Kamali yawned as he walked along the river bank, head held high and his body showing some confidence that he'd never posessed before. He really liked this area, he loved the water and the caverns behind the waterfall, and the waterfall itself! He liked being around Ashe and he loved the smell of the woods gently over riding the smell of fresh water. He smiled to himself, golden gaze flickering over the water.
Small specks of star-reflection seemed to glitter over the surface, appearing here and then there since the water never stayed still.

Ravii trotted down the riverbank, enjoying the song of the nearby falls. So lightly she danced upon the damp soil and mud, her pawprints were the only proof of her existance. The night was quiet, stars twinkling in and out in the heavens above.
Ravii indulged in the scene, pausing now and then to play in a puddle, or take a drink from the cool waters. She was feeling quite playful, and it showed in her body language. Occassionally the female paused to pounce upon a fallen branch, jaws ripping at the molding wood as if it were prey.
The night was young and the cream and violet female was sure to enjoy it. Night time was her favorite time of day. . . just her, the stars, the stream and the shadows.
As she continued to traverse further up the stream, closer to the falls, the female became all too aware of herself. Instinct and scent proved that she wasn't alone - pawprints not her own looked freshly made over the soil. A scent not her own lingered in the air.
Her playful attitude turned to caution as she continued on her way. A bit ahead of her, Ravii finally picked out what she assumed was the source of her caution - another wolf embraced by the shadows of the night.
As always, the cream furred wolf came to the crossroads of a decision - did she stay or did she go? Head ducking down, just to be safe, she broke through her barrier of silence. "It is lovely here, is it not?"
She kept her body language friendly though her tail stayed low and her grape-stained ears slightly back. As always, she was prepared to run if needbe. Perhaps he was one whom preferred his solitude.

Kamali blinked and suddenly slowed his walk, he slowed it to a stop and his head turned slightly left as if he was checking over his shoulder. He was completely still for one moment, but he realized that the voice had not seemed hostile or any sort of threat and the manner of the words were friendly too. "It is indeed. It's amazing here, have you been toward the waterfall?" He said calmly, his voice soft spoken but his words were strong. He turned himself fully around, golden optics gently moving along the brush and bushes, looking for his night time visitor.
He finally spotted the cream, paired with a rather lovely plum color. Though the purple only made him think of his long lost and well, who wanted to think of something so painful on such a calm night? Kamali should be thinking about things to come and how his life had been turned around, not about his past and how it had gone wrong.

As the wolf turned to face her, Ravii paused in her slow approach. As ever moving along the lines of caution, the cream female didn't want to do anything that would get her in trouble. Some wolves weren't necessarily happy to meet others, and she knew not the mint green wolves attitude. Ears still slightly back, and tail resting against her legs, Ravii took a moment to read in to the others words and body language.
He seemed relaxed enough, and was actually responding to her words. To be safe, though, she kept an amicable distance between them, not wanting to invade his space. Some were more touchy than others.
"I've visited a long time ago, I seem to recall, when I was much younger. As of my recent return to these parts, I can't say I've had the oppurtunity."
She wasn't old, but she had a little more experience then some of the young ones she'd crossed in her travels. She'd been gone for such a long time, it was good to be back home. Even if she wandered alone, the neutral lands of her puphood were a sore sight to see. More and more, the female was glad of her decision to return home.
"I'm Ravii."

"Kamali." He replied to her, bowing his head slightly. "I could walk with you toward the falls... it's an amazing sight, one should not miss it." His head tilted and he waited for her response. Maybe she did not want to go, maybe she wanted to slink off and be done with the whole encounter. Ah well.
"You said you grew up here?" he asked suddenly, as if he'd just heard it or something. He looked around slowly and smiled to himself. He'd grown up not so far from this place himself.

"A pleasure," she greeted Kamali cordially, good natured smile crossing her features. The caution that weaved throughout her body language more and more began to relax. He seemed pleasant enough, and the longer they talked, the less it seemed likely of an attack.
She didn't throw her guard down completely, but she was much more relaxed. To prove this, she trotted forwards, closer to the male. She wasn't going to assume dominance over him, but expected the same cordialness in return. They were on neutral grounds, and to Ravii, that made everyone equal and fair game.
At his offer, the light in her cerulean blue eyes seemed to dance. It wasn't that she couldn't figure out where the falls was herself - but a spot of company would be loverly! "I'd appreciate the escort. It's been a long time since I've run in to such open kindness," she explained, tail wagging lightly in delight.
Mingan had been the first, and had been pleasant if . . .different. But there were other wolves that lurked around this territory, and other wolves from her past that weren't nearly as relaxed and fair. A shame, really. Ravii thought everyone deserved a spot of kindness, but it was quite difficult to abide by such rules when one had such a nasty atittude.
The cream wolf gave a small laugh, ducking her head and pawing playfully at the ground. "I did, not far from here. The falls and the entire riverside was my playground," she admitted, thinking back to such foolish memories. She fell quiet, daydreaming, before giving a little grin, "It seems like such a long time ago. . . But there are many fond memories of this place."
Yes, this would always be home to her. And after a few years of traveling, of buncing from pack to pack, Ravii found she wasn't content to be without this area. Part of her wished she could recall her past playmates but . . . it was far too long ago. Faces, names, scents and colours all seemed to blurr together.

Kamali smiled lightly and chuckled at the compliment, shaking his head softly. "If to be myself is to be kind then so be it." He motioned in the direction he wanted to bring her and slowly began to walk that way, ears perked as he took in her words. "I lived by rivers also when I was young." Though his first true homeland had been invaided by two legs. He wouldn't mention that because it was a painful memory, and already he was pushing it from his mind. "Though it was not here, only close to this area."
"How does it feel to be back in this place?" He asked, curious. How would he feel going back to his birthlands? He shoved the thought away, frowning for just a moment. He shouldn't be thinking about that!

Ravii trotted after Kamali, bridging the distance between them. Catching up to him, she slowed her trot to match speed with him, blue eyes bright while she took in the scene before her. The female kept alert, nonetheless, just to play it safe. They were around water, therefor any number of creatures could be lurking nearby. Kamali was friendly enough - but there was a change others might not be nearly so.
"Well, be it here or elsewhere, we were both lucky to be able to call the rivers a playmate." And that Ravii believed to be true. Water was a source of life, and so many seemed to take its resourcefulness for granted. The fondness the cream female felt forr her homelands was obvious. It was where, as a pup, she'd grown up if not been birthed.
Ravii, in fact, had no recollection of who her family and pack were. Whether the memories were too horrid for her to recall, or she'd been too absent minded as a pup to store such memories, she knew not why. But as it was, it didn't matter. Who needed siblings when the entire forest, river, and plains were her family?
At Kamali's question, Ravii gave an infectious laugh. "How does it feel? It feels . . it feels wonderful, I must admit. I honestly have spent more time away from these parts than I have lived here. But something drew me back to these peaceful waters, something here entangled me so tightly that no matter how far I ran, I couldn't get away.
"There's something the reassures the sense, I suppose, something that's here that I couldn't find elsewhere." Ravii paused, glancing over at Kamali before giving another good natured chuckel. "I suppose that may sound a bit silly and over the top, I'm afraid, but . . it's the best way I can describe it."
The light waltz in her gait, the amicable aura that seemed to radiate off Ravii proved that her joy was true. It was a good feeling to be home - even if the river was the only one to greet her.
