Oh gosh, how do I start?
I met my bf online... I know I'm gonna get bashed for doing such a thing and please do not flame/bash me without further info on that topic which I shall not talk about just yet... Anyhooo, My bf who's name is Roth (changed name) says he's a Christian yet he has piercings, wants a tattoo and his life is BAD, bad beyond for anyone to fathom.
We've been talking about meeting up and how he'll meet my parents later but we're talking about marriage and if we might go for it sometimes but my parents are strict, and if he does meet them then I WANT them to understand him and get to know him, once glance at him right now and they'll cage me in my room! They don't wanna see a guy with earrings or freakish tats all over him, with all do respect I understand their concern but Roth is such a nice guy you wouldn't believe it! I need help to talk to him, I want him to see that there's more to life than apearance but I'm afraid he'll get mad and ignore me. I need advice/help to talk him out of hurting his body, the Temple of GOD for the love of Heaven! He almost committed suicide one time while at Cali. he told me about his life and how everything hurt and how he'd rather die than live... He almost did it without a second thought. It took hours and tears just for him to put the thought aside.
Just, help me please, if you can. I need TRUE help here people.
And if I get "Dump him." then I'll say this, I love him and I DO NOT want to hurt him anymore. All the girls and boys he's around hate him, please have a heart and don't think he's EMO or he's "f*cked up" or any of that stuff!

Well, I definatly don't think that there is anything wrong with piercing or tattoos, considering my friends, and myself have quite a few of them. I believe that it is an artistic expression and that God loves us just as much as the people without one little mark on thier bodies. And just because he tried to kill himself before, does't neccisarily mean that he is going to try it again. That was the past. This is the present. And you are in his present. Talk to him about it and get him to think about all of the wonderful things h has done for people and all of the people that love him. Don't give up on him or his s**t because you don't think your parents will aprove. It's your life. God gave us all free will and wants us to exercise it. And no matter what the outcome - good or bad- it doesn't matter to God. And you will never have to apologize for anything that happened, because God has nothing to forgive. Nothing you do can possibly hurt Him. Just follow your heart and listen to God. And about your parents - if they like him, great! If they don't, work on them or tell them to shove it up their a**.
