in the new issue of "revolver" magazine there's an article on HIM and they talk a bit about the new album. it's only a page long though but it still has some info people might like to know about.

I can honestly understand that they may have been burnt out by touring Dark Light... but I'm still extremly bitter about them cancelling their tour this past fall. You don't cancel the month of. I had my ticket, my maps and I had been counting down for about 2 months and BAM, they post they weren't coming. I still can't wait for this new album, I wish they would have said a little bit more about it though.

yays for info, i can understand ville being tired of hearing himslef singing wings of a butterfly and whatnot, good for HIM they deserved a rest.
the interpretation that i got from the article is that their music is gonna be more heavy-metalish. i'd hate to get my hopes up, so please tell me i'm wrong if i am?

It's not gonna be blast beats and growling, at least that was the impression I got from an article in Kerrang! (I'd post scans, but I don't have a scanner).
It's more of a very heavy pop album, Valo said he's been listening to a lot of Cathedral and Sabbath.
I dunno how that's going to work, but I'm really looking forward to hearing it.

I'm pretty sure that it's still going to be a good album whether it leans more twords a heavy metal or more twords a pop type of sound. I can't wait for it either way.

I can't wait for it either way. i wonder if they're either trying to convince the people who think HIM are wussies cuz they aren't heavy that HIM is still a good band by making a heavier album or they are just experimenting.

i would do that too if i were Ville.....that would be annoying to be playing those songs for that long like a broken record...........i wish i could join a band....if u hear the music i made "check this out" topic i made i the off topic forum u might agree........my best friend does...he plays that song i made over and over again....it gets annoying

Wow, the new album sounds pretty good to me and i can't wait unitl its out in stores!!! If this album goes into the heavy metal side of things it'd be great, i love my Heavy Metal!! what i got from the article is that the music is going to be heavy but i don't think the vocals will be... i guess i'll just have to wait for the album to find out. As soon as i know the release date i'll be counting down, Whoop!!!!
