Mighty huntress was on the prowl, greatest lioness in all of history! Now.. if only she could become bigger than the grass she was crawling around in, Ti's life would be complete.
"STUUPID GRAAASS! YOU DON'T GIVE EVERYBODY ELSE THIS PROBLEM!!" she wailed, her limbs flailing out at the plant to try and put it back into it's place. Stupidgrass! He efforts were futile as she pressed the plant back down into it's place, leaping up and down on top of it before it corrected itself and the stalks thwacked her in the nose.
She stumbled back away from it, then swatted at it, attempting to put it back into it's place with her keelar claws.
Unfortunately, her 'keelar claws' weren't as effective as she would have liked.. (a significant lack of the claws might have been part of the reason why this was..).
So the sound of cursing filled the air from the little jackal lioness. Oh, she'd show it.

It was too early for whatever it was to be yelling. Indeed, Tiaret's wailing had awoken Ai, whom, as gently as possible to prevent the lioness from waking, left Kat's side to go outside to investigate the noise.
However, outside, he seemed to find nothing, leaving a confused expression on the dark male's face. Whatever it w-.... MOVING GRASS!
The dark lion all but pressed himself firmly against the ground to peer through the golden stalks of grass that grew outside of his/Kat's den. Was there a cub hiding in there?
It wasn't an unreasonable thought. A young cub could have EASILY gotten lost in the grass. But.. he'd yet to have seen any golden cubs that looked like the 'cub' in hiding.
"... Hello?"
Maybe it wasn't even a lion. He'd heard of the smaller species of the lands.

Someone was there!! The cub's fur puffed up as she spotted the black lion that was looking at her through the grass, before ducking down to hide even BETTER and stalk through it to investigate this.......
EEK! He was -BIG-. No matter!
"RAAAAAAAAR!" the kinda-roar of the golden being filled the air as she lept from the grass he hid in to latch to the foreign dark face of the lion that was watching her. He was an invader to HER territory and she was going to show him up for it!

Hey! There was something mo-.... "WAAAAAAAH!"
A sudden yell filled the air as Ai jerked his head up, the little golden creature latched to it like some rabid MONSTER! And it hurt too! He decided about right then that the 'cub' was NOT a cub. But something else. No sane lion he'd ever met, child or no, latched to faces!
The dark adolescent shook his head back and forth until the jackal fell off of his face before sniffing at the little one curiously. He did, however, keep enough distance between himself and it to prevent anyMORE face latching.
"What the hell was -that- for?" he inquired with as serious of a face as the dark adolescent could muster. Which, being as it was Ai, was NOT very serious... (hard to take someone you just latched to the face of seriously, he'd guess.. )

She'd held on for dear life as well as she could when the dark lion had started to shake his head about rigorously, but, ultimately, she fell back into the grass she'd lept from.
It made her head spin, before she opened her eyes to see the looming lion investigating her. Hell yeah! She was interesting, he'd better have been checking her out!
Her little paws made a grabbing/pawing motion at Ai's face when it drew closer, but it didn't seem that he would get close enough for her to latch to him again. Darnit! On her back, how -else- was she supposed to assert her territorial domain over this loser!?
"You invaded my territory! You were ASKING for it, jerkface!" she yelled at him, rolling over onto her feet to leer at him in warning. Oh yeah. She was the QUEEN.
If not a bit egotistical. "You BIG lions always try to push us little lions around!"

Ai jerked his head back away from the shouting 'lion', a REALLY confused look on his face. Big lions and little lions? Hey.. I DON'T PICK ON LITTLE PEOPLE@!:FJa;kj!! The dark adolescent gave Ti a FIRM leer, almost in the form of an immature pout.
She was -so- childish.. (look who's talking.. )
"If -that's- the case, this is -MY- territory, little girl." he stated firmly, but in his head was unsure. What if it actually WAS her territory? No! He was here first. Unless... she was referring to the grass.
"Wait... -what- is your territory anyway?" Ai inquired, blinking. "I mean... the grass.. everywhere... what?" He'd again crouched to be on an eye-to-eye level with the 'lioness', ears flattened back a bit. Ai was ready to move if she launched herself at his face again.
As if he yelled TOO much, he'd probably wake up Kat.. and he didn't want to do that.

"My territory!" she announced, circling the large patch of grass then taking 'throne' on a giant rock which stuck out of it, beaming proudly, little tail wagging. LOVE ME.
She was SO adorable.
Leaping back off the rock, the golden jackal lioness bounded through the tall grass again to post herself in front of the black giant. No really.. he was BIIIIIIIIIG.
Tiaret had to tilt her head back to look up at the giant lion curiously, tilting her head to the side a bit. "So how did Mr. Big Lion get to be such a big lion? My whole family is little lions." she explained, frowning.
Why did she have to be LITTLE? Darnit.. had to be in the water or something... or maybe.. IT WAS BECAUSE HIS PARENTS WERE BIG LIONS!
Ti had -totally- figured it out.

Ai watched as the little 'cub' marked out her territory, then decreed that she was a 'small lion' then labelled him a 'big lion'. What?
He thought about this for a moment, before he realized she was seperating the pridal lions of the lands into the category of 'big lions' since they were bigger and whatever group she came from as the 'little lions'.
It was more confusing than he would have liked, he decided.
"I see... well... I'll stay out of your territory uninvited..." the dark lion said, nodding firmly.
Ai didn't understand this little girl at ALL.

He'd ignored her question, but that was OK, she guess, leaping off her rock back into the grass. Ti crawled through it, before posting herself at the large lion's paws, tilting her head back to look up at him.
".. So does Mr. Big Lion have a name? I have a name! It's Tiaret." she announced, beaming joyously her fur puffing proudly.
She was the bestest lioness ever!
Her tail wagged as Ti waited for Ai to give her his name, since she'd grown accustomed that names were ALWAYS exchanged like that once one person had given their name...
Unless *GASP* He was a rude big lion!
.. But he didn't SEEM to be a rude big lion, so she'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

Ai smiled a bit at the introduction he received, looking down at the small body that was all but ON his paws. How did something -get- to be that small unless it was a BUG?
"Tiaret? That's a lovely name!" he complimented, before returning the gesture. "Mine is Ai'kunliu." The more he said that name, the more he realized how much of a MOUTHFUL it was. Aiie!
So no, he wasn't a 'rude' big lion.
However, he -was- a paranoid big lion, whom rose up to his paws.
"It was charming to meet you, Tiaret.. but I need to go see if Kat has woken.." he explained, turning to head back towards his den. Amazing how short meetings could be at times.

A Kat? What was a Kat?
Tiaret hopped up to her paws to follow the 'big lion', wanting to see what this 'Kat' he spoke of checking up on was.
"I'm charming, but Ai'kunliu-lion wishes to go see the Kat-one?" she inquired, head tilting to the side as she bounded off ahead of him to scope out where it was they were going. Bet it was exciting!
.. Though dark.
"... I don't see a Kat-one..." she complained as Ai stood behind her.

Ai nudged the tiny jackal with a paw when he walked up behind her, before stepping over her to crawl into the secluded space the pair had taken up as their own. It was kept Kat safe when he could not (and he still beat himself up for it.. ) -and- he would keep children safe one day too.
But he didn't really think about that too much.
"Yes.. my Kat-one.." he beamed, sitting in a sort of 'watch' over the sleeping lioness, smiling contented at how peaceful she seemed to be.
It was hard to remember that she'd returned to him and the pridelands in a panic and with a broken leg.
Oh.. he'd find that blasted god and give him what was coming for him for hurting Kat. NOBODY was allowed to hurt her.
And there were NO exceptions to that rule.

Ti let out a whine of complaint when her rump was nudged by the bigger lion. Stupid big lions thought that they controlled EVERYTHING. She'd show him. This attention spawn was lost, however, as she followed obediantly after him to see this 'Kat-one'.
The golden jackal fell silent at how fondly the big male looked over his big-lion friend, head tilting to the side, before wandering over to investigate her. Ti knew better than to take a flying leap onto the lioness, however.
"Your Kat-one is a big lion.." Ti stated in awe, before shuffling back towards where she had come from to begin with, crawling underneath the rocky opening into the large space that would grant her freedom to run home.
"Ti-lion needs to run home now, Mr. Ai-lion! Byebye!" she chimed, grinning, before turning and bounding back off into the grass.

Ai smiled. "Yes.. a big lion." he assured, and watched as the little golden 'lion' bounded out to where freedom was calling for her and bid her farewell to him.
"Bye-bye, Ti-lion!" he chimed, grinning a bit, before laying back down by Kat's side.
There was still time for him to get some more sleep before the day officially called for him. So time to spend with his Kat-one would be time he would take advantage of.
He rested his head against that of the brown female's, purring fondly.
Wake up soon so I can see you.
