Now that the festival was over, DeArca began to pack up to join the caravan, however, someone didn't want the fun to end. "Hey Ash, time to get going" He asked, peeking around. "Ash?" He called again. Under his feet, hiding under the wagon just beside him was Ash as he gave a giggle. "Huh....there you are. Time to go" he said, reaching down as Ash laughed and dodged his hands, crawling under the wagon to the other side. "Hey Ash, no" He said, running to the other side as Ash gave a playful scream. "Ahahahaha! ^___^" He ran underneath the wagon again and DeArca crawled under after him. "Wait Ash" He said. Ash laughed and ran away a few yards and DeArca climbed out from under the wagon. "Ash....stay....still" He crept up and Ash crouched, giggling again. DeArca took one careful step after another and Ash laughed at each step. "Gotcha!" DeArca's hands swooped down for the grab but Ash made a big jump backwards and DeArca tripped falling to the ground. "Ooof..." He said and Ash laughed, having so much fun. DeArca rested his chin against his hand, tapping his fingers on the ground. "You little scamp..." he said and Ash smiled.

Rojiza had been hauling firewood, but stops to watch DeArca and a small boy. Wait. She starts, almost dropping her cargo. Is that...Ash? He'd grown, then! She sets down the wood and walks over, smiling. Marvelous for them.

"Ash! Stop!" DeArca ran after the little mouse boy again while Ash laughed, taking him for a run in circles as he jumped over a bush, but hid. DeArca caught his breath, approaching the bush as he put his hands to his hips. "Alright Ash...I got you" He said, going around the bush, seeing nothing???? "What?" He asked. "Hehehehehe!" A laugh sounded and DeArca turned to see Ash running off behind him. "How did he....nnn" He chased after him again. Ash saw Rojiza and raised his hand, waving at her as he ran.

Rojiza giggles at the spritely boy. She remembers her days of playing the chase with her mother. The smile spreads. She'd been quite a handful, before she could mostly take care of herself.
She continues to watch from the sidelines as DeArca chases the little mouse-boy around. Good luck catching him, she thinks. Mice are seldom caught by anything other than a trap.

Luck was definately needed for poor DeArca as he tripped once more to the ground and Ash got away quickly. "Hehehehe" Ash giggled, running right to Rojiza and hiding behind her. Laughing louder, her did his best to hide from DeArca, but obviously that wasn't going to help.

Rojiza smiles at the little mouse-boy and picks him up. She shifts her weight to one foot, creating a hip-shelf on which to perch the toddler. She wriggles her nose at him conspiritorially, then shrugs at DeArca sympathetically.

ASh kicked playfully and squirmed about, his tail wrapping on Rojiza's leg as it curled. He giggled and looked at her as he felt her hair. "Eeeee!" He chirped with glee, loving the feel. He was curious of her. He never saw her before so it was quite fun. He looked up and down, up and down, taking every detail of her into memory. "Weee"

Rojiza smiles, delighting in the feel of his tiny hands in her hair. She jumps as his tail curls around her leg--it tickles! And yet, through the delight of holding an infant child, Rojiza feels a thread of sadness. This child, no more than a babe, could already make talking noises. For the thousandth, millionth time, Rojiza tries to create sound from her lips. Nothing. Silence. Air.

"Pat Pat" He giggled, his hands patting her cheeks playfully and looked around. "Hehehe!" he saw DeArca watching them and Ash figured he didn't want to play so he wouldn't run....this time. He looked at Rojiza and nuzzled against her and then looked at her bushy tail. "Oooh!!!"

Rojiza smiles and strokes his hair. Children are amazing. She looks over her shoulder at whatever had interested Ash. Her tail. Ah. She smiles and twitches it back and forth.

Ash giggled, jumping down as he ran right behind her, his hands high in the air as he jumped for her tail as it swished about. "Weee....hahahahaha" He laughed loudly, trying to catch it as he hopped side to side.

Rojiza can't flick her tail back and forth as gracefully as a cat, so she tends to do it in spurts, sporadically. At least it made the game interesting for little Ash. Part of her is indignant at being used this way, but the majority of her is rather amused.

"Rawr" He gave a little roar as he jumped, grabbing her tail as he gave it a big tug, nuzzling his cheek against it because it tickled. "Hehehe...mine mine!" He said happily, looking up at Rojiza with big eyes of wonder. "Hehe"

The feeling of having one's tail pulled is evidently about the equivalent of having one's hair pulled by an infant: annoying, but not all that painful. Nevertheless Rojiza shoots Ash a look. Of course he can pet her furry tail, but not so much with the pulling. She cocks an eyebrow. His? Hardly.

Ash smiled, letting go as he widened his mouth in a yawn as he shook his head some. He rubbed his eye and moaned. "Sleepy weeepy" He said and laid down, hugging Rojiza's tail and cuddled it, sleeping with it as if it were just a large teddy bear.....awwwww
