Feb 1, 2006 Dir en Grey is kicking off its first ever tour in America as a headliner. Their first show will be in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (which I will be attending) and they will then be crossing the states. The tour coincides with the release of their new album. heart heart
For those of you that get to see them, let us know what you thought about it. Even though we know it will be a great show no matter what. I'll let everyone know what I thought after I get back tomorrow. smile

=/ Eh, I was going to go... since they'll be in Baltimore which is like... 10 minutes away, but I doubt it will be worth the money. Their live preformances have, sadly, gone downhill. Dir en Grey just isn't what they use to be, and so I'd rather not waste the time or money on the "new' Dir en Grey. -__-

Okay, it is the day after the Dir en Grey concert. It was a 6 hour PACKED car ride (9 people in a suv that seat 6) Got there 1 1/2 hours early. Everyone in line was extremely rude and loud (Frickin Americans). But it was okay because I had some of my bestest friends with me. After we finally got inside I got some merchandise (a dvd, 3 preorders on the new cd, a sticker, 2 t-shirts, and some dog tags)
I found this really nice spot on the second floor right above stage right. It was sooo great. I was able to see Shinyas drum mirrors. After sitting (well standing) through the two acts before them, which weren't that great but have potential, I started getting really upset with the crowd.
This one tech was setting up Tachi's bass and had his back to the audience, and the audience started shouting 'Turn around, Turn around' as if it was him. stressed Then it just got worse from their. The idiots started yelling Kyo(which they mispronounced) instead of Kill (can you guess what the song was) when the first song started to play. evil
Outside of the audience being abunch of idiots the show was awesome. I am soooo happy that I went. Shinya was so cute and AWESOME. and the rest of the band just plain out kicked-arse. And after all was said and done 2 of my friends were able to go backstage and actually meet and talk to them. I was alittle upset that I couldn't but it made me happy that they were able to since their fandom is as big as mine.
After they got out from their encounter we crammed back into our car and started out long drive home. And as if to spite us alil (we were talking about if we were die at any moment on the way home that we would die happy and wouldn't care) we drove right into a storm at about 2:30 in the morning. The rains and winds were terrible making it extremely hard to see and blowing the car litterally from one lane to the next. (and we got a tornado warning all the way from where we were to our destination until 5 o'clock) Luckily we all made it home safely.
All in all, it was Great. If anyone else here goes I would love to hear what you thought, and saw.
