:[ Name ]: Aysu :[ Gender ]: Female :[ Generation ]: One :[ Owner ]: Seiana_ZI :[ Personality ]: In brief, Aysu is a curious little naiad. She enjoys going on adventures with her sister, though she hopes the adventures never take her too far away from her mother's swimming pool. Unlike her sister, however, Aysu prefers the peace and quiet of a nice summer day (so long as it isn't too hot on the said summer day), and would much rather keep her mouth shut than interrupt such a tranquil time. Aysu also has developed a deep appreciation for beauty in all of its forms, and is drawn to beautiful things. :[ Likes ]: She likes sweet foods, adventures, her swimming pool, water, her siblings, humor, quiet, mirrors, beauty, and her hair and general appearance. :[ Dislikes ]: She dislikes spicy foods, grass, The Thing That Starts With A D (dictionaries), deserts, heat, anger, the color red, and ghost stories. :[ Weapons ]: Pae'il (c) Antidia

AYSU'S THOUGHTS ON OTHERS Seiana .....Seiana is my mama. She's really nice and she has this great swimming pool that I swim in all the time. She takes good care of me, too, and I love her. Without Mama, I would be very sad. Why does Esmée enjoy disobeying her sometimes?
Esmée .....Esmée's really cool. She's only a bit older than me, but she's really brave and adventurous. She's a bit demanding and bossy too, which is annoyin', but that's okay. I wish she'd skip the scary adventures, though.
Criofan O'Kane .....Evil little brother! I'll show you, stealing all of my pretty seashells... But I probably won't be able to. He's too lucky. Evil todd!
Amara .....She was a really odd spiky lady that I met on the beach when I was a todd. Amara kept asking my mama if I was a fish. I'm not a fish! Amara seemed fun, though. I wanna' meet her again!
Pretty, Tall Lady .....She's so tall and pretty... She warned against the forest, too, proving my point. But she had such a soft voice and she was so pretty! And she merged out of the water, too. Uh-huh!

JOURNAL Seiana o2.o5.o7
Quote: So, one day, I was walking with my little Esmée along the beach, and along the shoreline I found a washed up pearl. It was an interesting pearl. Most pearls aren't blue with neon green streaks, but this one was. So I picked it up! Why wouldn't I?
But this wasn't your run-of-the-mill oddly-colored pearl. Rather, as I soon found out, it was an egg! Apparently, Naiads, a type of Pae'il, start out as eggs, and I happened to find a spare one that was just left on the shore. How... odd.
But welcomed! I heard Naiads are very rare to find, and Esmée seems to like the idea of a pearl hatching into a pae, anyway. It's keeping her amused.
So, I dubbed the egg Aysu and am keeping it in the spare bathtub, in a clear plastic box filled with water. Yes, the tub is plugged. And I locked the door so mischievous little Esmée can't dare get in there without me.

JOURNAL Seiana o2.11.o7
Quote: So, today, I went in to go check on my Naiad egg. What did I find? Well, my girl has hatched! Aysu was sitting there, in all of her majestic beauty, flicking her tail around. Esmée was very excited, of course, and little Aysu seemed to be too. Yay, she finally hatched!
Lovely, isn't it?
I've moved Aysu to the in-ground pool in my backyard. ...Unfortunately, that means I have to spend a lot of time near the window or outside to keep her company. Then again, Esmée has taken to going outside and checking on her too. She finds it fun.
I may take Aysu out to the beach where we found her a few times. Might be a nice experience for her.

A Curious Type of Pae'il Aysu runs into a certain Hate Pae'il as she goes swimming in the water. Where?: Pages 2794 - 28o1 in the main threadTartara The fae of hate walked along the beachside, smiling lightly as she moved. Peace. Solitude. And no weird pae trying to make explosives. This, she liked. She stopped and looked out into the water, but was only reminded of her brother. A bad taste filled her mouth at the thought of Tristen. He had the backbone to tell her of his first kiss with sunny! Seiana_ZI This water was quite different than the water that Aysu had adjusted to at home. There were other creatures in it besides her sister, Esmée, Fernand the 'pengy', and her mama. She liked it! Never before had she seen such seaweed. Aysu swam to the bottom and plucked some of the seaweed out of the ground before swimming to the surface and waving it around. It was so green and pretty! Not bright green like some parts of her, though.
The sand glistened in the sun, and Aysu found it curious. It seemed to go on forever, ever gleaming, until... wait, who was that? The naiad tilted her head at the fae walking in the distance. Tartara The fae slowly blinked as something flashed in the distance. Was that....seaweed waving to her? No...no, it was a creature of some sort. She lightly frowned and walked up to the waters edge, feeling the cool liquid touch her toes slightly. What exactly WAS that thing? Seiana_ZI The curious pae'il came closer. She had wings, unlike Aysu. They were interesting wings; they reminded Aysu of those pretty butterflies that Seiana had showed her once. Butterflies didn't have spikey lines all over them, though. Ah well. Aysu swam a bit closer to Amara, but kept her distance, observing the woman. Could she come into the water like her, or did she have to stay that distance away? The fae woman certainly had her toes in the water which Aysu loved to swim in. Aysu tilted her head once again, wondering if the spikey woman would say anything to her. Tartara She lightly frowned as the thing swam closer. Seriously. What the heck WAS that thing? "Hello?" Amara softly called out to it, curious. She had never seen anything like it before Seiana_ZI It was talking to her! So it had to be another Pae'il, even if it didn't look at all like her sister or herself. Humans didn't seem to come in colors like the pae in front of her, and didn't have spikes all over them, after all. "Hallo!" The little naiad exclaimed, waving her little hand in the air, still full of seaweed. She then offered a big smile, revealing her tiny teeth. Tartara eek Praise the gaurdians it TALKED! It TALKED to HER! "What...what are you?" She murmered quietly, eyes narrowing in on it. Seiana_ZI The naiad thought of asking the Pae'il with big wings the exact same question. It was a Pae'il, but it was spikey and had butterfly wings. It was too late to ask the question, though, for Amara had already shot it at her. The little naiad knit its brows in mild confusion, before offering, "Mama said I'm a Naiad Pae," as proudly as the little toddler could. Tartara "A...naiad?" She went down into a crouch, ever inspecting the creature. "Are you some sort of...fish?" Amara wondered how tastey it would be. Seiana_ZI The little naiad giggled, shaking her head. "You silly! I'm not a fish. I... like a mermaid." With a decisive nod, Aysu launched out of the water to show her. She flicked her shiny naiad tail around before diving back into the water. Within a few moments, the blue and neon green pae came back to the surface. "I a Pae'il sorta like you." She was different, though, because she didn't have any wings... Tartara "Mermaids ARE essentially fish." Now Amara was hungry! "And I haven't seen a pae like you before... Wait. Did you come from an egg?" Seiana_ZI The little naiad shrugged when Amara said she was essentially a fish. She wouldn't always be like a fish! Someday, she'd be able to walk on land like this Pae'il in front of her... "Yuh-huh! I came from an egg dat looked sorta' like a pearl." Tartara Aha! She thought back to a couple months before on the beach, when she had found a weird pearl thing that randomly glowed. So Naiads were that....how odd. "Where's your mom?" She wanted more information about these...naiads. Seiana_ZI "Mama is getting some food from ona' those things." Little Aysu pointed over to a food stand in the distance. "She a human, no like me, but she nice," Aysu paused. What else could she say? Oh, "and stuff." Tartara Slowly she nodded. "I see...do you have any idea when she shall be back?" Amara tried giving her sweetest smile...though even she could tell that it probably looked horrifying from unuse Seiana_ZI That was a really weird smile. Aysu tilted her head at the smile, but didn't make any comments only because she didn't know how to word the comment correctly. "She walking dis way now." She pointed to Seiana in the distance. "Wanna' talk to her, then?" Tartara "Talk to her? I would love to." She spoke, the smile lessening to one that looked more...normal. Seiana_ZI Oh, yay, the woman was smiling like most people smiled now! The little toddler nodded, waving her seaweed in the air. "Mama!" All she needed to do to get her mother's attention was that. Seiana trotted right over.
"What is it, Aysu?"
"The pae lady wants to talk to you!" Tartara The fae turned to the human, extending a barb wired hand towards her to shake. "Hello, I'm Amara" Seiana_ZI Seiana was careful to avoid the barbed wire when shaking her hand. "And I'm Seiana." She assumed that she was called over because of her curious naiad 'daughter,' but didn't ask any questions yet. Aysu just watched in curiosity. Tartara "Sorry to have bothered you, but I was curious about your daughter. I've never seen a pae like this before." She shook her head, inwardedly grimacing at her kind words. Seiana_ZI Being kind would get her the answers she wanted, though. "Oh, Aysu? She's a type of Pae'il called a Naiad. They came from those eggs that washed on shore a few months back." Seiana nodded, leaning back slightly as she talked. Tartara She nodded. "I thought as much. Do you have any idea how they came to wash up on the shores?" Seiana_ZI Seiana rubbed her chin in thought. She had read up on the history of naiads so she knew more about her 'daughter.' Now all the caretaker had to do was remember what she had read about. "I believe there were some quakes sometime last year that buried Aion eggs and unearthed Naiad ones... or something like that. I believe it had something to do with why the Aions are extinct now." Tartara Thoughtfully she nodded. "Mmmm...and what exactly ARE naiads? Are they some sort of...ancient race? How were they here in the first place?" Seiana_ZI After taking another moment to reflect on what she had read and rubbing her chin as per usual when she thought carefully, she nodded. "Naiads are an ancient race, I believe." To make her statement a bit more solid, she added, "I read something about them existing before the angel and demonic types." Tartara Her eyes widened slightly. "Really... And what exactly ARE naiads? They look to be just...fish actually." Seiana_ZI "They are eventually able to walk on land. I believe she'll be able to when she reaches childhood thanks to a special necklace the Guardians give to the naiad pae'il. I suppose she does look sort of like a fish right now, though." Seiana chuckled. "A more beautiful, mermaid-type fish, of course." Tartara She lightly chuckled, nodding in agreement. "What do they eat too? Do they eat...seaweed?" Oh yes...Amara could be quite chatty when curious about something. Seiana_ZI "I've fed her the usual things regular Pae'il eat. She doesn't seem to mind them at all. And seeing how she'll be able to walk on land as a child anyway, I would assume her diet would be aligned with most others anyway. She seems to have an inclination towards seafood, though." Tartara "....seafood? Isn't that a bit like...cannabalism?" Amara asked slowly Seiana_ZI Seiana couldn't help her quiet chuckles. "Cannibalism? Nah, Aysu's not actually a fish, nor is she a shrimp or anything like that." Her 'daughter' may have been able to breathe in the water and swim in it, but she certainly wasn't a cannibal because she liked her shrimp. Tartara "but she's aquadic just like seafood. And who knows, maybe on some level she could communicate with them." Amara pondered this aspect Seiana_ZI Seiana scrunched her nose, looking at her daughter. Could she communicate with other sea creatures? The girl never said she could, so Seiana doubted it, but maybe some day... She shrugged. "Perhaps. I'm not sure if she can."
No matter if she could or couldn't, little Aysu was getting hungry. She quietly whined to Amara and Seiana to get their attention. Tartara Slowly she nodded, now reminded of eating a Naiad again. "Thank you...but now I should get leaving." Before I start trying to eat your daughter... Seiana_ZI Seiana nodded. "Very well. It was a pleasure to meet you, and I hope I managed to answer your questions." Little Aysu nodded admist her whines of hunger, very happy to have met the Pae'il with reddish butterfly wings and spikes. Of course, hunger soon outweighed her happiness, and she looked to her caretaker again to get her home where there would be some food. Tartara "Oh yes!" She nodded and started to walk away. The instant she was out of eye-sight, the pae threw up. Never again! Seiana_ZI Seiana lifted her Pae'il out of the water, transferring her into a cooler filled with water. The little Naiad girl giggled. "That was fun! ...Now, food!" Seiana chuckled at her pushy daughter, pulling the cooler out of the beach and towards her house which was not too far away. That had been an interesting meeting. She would have never expected a Pae'il with barbed wire all over her to be nice to her daughter and herself... but maybe she was just putting on a front.
Either way, Aysu had fun, and that was all that mattered. She wanted to see that Pae'il again!
