Muujiza's eyes swept the coast, staring fascinatedly as the waves rolled upon the sand, the spot where land ended and the far-reaching sea began. It was such a wonder for the green lioness, who had never seen any body of water larger than a simple oasis growing up so far from the sea. It so intrigued her that here, the water could simply stretch out forever and never end, as if the water could swallow all the land as easily as she would swat a fly, and it filled her both with wonder and wariness.
It had not been long since she and Juke had first set foot into the lands near the sea, and while she did love being in the steel blue lion's company, they had been travelling together for many days since they had first decided to join a pride together. She had awakened to find Juke had left her to her slumber and had gone to explore the land more, and so she had taken the opportunity to do a spot of exploring herself. And oh, how this land amazed her. She had seen nothing like it before, and she found she could stare for hours on end at the waves that rolled neverendingly upon the golden spotted sand and the water that moistened it.
Now, as she stood staring into the shallows, she found herself alone with too many thoughts - too many confusing thoughts - many of which revolved around Juke. She could remember the day she had first met him, and then the day he had brought the music of her beloved leaves back to her. The lioness's thoughts wandered to her curious love of leaves, the way they swayed and sang out to her as no other thing ever could, or would. For so long before she had met up with Juke for that second time had the song been gone. She had simply woken up one day to find that she no longer heard the gentle lifesong that got her through each day. And she had felt as if she were fading away slowly... The lioness winced at the thought of having to relive those horrible days, and shuddered. But then Juke had brought it all back, made the music dance in her ears more vibrant and alive than it ever had been. The lioness felt a sigh rattle through her. She felt that same flutter in her heart as she always did when she thought of dear Juke, and she wondered, too, why it was so.

The sway of the sea had lulled her to sleep, and in it's own right, woken her again. Well, not the ocean itself, or even where she was. It was the familiarity. She'd grown by the ocean as a child, and spent her adolescence and adulthood, mostly, away. Leboya had seen the world, and, upon experiencing life in as well of a way as she could have, returned to the ocean that had been a place of death for her parents.
Leboya had brought new life back with her. Four beautiful children, all of whom she loved dearly. They were her young ones.
But even she would leave their sides when the time called for it. And early in the morning and awake seemed to be one of those times, as the jellyfish lioness had risen without a word to her young, and gone on her way, out to sit by the water, and listen to the water lull in it's own soothing manner.
"Home..."
She mulled a bit, and smiled.
Yes. This was home, though different. It was this ocean she'd grown in, and by. The ocean...

Muujiza stopped as she saw a shape in front of her. A striking contrast with the scenery around her, sitting by the water's edge and, presumably, listening to the steady beat of the water, which Muujiza too had started to hear clearly. The rather familiar shape of a lioness, although the green lioness knew she had never met this purple lioness before.
She hated to intrude on the other's alone time, but her curiosity overcame her, and she padded forward once more toward the purple lioness. "Hello," She called out softly. She had learned that others could be startled all too easily, and she didn't want to have to pay for her own words if she didn't have to.

It would seem nothing would startle Leboya, however, as she opened her bright red eyes and turned her head, almost leaning it against her shoulder, to look at the other lioness who roamed the beach that day.
A bit of a smile appeared on the lioness's maw, and she lifted one paw to motion for the stranger to come sit with her. Leboya was very trusting, to say the least.
"Good day to you." she called back, her voice gentle and welcoming. There was a good reason that being a mother had come naturally to her, even when the kids themselves had been unexpected, to say the least.
"The beach is a lovely place to walk in the morning, even with all this haze from the water." Leboya mused. Her voice seemed to stay in a sort low, yet warm, tone, and it never grew loud enough to be counted as a 'shout' or a 'yell'. Not even a baby one. "It's not often I see another out while I'm undistracted by the guppies."

Muujiza had an instant liking for the brightly colored lioness. She took up a seat beside her. "Good day," She greeted with a smile. "The beach really is lovely." She agreed as she watched the waves creep up the sand, and then fade away, only to come again, as if it were trying to reach its way beyond the beach itself.
Then the lioness turned her gaze to the sky, where the sun had risen past halfway to its peak. Often, she had woken early to wander, and it didn't quite seem to her that it was early. It most probably wasn't, she decided, the purple lioness meant something else. "The guppies?" She asked, wondering what they were. She had never seen guppies before, and wondered - as she had many times she she had arrived - if they were as harmless as they looked.

Leboya agreed fully. "It always has been." she said in a sort of sryptic manner, but it gave a bit of foresightt that Leboya had been to the ocean many times, even without having lived in the beached-area. As the water moved back and forth, the brightly colored lioness reached out with a paw now and then to investigate some shell of a sort that had been reveiled by the waves.
She had one underneath her paw, when the other lioness spoke in inquiry, causing her to look from the shell, to the one next to her. "... Oh!" she seemed to come to a sudden realization of why her own statement of 'guppies' had been so confusing.
"The guppies is what I call my children." she explained, laughing a bit in embarassment. "I have four. They're beautiful. Most took after their father, though." Leboya seemed to smile a bit as she said it, rolling the shell she'd been keeping a firm hold on to rest by her feet. It had a lovely pink-esque hue, speckled with a series of pale blue spots. "Neoni, my oldest daughter, would like this one. She loves shells."

"Ohh, children!" Muujiza smiled and gave a small nod. Ever since she had first met Juke and he had told her he wanted to find a mate and a pride to settle in, and eventually have cubs, dreams of baby lions has flitted in and out of her sleep. And sometimes, dreams of green and steely blue babies too.
The green lioness looked down at the shell, pearly pink with pale blue speckled on it. It looked quite exotic, and Muujiza tilted her head curiously at it. She had seen plenty of shells littered all over the beach, and yet whenever she came to a stop to study one, she never found any of the answers she looked for. What were they? What were they for? Why were they there? Questions unanswered roiled through her mind annoyingly every time she saw a shell, and it bugged her to no end. "What are they for?"

"For?" Leboya laughed a bit, not in the sense of 'I can't believe you don't know', but rather in a 'that's an interesting question' sort of way. "I've never really thought about it. Shells used to be homes for creatures of the sea. Now and then they discard their homes. Whether it be to die, or to move to a new place. They leave peices like these for us, however, who may find a good use for them. My daughter sports herself a necklace she takes great pride in with such things on them."
The jellyfish marked lioness considered this for a minute, before nodding and turning the shell over again, admiring it.
"It's a skill my mother taught me, that she wishes to learn from me when she's older." Leboya explained, then, in pausing, came to a sudden realization.
"Oh! I never introduced myself. I'm Leboya. I'm one.. well.. currently I think the only, nanny of the pride." she explained.

"Oh." Muujiza said, blinking and wondering why animals would wish to abandon their homes to die and leave them for others to take. Although, she agreed, a necklace of these shells would indeed be a beautiful thing. She stared down at a shell that lay between her paws, and reached out to gently paw at it. The gesture unearthed the half buried shell. The green lioness brushed at the sand, and the shell gleamed a faint pastel pink in the day.
The lioness looked up at the introduction. "Oh! You're a part of the pride! I think you're probably the first lion I've met since coming here who was a part of the pride," She said with a nod. "I'm Muujiza. I came here with my friend Juke, and we were thinking to join the pride. But we've yet to meet the King and Queen."

Leboya admired the newly unearthed shell and smiled. So many that Neoni would love so much to have. She'd have to take the children shell hunting again sometime.
"Yes.. I was born by the ocean and left with my siblings when the pride was endangered." she explained, but listened as Muujiza introduced herself and spoke of a friend whom had came with her into the pride, as well as the chance of staying. Leboya's expression seemed to shift ever so slightly, almost keen on the idea.
"I'm sure you'd enjoy it here." the brightly colored lioness said sagely, then considered the talk of the queen and king.
"Ah, Tamba and Mlinda. I would say you should speak with them whether you decide to stay or not. They're a lovely pair and very social." she explained and smiled a bit, nodding.
Then again.... "The pride has some things to overlook at times, however, such as how far one must wander for drinking water. That was the first thing I had to teach my little ones about living here."

"I'll definitely keep that in mind," Muujiza said with a smile and an accompanying nod. She had wondered what the king and queen of this seaside pride were like since the day she had first set foot onto the sandy beaches, and now that Leboya had said they were very nice creatures, she believed her, and it made the green lioness want to talk to them all the more.
The lioness grinned at the mention of travelling far for drinking water. "Because you can't drink the seawater?" She stared out at the waves, wondering why it was so, for ever since Shimah had told Juke and herself that seawater was not drinkable, she had not taken the time to try it and find out why for herself. And she wondered why it existed if it was not to be drunk.

"Correct. The water is too salty for us to gain sustenance from. However, many other species of creatures live in the water and can thrive there." the jellyfish lioness explained, almost as if knowing the thoughts of the other lioness when she spoke, smiling a bit.
"But I don't mind. There are many wonders that accompany the water." the brightly colored being explained.
"Then again, the water is a dangerous place to be. Cubs can be swept away quite easily if an eye isn't kept on them. The water is a peaceful sight, but a violent mistress if given the opportunity, see?" she explained, before rising up to her paws.
Looking to her new friend, Leboya bowed her head a bit.
"Have you seen the river that feeds into the ocean near here? I could show it to you if you'd like." she suggested, seeming to be more than happy to show the green lioness around.

"It's more salt than water?" Muujiza blinked, surprised. How could the water not be drinkable, and yet still be a home to other animals. The true nature of the world was beginning to baffle her somewhat, and she decided that land was much better company. At least there was no chance of being swept away and drowned when all four of her green paws were planted on dry land. Although she had to admit, the beauty of the beach had captured her and most probably would never let her go.
The green lioness shook her head. "I haven't seen the river. I'd love to," She said eagerly. For the past few days she had been drinking from a strange large puddle she had found. She had yet to feel comfortable enough in this land by the sea to wander too far, and although she had learned to adapt swiftly through all her years of living and wandering alone, whenever she encountered something entirely new, she always liked to take the time to ease into the transition. But visiting the river would be good. With Leboya with her she knew her mind would be put at ease and that she had little chance of getting lost. And she wouldn't had to drink from the big puddle again if she knew the way to the river.

She nodded, moving slowly as she walked as to not leave Muujiza behind. It was a pace she'd grown accustomed to quite easily, though it was faster than normally. She wasn't waiting on four sets of tiny legs to keep up with her. Just one lioness whom was of, roughly, the same size as herself to do so.
"There are many things one looks out for along here. Sometimes things will wash up onto the shore that you shouldn't touch." she warned. "Dead or not, they can sting, or carry a disease, or what-have-you." Leboya explained, her paws sinking into the sand to leave her large pawprints in the shore.
She seemed to know quite well where she was going, though even then, it was taking forever to get to where they were going, and Leboya had started to hum to prevent a silence from coming over the two of them.
"So what brought you to our shore?" Leboya inquired, tilting her head to the side to look at her companion.

It had never occurred to her that perhaps the beach brought things onto the shore. The thought that pieces of disease-ridden junk washing up all over the beautiful beach terrified her. She had never before encountered anything that could sting, or that really carried diseases, and so she had no idea how to handle the news. Her pale eyes widened slightly as she followed along with Leboya.
As the bright lioness began to hum lightly, Muujiza felt her tail start to twitch a little to the beat, and rhythm rode into her steps. The green lioness felt herself smile. Influenced by Juke, no doubt, that she had began to recognize tunes and beats and reacted to them, although she had yet to find a song that drove more music into her being than that of nature and her beloved trees.
"Oh, well, Juke and I... no, Juke, he wanted to find a mate and find somewhere to settle down," She began, her mind going back to that fateful first day when she had first met Juke and he had explained what he wanted. "Then later on we met again by chance and his idea was starting to get to me a little, so we started to travel together and kind of wandered here." She nodded. "Yea. I guess we just both really like it here, otherwise we most probably would have wandered on long ago."
