I'm just curious about everyone elses opinion on this controversial matter.

I don't think cigarettes should be legal personally, because I think they're disgusting and should never have been invented in the first place more than anything else. I don't like smokers, I don't like smoke and I don't like cigarettes. As for weed... same kind of deal. But only the kind you smoke - I have no problem with edible weed - like brownies or whatever. I'm weird in that way. I don't care about the effects (except for in extreme cases like kinds of acid, where you're out of your mind and lose all rationality, those aren't cool) I'm about the method - if someone wants to get high all the better to them, go ahead - it's SMOKING that bothers me.

So since that'll never happen (only a certain kind getting passed as legal) I say it should all be legal. Why? One: it stops people from doing it just to be badass - it eliminates the 'forbidden' aspect of it. Two: cigarettes are legal, and they've been proven to be less harmful (less chemicals in lesser concentrations, etc) than cigarettes. Three: people do it when it's illegal anyway - weed is extremely easy to find, hell, your average highschooler knows where and how to get it.

That said, I've never smoked and never care to smoke weed. I would consider trying a brownie or something I don't need to smoke or snort.

I know it can be done and it done, you know in movies and stuff they'll talk about 'special' brownies, etc. I've known people who've eaten them, but didn't ask for details about strength of anything. At the time i really didn't give a s**t. I don't think the chemical properties change - it doesn't get stronger (why would it?) that I know of anyway. And brownies just seem a hell of a lot more appetizing than a mouthful of smoke.

So long answer short: I don't know.

I just think you're crazy. And since you'll probably never smoke around me... I can't be bothered too much about it. I just hope you're being careful - you don't want to get addicted to the damn things.

Can I ask why though? Why start? Why bother? Especially with the ciagrettes. There's hardly a high involved, it seems just more harmful than fun.

I say, keep it legalized. Main reasons:

1) I don't want to see men with boobs as large as womens. Yes, that's a side effect of weed, mary jane, all the names for it. It makes your boobs grow, in men. If you want your boobs to grow, eat lettuce...or maybe it's cabbage =D

2) I don't want to see females with smaller fun ******** it...tits. I like female breasts, and not in the perverted way...well...kinda. I think they are beautiful and, well, perfect. I actually believe that if there is a god/allah/whatever up there, it's a woman, not a man. A man cannot create all the beauty that there is in the world. Well, if he was gay, then yes, but still.

3) People can actually die from it, and not from just cancer. Since it's a hallucenigen[sp, and only kinda], say you think that there's a river of rainbows across the street, and to you all the cars are flying, you run into the street, BAM dead. Also, it can break up families, but I find it even worse that I know an entire FAMILY that smokes and does drugs. And my cousins smoke weed and some of my friends, trying to get me to do it I say "Pfft, who's gonna drive, I like my brain, and no thanks."

Sorry if they don't make sence, I just smoked a little weed and I'm high[just kidding].

It's a possibilty Kori. If it does have an effect on breast size it might have have an effect on the sex hormones (if definately has an effect on other chemicals in your brain so it might) and your birth control works by sex hormones.
It might be fine but you should definately look into it more.

The thing that makes weed a bit worse than fags, is if it does mess with you, it messes with your head.
If it does ever get legalised it should be for above 21s. You body may have stopped growing around 18 but your mind is still sorting itself out.

Lol, I'm not so sure about that one. Is it safe to ask doctors about illegal substances? xd I mean, are they sworn to patient-doctor confidentiality, or does the illegalness make the confidentiality null and void?

And technically, marijuana is a stimulant, depressant, and hallucinogen. It's just very very mild on the hallucinogen end.

Mmm... I know so many people that smoke weed. To be quite honest... the only person it's ever bothered me with is Josh; but he's not an addict so it's not that bad... confused

I've been exposed to so much though... like sitting in circles where a joint's been passed around... but I've never taken a hit. Not yet.

Marijuana doesn't really do much accept (usually) put the smoker in a good mood. I remember this one time I was sitting in an apartment balcony and people were passing a joint and one girl was drinking... one of the boys asked for a ride home and she said "Ok, I feel a little drunk, though" and he refused because of that... not because she was high.

So, basically, this is like what Kristy (or was it Kori?) said; you can still function with it in your system.

As for the legality of it all... I'm torn. I've been raised to shun it and consider it bad... yet with everyone I've seen... there have been no problems. I think it should be legal... but with restrictions. Like... a huka bar or something haha. It would definately help make weed not a big deal so people can do it in a safe environment and get it out of their systems as opposed to trying to sneak around and do it illegally.

I hope this makes sense.

But I am with you, Kristy. I can't stand smoking of any sort... yet I'm okay with hash brownies or something. Weird... Although, the fact that it doesn't bust up your lungs and throat as bad are a slight bonus for those who prefer smoking.
