The black male had returned. It was odd to be in the desert once more, it had been a long time, a very long time.
He was in his prime years, not too far into his adulthood and to him he was everything a female would want and that would have been one reason he returned home.
He had heard whisperings of the Prides downfall, slaves seemed to never be around and the lions kept to themselves and didn't do anymore raids. It was wrong and so he had returned in hope of finding a girl willing to build up a generation properly, though that would take time and he wasn't about to go and ask the first female he met to mate with him, he did have some pride.
The first thing that the male needed to do though was get himself reinstated into the pride in some way or another, he didn't wish to be placed as a hunter, he was better then that. Maybe the first thing he really needed was a friend, someone that he can talk to and get to know, that would be the best idea.

It wasn't the best of days - and also, wasn't the worse of days for the dark wine red female as she scored the hot territory with her odd hued eyes - taking inall of the sights and sounds. It hadn't been long since she had grown into her adult body, and in her prime, she was rather content with it. It looked and felt right to her - atleast.
Pride always begotten her - so, shaking her head, she returned her gaze on the field - the sun making her eyes hurt just a little. She never liked this hunting thing very much - being such a dark pelted creature made her hotter than her much brighter siblings.
Upon scoring the ground, she caught sight of another form on the prowl that day - but it did not look anything like her pridemates.. maybe it was a stranger coming to hail bad news. giving a bit of a grumble, she turned to his direction, and prowled out more, curiousity begetting her.
"Hail out there, who fares?"

Vuvimoto was black so it didn't surprise him when he was stopped by, surprise surprise, a female.
He bowed his head politely, his red mane covering his face. "I am Vuvimoto, a lost member of this pride I suppose you could say. I heard of the Firekins downfall is coming, I returned to see if I could help stop it in any way." He watched her carefully, she was obviously of the blood, her red pelt showed it perfectly.
"May I ask what your name is?" He might as well ask, she didn't need to tell him if she wished not to but there was no harm in asking.

[Got a picture of him, btw? :> PS: Edited cause I'm an idiot and can't read :>.]
Ah, one of the blood, he was. Considering it a mixed blessing for the time being, she turned muzzle to the left, as if staring off into the setting region of the sun's path, listening to his query about the pride, before rolling her shoulders softly.
"It is something I have heard a few times on the wind - yes. I would have more information for you; but I have not found a vein of concrete information. Forgive me." She answered truthfully, turning to gaze at him as the words flew out. It had caught the loner as she made her way through the thick of the pride at times, but; being one who kept to the outskirts of the territory by herself, she was as clueless as the next.
"But, my calling is Sundya; this I know." She introduced herself, giving a bow of her head to the male. "A pleasure to meet another, Vuvumoto -Not the greatest day for a meeting though - it's fairly warm today." she noted, feeling the weight of the heavy sun this day.

((He on long-term bribe but.. ref image - [X]))
He listened carefully and smiled at her name, "You have a beautiful name it doesn't sound as harsh as some. You are very lucky to have such a name." He had found that while being away from the lands the harsh sound of his own name meant others seemed to be weary of him, that and not everyone has a snake marking that was bright red either.
"The sun can make a great enemy for those with dark pelts. Do you know of anywhere with shade?" He was black and knew how the sun could pound at his pelt making him far too hot.
Somewhere shaded would also make a great place to ask with Sundya some questions, she seemed to know some things about the pride, whether it was much didn't matter he just needed to know the basics, such as who the king was and the pride numbers, beliefs and anything else she could. He wished to find out how much had changed.

[Oh prettyful biggrin !]
Flattening her ears softly, a grin cracked her usually stoic maw, her gaze still heavy on the male, even though her dark pelt sweltered under the heat. The flattering comment never passed by the female, and, with a flicker of her tail, she decided to pay him some heed for it. Why not - he was the first lion to find her little space on the outskirts in a while, and she figured it couldn't hurt to atleast humour him. Where was the fun in just letting a strange visitor leave without even a bit of fun. Stretching her smile, she nodded with a soft "Well thank you, I haven't seen my parents since childhood, but if I had - I would thank them for such a name. It means sunset, or so I've been told, for being the darkest pelt of my family. Living twin of my uncle, or something; I would not know, I have yet to meet him. My siblings, I know, briefly." she made conversation about, before turning her maw towards where she called home, just an old den; possibly once previously used by a family of wild dogs.. a very.. large family of wild dogs, she nodded and turned to his direction.
"We can rest near my den, it's usually much more cooler due to all the shades that the den throws. It isn't too far off, so if you feel like being a guest, you can follow me." she offered, as she turned tail and started walking across the desert once more, her paws finding their way back home once more, her tail flickering around, as if attempting to attack the heat.
Part of her wished he'd follow so that she could have some company for the day, part of her didn't - for firekin lands were both her home, and at the same time, were not, so the information she knew may be a bit.. aged.

He smiled. A sunset, yes he could see her matching that of a beautiful sunset. He had to stop thinking like this, he might like girls alot but he had to play it right here or things could go horribly wrong.
Invite to her den? Stupid boy he had to stop his way of thinking, he was back in the desert, girls weren't so stupid here or at least he hoped not. "I would love to be your guest." He was honest as there was no point in lieing to her.
Unfortunatly he would not be able to stay with her long after all he needed to find the king and be accepted back into the pride and meet other members to see how the pride works now. Finar-si would always be the one who he worshipped, unless something or someone better came along.

A very terse smile graced the maw of the outskirt dweller as she heard the large footfalls suddenly sounded behind her; she needed not look behind her to see the lion had followed her - knowing all too well it would be in his best interest to find the shade before the midday sun rose over their heads - the shadowless time when it could bake a lion in moments.
Upon reaching her little haven in the desert, she turned around finally to regard him, he outsized her greatly; but she had been taught in the ways of hunting, so she considered herself atleast safe for now. Turning away from her den, she walked towards the small resting area that she had founded as a cub; which brought her to live in this area from there on end. "It's a bit of a smaller area; but I never truely expected much company." She murred to him as she sat down.
"I understand that if you wish to help the main pride; you will want to know some information?" she finally came out with, seeing the curiousity etched in his features.

He followed and nodded at the statement of the area being too small. It didn't really bother him as it was at least somewhere to rest which was all in all better then being in the hot sun.
Walking behind the female had given him a chance to 'check her out' more to see whether she was a strong one then anything else but of course he could not deny his minds pleasures and that led him to think of her beauty and other areas that could be of use. He was still aiming to find those worthy of being a mother, if the rumours were true.
"Yes I would like some information though from what I have heard I doubt there is much that I can do to help but we shall see." He smiled at her and shook his red mane. It was something of an annoyance in the desert, it became full of sand and dust!((Look who arrived: [X] ))

Ah, home, it was always good to return to this little niche of land that she had finally called her own after growing up indifferent about the mainland of the pride. Feeling the ground beat under her paws from the larger male, she appreciated the fact that he had followed her all the way to her resting area, and lightened her smile ever so slowly, before regarding him as he passed her.
Atleast he was easy on the eyes, she mused internally, there were many a lion in this area, and she blessed her stars that the only one to find her in a few weeks was one who wasn't too bad looking. And of the blood; a bonus indeed. Finally snapping back to her reality, she finally opened her maw, to disperse what she knew.
"Before I start, I must remind you; I've only heard this in passing, it's been a fair while since I stayed in the mainlands for a fair while. First thing is first, the kind that holds the land at this time; his name is Kimeti. And if I remember correctly, he has been blessed with cubs; Kidondo, Kaanga, Ki'somm Inihki, Kope, Kiunguza and finally Koka." She explained to him, stumbling over some of the words - where they infactuated with the letter K? Peering at him, she waited for any further questions.

He nodded. He knew the name Kimeti but his family had very much kept to themselves when the pride was at it's best so he hadn't a clue who the lion was.
"Do you know what this Kimeti and his family are like?" He was trying to work some things out in his head. The pride was so small and they had females living away from the main bulk of the pride. There was something that definitely needed changing around here.

Flickering her ear at the answer, her eyes rolled to the side, with a small 'hmm', her tail thumping the ground softly before she had opened that cache; so deep in her mind. It had been a fair while since she glimpsed what she could, and from when she had learn as a cub.
"It has been awhile since my eyes graced the royalty, but what I do remember, they seemed like a very royal family; with the traditions of the firekins; slaves were good, and tarnishing ranks were bad. Like all kings have been in the past." she answered. "Physically, he was a large king, I believe he held some black in his very red pelt, a.. brown too - like dark sand; the children I remember had white and black muddled in." She threw in, nodding as if agreeing with herself.

Vuvi listened carefully at a rather detailed answer, he wasn't expecting all that much as an answer but it was well said and gave him a good idea of what the pride was like.
"The king follows the Prides old ways? Well that at least is something." He repeated what she said over a couple of times in his mind so not to forget before he opened his mouth again to speak.
"You have a good memory on you." It was a compliment, something he gave rarely and only when it was needed, which he felt was now. He didn't know what else to say, he had heard all he needed to and he felt somewhat that he was in her way but then she had said something about company had she not? Maybe he had imagined it.
"Do you get lonley out here on your own? Do you not miss your family?" He was curious. He missed his family, his two sisters and his brother. He had loved to play with them and just generally mess about with them.

Sundya nodded contently when she had finished, seeing that he had kept up with her incessive rambling from the deep crevices of her memory - it also made her swell up with a bit of pride, which she had tons of. But upon hearing the compliment, she gave a little chuckle and looked away, before murmuring. "Thank you very much; I've always been the kind to remember things and keep doing so. I figure it was a good pass time atleast." For, even out here, a lioness needed something to do to make use of the day.
"Only every so often I miss my family though, when I hear about them in passing or mull over my childhood, can't help but think about them. Can't say I'm very much lonesome; somedays I could say otherwise, go crazy about how quiet it is." she rambled again, looking to him. "But, then I think about how active a pride is, and it makes me a bit anxious. I've never been a big crowd lioness; it doesn't suit my quiet nature. But at the same time, I could never be a true rogue, I live for my bloodline, and love knowing I could just.. waltz in to visit my kin." It also never suited her comfort in knowing that she was a well bred lioness, and the fact that she liked being herself, and by herself, with no rules. But she only told those to the wind. "I suppose I'm not ready to try being a large pride lioness. I'm not sure." she finished, with a shrug.

He listened to what she said and listened. From what she said if he had met her off the desert he would have questioned whether it was true that she was of the blood.
"I didn't expect that as an answer but then that may just be that I came from a close family and like to have company. Don't get me wrong I like being alone sometimes to have me time but I am a social boy I guess." He mused on what it was that he said for a while and then laughed.
"Sorry I just realised how odd that sounded. The Firekins known as the most dependant lions and here I am saying about how I don't like to be alone." He smiled a little being a rogue had obviously changed him more then he realised.
