Poor Elizabeth had gotten lost. Again. She'd wandered away from her mother again and had lost her way. She crawls around on all fours, looking for something she recognized. Hm. She'd definitely passed that shiny tile before. She plops down onto her bottom and looks around, growing distressed.

Polgara was walking about as per usually, and when she walked by the child she stopped for a minute looking down at the toddler.
"Where are all of these coming from?" She asked aloud to nobody in particular as she crouched down and picked upt the small place tot, and placed her on her hip. "Well Aunty Pol will take care of you until your mommy or daddy comes to get you..." She smiled, moving to a couch to sit and make herself comfortable.

"Aunty Pol?" asks Elizabeth, mildly confused. What's an Aunty Pol? But, being of a friendly sort, Elizabeth cuddles into her rescuer and burbles happily.

Polgara smiled. "Yep, you can call me Aunty Pol," She chuckled warmly and poked the little girls nose, before taking a seat on the comfortable couch, stretching her legs out a little. "So then little one, are you lost?" There seemed to be a great overabundance of toddlers, and many of them seemed to be without caretakers, which made Polgara want to keep them even more, even though she knew she shouldn't.

Realization dawns on the toddler. "Ohhh. You Aunty Pol." She giggles as Aunty Pol pokes her nose. "Lotht? Can't find Mumma," she says, frowning and looking around. As if Mene would magically pop out of the woodworks.

Polgara nodded and hugged the little tot close, patting her back. "It's gonna be okay, Aunty Pol will stay with you until your momma comes and finds you here with me okay?" She smiled down at the toddler, who she put into her lap, and patter her cheek. "While we wait, do you want to play a game?"

"Game?" asks Elizabeth excitedly. She doesn't know many words yet, but 'game' is one she definitely knows. "Game!"

Polgara grins widly and chuckles softly. "Do you know any?" Polgara knew her fair share, having once been a mother herself, but she wanted to see what the little child knew, you know, just in case she had a game that Pol had never heard of.

Elizabeth claps her chubby hands together. "Pat-Cake," she says, staring intently at her hands. "Aunty Pol haff new game?" Pat-A-Cake is the only game her mother has the patience for.

"Well there is peek-a-boo, and a few others," She smiled. "Like horsey, and a few more," She smiled at the toddler, willing to play pat-cake, as she so cutely put it.

Elizabeth tilts her head. "What peek-a-boo?" She keeps her hands clapped together, as if she'd forgotten they were there.

Polgara held out her hand. "Cloth," She said, and a small swatch of cloth, about the size of her head, appeared in her hands. She held it up in front of her like a veil blocking off Elizabeth's view of her, then suddenly dropped her arms and declared. "Peek-a-boo!"

Polgara smiled and repeated the action and words, doing it a few times actually, changing the timing, sometimes waiting a 'long' while, and sometimes barely pulling it up to drop it back down again, adding a sort of randomness to the game.

Elizabeth is easily surprised, and every time "Peek-a-boo!" is met with gleeful laughter and hand-clapping.
