite direction, before errupting into a gallop of streaking sunlight.

(( Sorry to cut it short...I just don't know what else to do. ))

( eh? )

She watched him leave, surprised and wondering if she had annoyed the bright stallion in any way. How curious, she thought......he seemed rather pleasant though strange. Will she ever meet him again....
