The Shadowbar

Wandering through the shadows of the city, you find yourself in the middle of a moonlit meadow, tall grasses gently swaying in the wind. It is always night here, for that is how they like it at The Shadowbar.

Up ahead is a two-story building of stone and slanted wood roof, faintly red, light shining from big bright windows. Inside is a spacious bar, and upstairs there are plenty of rooms to rent; here, you'll meet a variety of colorful characters, from vampires to werewolves to alchemists. The bar is run by EternalSwan, or ES, who herself happens to be half-angel, half-demon, half-dragon.

Well son of a b***h.

"I've been here before."

It was a grassy patch of land. It was night, despite being day just... Three feet ago. And there was a bar in the middle of it, despite no roads leading here. There were probably even rafters inside.

On both floors.

Everyone had been here at some point. Maybe not this one specifically, but all darkness-enclosed middle-of-nowhere bars were alike. Gamma trudged his combat boots over the grass and stopped right before the building.

He didn't have to go inside to know what was in there.

The place didn't look all that inviting for a tavern.

Out in the middle of no where with the seemingly only means of coming here to be to walk through some queer shadow.

It was almost as though the place only asked for the drugged and wasted kind of individual to show up at their door.

And then there was the building itself. It looked like an angsting teen had designed it. Blacker then a black hole, even if such a thing was not possible, with every single detail standing out in the horrid illumination.

"Looks like the kind of place you can only want to destroy."

And there was a man, drinking martini's like no tomorrow. He wasn't wearing anything fancy, a normal work suit but man was he chugging those martini's. Then popping the olives.

All of a sudden, he began choking and grabbed his throat as he backed off the stool.

"Really now?" Eustathios asked. "You have been to a place that looks like it belongs on the front cover of 'How to be an Emo God'?"

He snickered, and stepped towards the building, moving ahead of the others. Whatever was inside, guaranteed action, or at least he hoped it did.

Banging on the door with the butt of his spear, three times, he then opened it himself. Not even waiting for someone to reply. From the sounds of it, the place was quite populated, from the sounds of it.

Stepping inside, he gave the drunkards a good look over.

Edit:

He quickly took notice of the poor man who was chocking upon something. What he didn't know, or cared, but it was his duty and respect as a spartan to help him. Quickly dropping his spears, he moved up behind the man.

Given that Eustathios had been trained for combat, he had also been taught CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. His arms wrapped around the victim, and quickly performed it, attempting several times to dislodge the object. [OOC: Dunno if he does or not, so that is up to Minx.]

Miles stepped around the developing scene and opted to steal the man's seat and take it for his own. Leaning on the bar he looked back to his team mate before glancing back to behind the bar.

"What's the selection?"

"Vampire. Vampire. Vampire. Vampire. Vampiiiiirrree...?" Punctuating every word with a flick of his index finger; pointing at different bar patrons with each word. He paused on the last one, because Gamma wasn't sure.

"...Half vampire?"

Nods all around.

"Alright. Still got it." The real kicker was that Gamma was pointing up where the ceiling was supposed to be. Rafters. Packed to the rafter-gills with people.

Gamma came in after Eustathios, keeping his chainsaw slung high on his left shoulder. The mask was on sad mode, as usual.

Turning around, he saw the Spartan Heimliching some guy. Looked human, but that's usually the first sign of something being six halves vampire, minotaur, and werewolf. Possibly 1/52nd Cherokee.

"What're you doing that for? Going to spear him in the head, too?" It wasn't really that derisive, more of an observation.

*cough*

*cough*

On the third attempt it came out, though it wasn't an olive...it was a marble. A nice shiny marble.

((I thought for sure, someone would just spear him. xp ))

Not like I think you guys will use it, but this puzzle gets this accessory))

Accessory:Resurrect

Color: White
Transfer your own stat points to an ally. You can use this ability to revive a fallen ally, but the stat you transfer from still has to match the stat you transfer to; i.e., you cannot transfer from Attack to Defense.

Eustathios continued to perform the maneuver even after the b*****d had coughed up the foreign object. Purely because he hadn't noticed due to Gamma's interruption.

"
If he doesn't ******** thank me I will," And then he noticed. "Oh, sorry. The Spartan then dropped the random man to the ground in a heap. Before going to investigate just what it was he had been choking on. After he found it, he wiped it off on the former victim's shirt. Staring at it for a moment, he grinned, so he finally got one for himself. How nice.

"Hey!"

Miles was calling to the owner now, trying to get her attention. He had asked a question and it was very rude to ignore someone when they were asking you something.

"I asked how many...

The owner turned around and revulsion filled Miles.

"Oh Nyarlathotep, what the hell is that?"

He was looking at the owner and she was an abomination before his eyes. He'd seen a ******** shoggoth and had been victim to a thousand years of solitude; but the blasphemy which was before him was just too much.

"Kill it! Kill it!"

How could something like it even live?

"Errryeah."

Gamma was getting tired of all the people sitting above him. All the long, white hair and trenchcoats were getting to him.

"I'll be outside." The masked man muscled his way passed several people and out the door. Godamn places.

All alike.

Miles had left when had had found most of the bar turning against him in a single instant. He hadn't left though without drawing a little blood as he was forced to defend himself.

That's the odd thing about these places, any time someone got into a fight was as though they were sucked into a parallel dimension where only the fight was happening and everyone else was going about their business as though nothing was a miss.

The place could be set a flame, furniture broken and bodies left to litter the ground; but the instant it was over every thing would turn back to the way it was before the fight.

Which was just too odd.

Standing out side he kept his back to the bar, he didn't want to look at it.

"Good idea," Eustathios picked up his spears and set them upon the ground, the one that had a full helping of rockets misfired. The spearhead projectile flew up to the base of the rafters overhead and caused a chain reaction. It's detonation would force the people in the rafter to tumble to the ground, the large pieces of wood would crush all those and anything under them. Additionally, several hundred stakes were made from the 'accident', spearing most of the occupants, who were coincidentally all Vamampires (Not a typo), turning them to dust. "Oops." He promptly left, to the stares of those alive, but it didn't matter. Their whites mages could heal that, right? They had entered a relatively peaceful, albeit similar looking at everything, and left a burning shell of a structure. With a marble no less.
