Kieran squinted his eyes at the light slightly, but it didn't take too much for him to adjust and he flicked back the hood of his cloak and breathed in the familiar surface Andalian air, giving a pat to Nerian's neck as he nickered his own pleasure. "Good to be home indeed, my friend."

The little group would be standing over the middle of waters of andal, horses' hooves just above the surface. "Remember, keep them closed Arthur." A tug to the lead rope inn his hand to get them going. It wouldn't be too long a journey up to Lucana the good old fashioned way. "You can try to open them up in about ten minutes or so...get used to the light change you're already experiencing with your eyes closed. In case you're wondering...it's midday and a beautiful summer day at that. Keep your mouth and nose covered." He expected Caelin any minute.

Isle smiled at the feeling of Andalian zephyr made winds on her face oh yes Kieran was right, so good to be on the way home. Though she was sure her father wouldn't appreciate the apparent condition she was coming home in. But hey, that was going to get her some sympathy. "Dear Andal, place where I belong."

Lharika was excited to be back home and she clapped happily. "It is such a pretty day." She wanted to throw her face up to catch the rays of the sun but she knew better since her eyes had adjusted to the darkness of the Underdark. "Daddy Kieran...tell me when it's okay."

Caelin swooped high above in a graceful arc and let out a call that echoed on the wind before he dove down and settled easily on Kieran's shoulder. Making an inqusitive noise he nibbled lightly on Kieran's ear.

Well right when Arthur appeared in Andal he easily noticed the difference right off the bat, first off closing his eyes didn't make a difference what so ever there was still bright light shinning though his closed lids and it was bugging him a great deal; he never experienced such bright light before. Second the smell of the air was differnt and he had a hard time breathing, his hand went up to his chest and laid down on it; everyone said coming up here was going to be a strain on him and he had to agree. "Of course...Kieran I will." He said to the elf as he sat on Brahnel with a light sigh, it was goin to take a lot to get use to, these next few days were going to be a lot of fun for the young elf.

"You can put down your hood now Lharika, you too Isleandra." But his attention turned skyward to the familiar sound and he chuckled as the falcon landed on his shoulder and chewed at his ears. "Caelin, Lateef sent you out already I see, no worries, we'll be home in no time." Thus putting the trot on.

They would continue for a good twenty minutes more before the air shifted slightly in the change of elevation and the lightness the air took. They were on a mountian trail now, steadily heading along it. "You can open your eyes now Arthur." And then another twenty minutes and they would pass through what seemed to be mountain wall and into a rather busy moon elven city. "Onto the palace then."

Isle merely nodded against Kieran. "I'm sure daddy will be waiting with baited breath for our return."

Her hood was down in two seconds. "I love the sun and I love Andal Daddy Kieran! But don't tell Malikhai because he wants me to love the Underdark the most." She threw her arms up happily and giggled then petted at Caelin as he nibbled her nose. Good thing her draithix was asleep. There was a rather love/hate relationship there....

Caelin chose to ride on Kieran's shoulder for the first twenty minutes of the journey. Once they reached the beginning of the mountains, the falcon released his hold on Kieran's surcoat, nibbled lightly on Lharika's nose and nuzzled Isle, then took off with a shriek, heading high up into the clouds on an arc to the palace.

Lateef stood on a top balcony with Caelin on his shoulder, petting the falcon idly as he glanced down awaiting his liege. Caelin had informed him of their location and he turned back to the Brigade Master and crossed his arms. "Lord Silvercrest will be returning shortly."

"I am very glad to hear of that Lateef. There are a few things we need to discuss. Drow relations are getting rather strained. What's our illustrious leader up to these days?"

He shifted slightly in his seat and coughed. "Well, he took a few days to go visit his daughter. You know family relations and what not."

His fingers curved, "He does have that freedom. I have to confess that no one thought she'd survive very long with that drow of hers, True Bonded or not."

Lateef stiffened slightly. "Piper Silverfeather has always had the same intellect as her parents and she can make her own decisions. Her personal preferences as well as her own life choices are none of the Brigades concern."

Realizing he'd caused insult he held up his hand to calm Lateef. "You are correct of course. But it is our concern when she begins to bring that drow of hers and a child of his here. He gave us enough trouble and I don't think I have to remind you what we were forced to do with Kieran."

"No, indeed you do not." Lateef walked back to the window and sent Caelin back out then glanced down into the city and could see the visual effects of a King returning. "They are here. Shall we go down and meet them?"

He chuckled, "I think I'd much rather like to surprise good Kieran with my presence. But you can go."

Lateef nodded. "I'll bring him up to you as soon as he settles in and is ready for company." Thus down to the main gates with him where he stood waiting for the group. "You thought you could sneak away for a few days hmm? I am wise to your tricks Kieran Silvercrest." Lateef's lips curved in a smile. "Welcome back my liege." Thus kneeling slightly and fisting his right hand and setting it across his chest. "I see you brought company..."

Well for Arthur the first ten minutes since his arival here on Andal was a hard one, he has been coughing for a little bit from time to time and his eye felt like someone was shinning a very bright light into it. But after ten more minutes have passed the elf noticed how the air seemed a little more lighter and easy on his lungs, his coughs have turned down to one every few minutes or so but he was still having a small hard time breathing; though when Kieran told him he was allowed to open his eyes the elf took his sweet time, opening it a little to allow the light to pour in then closing it quickly until he was able to open his eye the whole way. "Well now that's better..." He said with a small chuckle as he patted Brahnel's side lightly, at least his steed was holding up just fine.

So after another twenty minutes have gone by, with Arthur looking around and trying hard to see everything as best as he can, they went to the palace where it seemed that someone was waiting for them. Well by the way the man's voice sounded it looked liked he was worried and at that moment Arthur noticed he still had his hood up; so taking a nice deep breath as much as he can he pulled off his hood to let the man know he was also a surface elf. "Hello." He said with a light smile, he didn't know if Kieran was going to introduce him or if he had to do it himself.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 03, 2007 2:31 pm

Arthur didn't get a chance to pull down his hood too much, seeing as Kieran grabbed his wrist and pulled it back up over his head, giving a chastising look to him a moment. He still needed that shading of his eyes for a bit longer and Kieran didn't tell him to take his hood down. But a look over to Lateef and he helped Lharika down, then plopped down himself. "Verdui Lateef...please, no need for that," Motioning him to rise from his knelt position.

Then a gesture to Arthur. "This is Arthur...or rather Galesen to please your tongue better, Coldiron. Part of Malik and Piper's little kingdom down there...here's come her to have his eye replaced with our oh so wonderful flesh threading technichques." A nod to that and then he tended to Isle, pulling her hood down and then her as well into his arms, walking her over to Lateef to take. "And she isn't here, merely decided to spar with Malik and not have him take it easy. Bruises are worse than the actual damage. Don't be alarmed."

Isle gave a giggle. "Verdui Daddy." Giving an almost sheepish look at him as she was being handed over. This should be good on some scale.

"Have fun Galesen!" Lhairka bounded down and headed inside, excited to settle back in at home. It took nothing for her to scurry up the stairs and into her room to unpack.

Lateef's eyes narrowed even as he rose from his position. Needless today he was doing some fast figuring in his head. Brigade Master upstairs woul be delighted to know that Kieran had brought along yet another guest from his daughter's chosen world. Arthur? That wasn't a very elvish name, now was it? "Verdui Galesen Coldiron, Lateef Rainsong is my name. Welome to Andal. I hope you'll find our fine plane to your liking and recieve the treatment you came here to take advantage of."

His gaze moved over to his daughter as she was lifted and brough to him. A shake of his head as her weight settled into his arms. "Ah Raindrop. You always enjoyed the most challenging things. We won't let your mother see you like this just yet, hmm?" Pressing a kiss to her forehead and then gesturing with his head. "Well, come on in everyone. No sense wiating about out here. Kieran, your father is currently occupied and you have company in your office. Our illustrious Master of the Brigades couldnt' seem to wait until you returned to discuss the drow situation."
PostPosted: Sat Feb 03, 2007 3:00 pm

A small cough here and there before the elf looked at Kieran a little bit, boy did that man save his eyes, though he felt like an idiot for a little bit because he didn't wait to be told everything was alright in order to take his hood off. "I will Lark! I hope to see you soon!" He called after the little elf. So after a few coughs the elf slipped off his steed and walked slowly over to the elves and nodded lightly to Lateef. "It's nice to meet you Lord Rainsong, I'm glad to have finally been able to come and visit Andal; my treatment is just one of the many reasons why I've asked Kieran to come up here." A small chuckle to that as he raised an eyebrow to when Isle was called raindrop. "Raindrop? Well that's new, why didn't you tell me about that?" He asked with a chuckle followed by a small cough, the one thing he liked to do is to sit down right about now. So when Lateef said that they should all come in Arthur was happy to follow everyone inside, and even with the light still bugging him he tried his best to take his time and look around at how the palace was set up, to him it was a lot better than the fortress in some areas it even made him more happy that Malik allowed him to come.

He watched Lharika run off. "I wish I could be that excited about coming home." Though it was obvious that that excitment wasn't present, especially as Lateef mentioned that the Master Brigade leader was waiting in his office. Oh joy among joys. Kieran gave a slighly nervous laugh. "Hm, I was wondering if he was going to come calling on me about that." Running a hand through his horribly short hair before starting to the palace with the others, soon walking familiar halls. "I suppose it would be best to get him Brigade supervision then. Especially with that he needs done. You think I could convince our dear Brigade Master to do it?" Heading for his office, he knew Lateef would decide what to do with the others in accompaniment.

Isle gave a chuckle, nuzzling at her father affectionately. "I think that is a wise idea daddy...she would throw a fuss that's for sure." Relaxing into his hold as she was being carried, a few palace staff would tend to thier horses and bags. But she turned a look over her father's shoulder to Galesen as he mentioned her nickname with an odd look. "Why would I tell you about such a thing?"
PostPosted: Sat Feb 03, 2007 3:52 pm

Lateef nodded, "Yes, I think that would be a good idea indeed Kieran." He raised an eyebrow at his King's sudden style change but thought better than mentioning it. Chances were a certain drow Queen had influenced him to change his style and he kenw better than to rub it in Kieran's face if that was indeed the case.

One eyebrow raised at Galesen's address to Isleandra. Was he that familiar with his daughter that he would question why he wasn't informed of his nickname for her? Rinc Kier help the boy if that nickname came out in his presence. He knew Isle had wandering tastes but he hadn't expected her to end up with anyone out of Piper's little kingdom. But he would keep his mouth closed for a while on that. "Well, while Kieran takes care of his business why don't you follow me Galsen and I'll get you settled into a room and then I think a tour of the palace. Isleandra you are going straight to bed and I'll hear no arguments on the issue my girl. You got yourself into this little predicament, now you can suffer the consequences. We will take care of Galesen so no excuses to that effect."

As efficiently as he handled affairs of plane he snapped his fingers and motioned the group to follow, taking Galesen to a room in the Eastern wing where guests stayed. "If you'll just stay here for a moment Coldiron, I'll be right back for that tour." It was an order disguised as a suggestion as any elf would soon learn that was how Lateef worked. Carting his daughter off to her room, he settled her in. "Now then Raindrop, I'll send someone in with something to keep you company. I know how restless you can be. For now I have to go introduce Galesen to the Brigades. Reverie well my dear and as always all my love." Pressing one final kiss to her forehead and then back to Galesen's room. "How about that tour Coldiron?"

The Brigade Master was standing with his hands behind his back awaiting the King of the Moon elves. There were a few things they needed to discuss after all. "Ah Kieran Silvercrest." Saluting him in turn. "Welcome home my Lord. Do you have a report?"

Arthur again coughed and placed a hand on his chest for a moment before looking at Isle with a small smile. "Well it sounds like such a cute nickname, is there a reason why I shouldn't call you it?" But he gave a small wave that told her that he really didn't mind and let the subject drop. Though he turned to Isle's father and smiled a little bit. "Alright then, lead the way." So the elf followed Lateef without any problems, after all the one thing he really wanted to do was rest up; he really needed to get use to the surface and he bet that some bed rest would do him some good. So when they arrived at his guest room he smiled lightly at the older elf and nodded. "Sure Lord Rainsong I'll be waiting here for your return." A small nod of his head in respect as he headed off with his daughter in his arms to place her in bed. So the elf waited quietly, looking around the wonderful palace which made him wish he was born in Andal instead of the Underdark, but that was just a stupid wish he didn't mind of where he came from. So when Lateef came back he gave a small nod of his head and smiled. "Yes I am Lord Rainsong, I can't wait to see what you will be showing me of this lovely place."

She frowned. "Because it is an endearment between parent and child, you've no right to use or know it." Simple at that. But she didn't say anymore either as her father carted her off to her own room. It was nice living in the palace sometimes, that was for sure. "I will daddy, all my love. Send mine to mama as well." Before settling herself in...hm, reverie in the noonday sun sounded nice.

Kieran clapped a fisted hand to his shoulder and arm over his chest, a slight bow as he came into his own office, to the man. "Master Tyyrael, always a please to see you." Then again Kieran often saw the Master Brigade leader/Rune Master now didn't he? "And I am happy to be home...I assume the report you seek is on Lady Ardulaste?" A gesture to his hair on that one. "She wasn't pleased with the way I am pushing her out of my land, which she has no right to be on, Obsidians here or not. Once they step onto the Requias Peninsula, they become under my protection. She hasn't tried to cause any trouble for you in my abscense has she?"

Lateef was not a stupid elf, he'd been around a long, long time and he knew of certain things. Certain looks, certain phrases. There were very specific things between lovers. Lateef had a very interesting policy when it came to Isle. He let her do as she liked until she endangered herself or caused serious trouble, then he or his wife would gently rein her in. Generally when she got to that point she was more than willing to fall in with their guidance so they'd never really had a problem. But here, well he felt inclined to keep an eye on this Galesen.

"So Galesen, if I may call you Galesen, welcome once again, quite formally to Andal. The first thing I am going to teach you is our salute. It's very simple, in fact you've seen it twice before and possibly even before that I'm sure. You will be introduced to many important people here on Andal and it is important that you afford them the proper respect. With that in mind, let's begin." Lateef deomonstrated by fisting a hand, thumb out as a sign of peace, and then resting directly across his chest lying on his shoulder, right above his clavicle. "Before a King or Queen, whom you will know by their circlets or the tattoo on their cheek, you will kneel or bow slightly. Before others, such as myself, you will merely salute."

Rubbing his hands together he gestured to the palace halls and cleared his throat. "You find yourself now in Farhian, the city of the Moon elves. You will find in short time that everything is based on race here." He gestured forth and began to walk. "Some feel that certain races are above others but most are peaceful enough to keep their feelings to mere rivalry in games of sport and whatnot. Others however take a violent turn and they are dealt with quickly and unmercifully. Let me be very clear, Galesen. Threats to Andal are not tolerated. But more on that later." He once again gestured to the hall. "This is the East tower or the guest wing. You will stay here as long as you are in Farhian. Those who claim the palace as their home reside in the West tower. If your room or anything you have is not to your liking, merely call for a servant and we will do our best to see to it that you are comfortable. If you'll promise not to repeat it, I'll tell you a secret." He rested a hand over Galesen's shoulders and whispered, "The service in Farhian is the best in Andal."

"Now then, to the north is the opulent throne room and many other such rooms that Kieran uses to do his work. Abhors most of them really...." Lateef could be quite longwinded sometimes and he took Galesen through a brief tour of most of the palace. As the tour progressed he began to question his young guest."Now then, tell me a bit about yourself. You have taken an interest in my daughter."

Tyrael rolled his eyes and sank down into a chair. He listened closely and nodded, then steepled his fingers together taking time to piece together his words. "Well, Kieran, I won't lie she did come forth and spout her vicious words. Well not her per se, it was one of her minions." He dropped his hands and sighed, "Kieran I don't think I need to tell you just how much this has torn into part of our peace. I can't have Andal ripped apart for your good deeds, you understand that. Lady Ardulaste was sent back into Daimos with a special warning placed on her minion by me personally. I will not have her antics or she will suffer the same fate as all others who tried to control or destroy our beloved plane. Guard your Requias as you see fit but do be careful friend." He paused for a moment and shook his head, "There are those who question your presence on the throne these days. The stir your son-in-law caused is still widely remembered. Do not let them lose faith in you mellon. It would not bode well."
