((This is a Private RP of the Trial Sati and Silver are undertaking to become youths.))
Silver was fiddling with the pack he was taking, making sure that he had all the gear they might need. Hammer, Hatchet, Pitons, Rope, flint and steel, food to last them the for a week if they needed it, and what few things he actually used as a shaman, some ritual fur dyes, some bones, a few note books he had been keeping notes in. He also checked that his secondary weapons where packed. 3 dozen throwing knives, a pair of long knives, and leaning next to the pack, a long bow and a pair of quivers each with 2 score arrows. He was already wearing the armored gauntlets which was the only armor he would wear. Now all he had to do was wait for Sati. He sat on the ground indian style, dropping into a light meditation.

'Mmm..soo tired,' Sati yawned as she crammed the last of her stuff inside the pockets of her backpack. She was dressed in fleeced lined jogging bottoms, and a sleeveless top. She had her boots on underneath the bottoms, they were worn but comfortable. She stuffed the last piece of toast in her mouth and hoisted the pack onto her back. She locked the front door behind her, and walked slowly over to Silver. 'It's too early love,' she said, as she knelt beside him.

Silver's eye opened to see the sun rising behind Sati, and he smiles a little. "I'm sorry love, but we have a long way to go. Plus I wanted to stop somewhere along the way to do something." Silver hoists his pack onto his back, attaching the buckles, making sure the quick release is withing easy reach, and slides the bow over his shoulder, smiling a little. "Ready to go love?"

She pulled him to her, kissing him warmly, her fingers sliding into his fur. Breaking away she smiled. 'Now I am,' she chuckled.

Silver kisses back, smiling a little. "Lets go then." Silver sets off for the woods, heading mainly south east, keeping a reasonable pace, following a trail that he knows well. The birds are just waking up, sleepy chirps echoing through the woods. Silver's ears swivel around, listening for anything out of place in the woods that could alert him to danger.

Sati crunched along behind him, fallen leaves getting crushed beneath her boots. 'Can I not use my power to shorten this journey?' she asked. 'Or is that one of our conditions?'

Silver tilted his head to one side as they walked. "Well, kinda. Airi didn't say it outright, but she emphasised the full days walk part. I think part of the trials that we have to undertake happen on the journey up there. Plus you have to know exactly where you are going to use your power, correct? If you are off by a few yards in the mountains, that could spell our doom." Silver smiles a little. "Don't worry, we can use your powers on the trip back."

She stuck her tongue out at his back, dumping leaves on him; 'You know my powers are more refined then that now! I'd only dump you off the mountain,' she chuckled, shifting her pack. 'Whats this place that we have to go to first anyway?'

Silver smiles saddly. "Its somewhere special for me. Its right over here." Silver walks into a small clearing, falling silent, setting down his pack and bow, walking to a small shrine set up in the middle on a large outcropping of rock. Kneeling in front of it, he takes a few small cones of incense from a pouch on his belt, lighting them and setting them on the incence plate of the shrine, bowing his head, lost in thought.

She waited quietly, a little way off. What was this place? It was the first time she had seen it, and she couldnt recall him mentioning it before. She rubbed her neck with one hand, fiddling with the pack straps. Should she ask him about it? She thought not, and let him have his quiet moment.

Silver stayed motionless for a few more minutes, before standing again, waving a hand over the incense, extenquishing it, and taking up his pack and bow again. "Sorry for the delay. Ready to keep going?"

She stood up from the tree stump she had found to perch on. 'Yup - all ready for you to carry me,' she said, trying to lighten the mood. She smiled. 'Lets get going.'

Silver leads the way again, confidently following forest paths in a south eastern direction, the pace a little faster than before, but still decent, as he stops from time to time to listen to the forest for any signs of dange. After a few hours, the trees start to thin out a little, and the ground gets rocky with lots of hills as they start to reach the foot hills of the mountains. Silver pauses a moment, digging out a map and compass, checking them both.

Sati took the time while he checked their heading to unstrap her water bottle. She drunk a little, motioning with it to Silver; 'Want some?'

Silver takes the water bottle, smiling a little as he took a sip "Thanks love. Just leaving the area i'm familiar with now, and I"m checking to make sure we are still headed in the right direction." Silver folds up the map, and puts it and the compass away. "Airi mentioned 2 distinct landmarks. one was a tree that grew up against a mountain that was tallet then the rest, and the other was a mountain with a split peak. We need to go in this direction" Silver points off in a slightly more southern direction. "There is a gully up ahead, and the only crossing is further south then our present path"
