Shantytown Don't develop quickly enough, and the riffraff will move in. Here is an example of that: a patch of unused land in Aekea was quickly taken up by the impoverished, turning into tin-sheet huts that lean against each other for support. Getting tossed into one of these could bring the whole thing tumbling down.

The moment Tormenta stepped into the area he was disgusted. To think that these lowlives would be stubborn enough to try to survive, despite the fact that the Lord clearly wanted them to give up.
Dressed in his black shirt, pants, and white collar, the vampire continued on his way through the streets, his emerald wings in tow.

Alm entered the unspectacular scene, still feeling a bit chilly, and called back to the masked man, "Hey, come on over here Anji. Help me find some standard marbles if you can." Alm rubbed his hands together to gather some warmth, hoping that the chill weather wasn't a foreboding omen.

Anji nodded, running up beside him happily. Where he paused, staring down the alleyway for for a moment, at the figure who was approaching slowly but surely. Watching as Tormenta approached them with the same cold eyes as before, Anji smiled. "Hey!! Creepy guy!!!" he called out with a wave, trying to get Tormenta's attention. It was about time he showed up....

Tormenta froze on the spot. ...Creepy guy? An eyebrow rose as the man looked down the alley in time to spot the man he had met earlier, standing with another. "Anji!" he called, making his way toward the pair. "I've been looking for you!" Shaking his head as he arrived a few steps away, the vampire offered his hand to the stranger. "Sacerdote De la Tormenta. And you are?"

Alm raised an eyebrow at the man Anji spoke of, "I do not see what is so creepy about you...No matter, Anji would know better than me. Hello friend, I am Almarech Yrgendall, master of the runic arts." He accepted the man's handshake whole-heartedly, a smile spread across his face, "Would you happen to know where I can find some marbles? You kow, the kind children play with? I need a whole bag of 'em for...experimental purposes...."

A smirk crept onto Tormenta's face as he shook the man's hand. "So you are searching for the marbles also? Anji," he began, turning to face the least stable of the three, "Has this man agreed to come back to the Institute with us? He may be just what we're looking for."

Anji grinned under his mask, nodding happily. "We just came from there!" he exclaimed excitedly, spinning on his heels so he rotated 360 degrees before coming back to face Tormenta. "He's my friend too!! He's great!!" This was all said in a childishly upbeat fashion as he moved about hyperly, apparently very excited about the situation...

A bemused look replaced the smirk as Tormenta's head moved back to face Alm once more. "So you are prepared to come back to the Institute with us? The man there said that we needed three, and as you can see, Anji and I make up only two. Of course, do not let yourself be pressured into anything."

Alm nodded his head to Tormenta, "You two can go there without me. I'm going to search for some marbles on my own for a bit. I'll meet you back there when I'm done." With that, he walked towards the craptastic houses, stopping only to wave goodbye to Anji and Tormenta.
Who to ask first... Alm's earholes were drawn to a nearby child holding a sack that made a clacking noise everytime the kid took a step.

The old man returned the nod as he started to head Northeast, to the centre of the city. "Come, Anji," he called without moving his head. "We shall meet up with Almarech later." It was then that he turned to look behind him, and at the man. "Stay alive until we see you next. It will make you more useful."
((Okay, Demir's gone offline, so I'm gonna puppet him along while I try to find a third member. Anyway, I'm headed to the City Centre now, so I'll see you later dude.))

The monolithic man stepped towards the child, "Boy!" The child's head perked up, his eyes widening as he gazed at this giant. Alm watched with annoyance as the boy darted off into a nearby alley, "No, boy! I just wished to speak with you!"
Alm waited a few seconds to see if the boy would show his grimey face again...no such luck, so Alm began to trod towards the alley right as the boy glanced around the corner.
"Whaddaya want, stranger! I stole these marbles fair and square!" the boy yelled out as he clutched the sack.
Alm let out an exasperated sigh as he slumped his shoulders. An idea then struck his thoughts, I can just convince the boy that he'll get arrested if he does not relinquish the marble to me! "BOY! You place the bag on the ground now, or I'll throw your a** in jail!" Almarech shouted commandingly as he slowly stepped forward. He could barely see the boy's trembling arm as he put the bag down and stepped out into the open. "Good choice, now get the hell out of here!" Alm barked. The boy did not need to be told twice and darted past Alm as fast as he could.
Ah, sheer brilliance Alm retrieved the bag of marbles and placed them in his left pocket, separate from the magic marble. About time I headed back to the institute[/] With that thought Alm headed back the way he came.
