Ok, as you know gaia is compatible with dice rpg's. I am going to give you a slight over veiw about them. For WoD we use a d20 or dice 20. In other words we use 20 sided dice. for instance I will do a 2d20 roll in this area after I am done posting. To keep this simple you use the two dice and not the total. Example: 2d20= 2 14<--use these total 16<--don't use this. In this roll I have one Success. To make a success you need a dice roll of 14+, two 14's like 14 14 is a double success, another way to double is rolling a 20 like so: 20 5. and if you are attacking you do double damage. Now as you know the dice go all thw way up to 20 so though rare you can get 20 20, which is a quad success. If you need to defend against a roll you must match or make a greater roll. for instance:

Gullan: 4 14<___attack

Athena: 5 14<----successful defence.

That defence just berely successed.

Athena: 13 18<___attack

Gullan: 6 18<---unsuccessful defence

The only way to defend against a 20 20 attack is to get 20 20 yourself.
