(( Continuing from page 15 of the RP thread. X3 ))

Pyromia's steps were quick and steady, yet even so anyone could keep up. Gingitsune followed closely beside Liam and behind the two alphas, ready to help out where needed. She wasn't sure how well the first-timer would do on a hunt this big, but she was determined not to let Liam get hurt. One bad experience would be enough to keep anyone from helping in the hunt again. "Take it easy, Liam. I'll watch your back," she said, winking.

Kouya no Kiku held up the rear of the pack, scanning all around them as she moved to pick up on any little thing that may be of a hinderance to them. Her eyes repeatedly darted behind her to check on any unsuspecting predators, but always came up empty. She could smell the caribou on the air and could tell they were getting closer, her mouth watering with the taste caught on her senses. She didn't realize until now just how hungry she was!

MoogerMint snickered at Fantasy's comment and ruffled her hair in jest. "Don't worry about it; it's in a mother's nature to worry about her kids, right? Well, these guys are just like kids," she said matter-of-factly, with laughter still on her voice. "As for that hunt, I'm sure that my kids will take good care of him," she stated, sticking her tongue out playfully.

MoogerMint laughed at Donoma's reaction to being placed on the floor as she shook her head. What a drama queen! But the sight of the other pups drawing nearer switched her focus and she grinned. "Who are you two cuties?" she asked, crouching down with her hands on her knees.



The bloodied duo continued on their wobbly way, panting heavily from the long journey they had travelled. Satinka knew they would have to find some food soon or else they would only get worse, but he didn't know if now was a good time. "Maybe we should find somewhere to stay for the night, Dream. It's going to be getting dark soon. After we do that, I'll go search for a rabbit or something to eat, okay?" Satinka offered the ribbon-marked female.

Dream Seer forced a nod from her lolling head, giving the pink male a lick on the cheek for being so kind to her. It made the youth jump slightly, but he accepted it for her gratitude, knowing how much she needed it. "I just hope we come across someone soon..." he murmured to her, a weak smile on his bloodied features.

Gingitsune giggled at Liam's acceptance of her, glad he was so eager to learn. If a wolf wasn't ready to take on something so vital to their survival, chances are they weren't going to last long on their own, and she knew it.

Pyromia kept on his toes, knowing that his "sister" Kouya no Kiku was keeping an eye out for them but still ready himself for anything happening. They were gaining ground quicker than he had expected them to, and he felt they would have plenty of time to head back to the others with the meat in their possession before sundown. He turned to Bryson as he spoke, low enough so only the other alpha could hear. He nodded, happy to note the other was excited over the hunt. "We're almost there, stay on your toes!" he whispered back, smelling the elk's scent get even stronger in the air.

MoogerMint laughed at Fantasy's response to her ruffled hair, sticking her tongue out in a razzing manner. However, she was ready for Kachina's tackle and snatched her up into a hug as she licked her face. "Hello, Kachina! My, you are quite friendly!" she giggled, feeling the young wolf's tongue tickle her skin.

Leaning her head sideways a bit, she watched as Donoma pushed Wayra closer to her in welcome. She smiled at him, knowing how to deal with others like this. "Well, you don't have to meet me if you don't want to, but I'm sure you'd like a few allies on your side, yes? Anyway, I'm sure you will get along great with my friends, especially Mikadzuki. It's nice to meet you," she explained, trying to get him to feel more comfortable around her through talk.

Kouya no Kiku slowed in her steps as she realized how close they were to the herd of caribou, following the others in movement. Pyromia had signalled to the others to slow down, and stopped after a bit. They were just up ahead, only tens of yards away, and the pack of them were downwind and at the advantage. He turned around, giving a smirk to everyone as he quietly said, "Okay, here is where tactics come into play. We need to strike a single target at a time to be able to take them down, and we need to surround said target before we strike. We are going to need to spread out and when Bryson gives the word," he indicated the other alpha with a nod, giving him the opportunity to lead a large pack, "We will strike. Now we need to pick one out, is everyone ready?" He turned to Bryson, giving the alpha ample time to back out of this responsibility if he so desired.

Gingitsune found herself alternating the weight on her front feet, getting antsy over the hunt. She was excited, and hungry, and couldn't wait to sink her teeth into real meat again. "Be ready, Liam. This is where we come into play," she explained, telling him subconsciously that she would help him out.

Dream Seer flopped to the ground, panting heavily in all her excertion over the past few days of gaining ground over their pursuers. Her eyes closed and head between her front legs, she tried to relax even though her body was crying out for help and her cuts stung at her nerves. Satinka sat down beside her, worry flooding over him. It had only been days since they had escaped that nightmare, but it wasn't over yet. They couldn't stop, even in this weakest of times. "Hold on, I'll go try to catch us something to eat, okay? Stay put," he directed, wandering off to find something small for a youth like him to catch. He could smell the herd of caribou nearby, but figured that was much too dangerous for him. Instead, he tried to work around them, looking more for a rabbit or something.

Thinking carefully, he wanted to pick out a bigger caribou, but one small enough to take down. Soon he spotted a huge caribou with a limp grazing. "Perfect. Thats the one over there." He gestured to the limping caribou thought about the attack. "I think we should seperate by two surrounding that one caribou, but it will be hard with all the other caribou in the way. Get down low around it staying in the tall grass. Pair with someone and we'll start to surround them. When I give you then mark we'll just lunge at the one. I'll go for the throat." Getting into position he layed low waiting for everyone to get into pairs and waiting for the right time give mark.

Gwen bounded to Sora pouncing on him. "It's play time Sora!" She licked his muzzle. "Come on!"

"Play! Play! Play! We're bored come on! Your supposed to be watching us! So play with us!" She as well hopped on Sora and started to bite his ear.

Twtiching from irritation he suddenly got up knocking Gwen and Raia off. "I'M TRYING TO SLEEP! COME ON YOU GUYS! ALPHA PYROMIA AND BRYSON WILL BE BACK SOON SO JUST CHILL!" He panted deeply and grinned. "You must be punished!" He started tickling them without break. Then he leaped over to Ketou and Dewlust and tickled them as well. "Bwahahahaha!"

"We will!" says Gwen. She looked a bit guilty thinking about how they almost jumped. She stretched and layed down next to Sora putting her head on his back.

Raia keeps on laughing from the tickling. "Hahahahahah! I give up! I give up!"

"Not a chance." He continued tickling Raia, Ketou and Dewlust until he got tired and rested his head on his paws. "I'm getting to old for this."

"Your not old. You just need a littles rest." She smiled.

FireFly relaxed near the opening of his own little den near the top of a hill overlooking the valley. He could see the packs' movements and smiled, watching them contently. Though he was fully capable of handling his own pack, he had yet to seek members for it. He preferred to relax and let those who wished to pack with him find him in their own time.

As FireFly watched, a dark shadow passed over him. He squinted in the sun to find its cause and soon heard the swoop of large wings. With a thump, a Lupus Avian, bigger than FireFly and full of shades of brown and tan almost landed on top of him. With a yelp, FireFly leapt out of the way, growling at the intruder.

"Aww, come now, brother, can't have scared you that badly," the Avian said, smirking.

"Daniel!" FireFly said, shocked to see his younger brother.

"In the fur," Daniel said, folding his wings. "At least mostly."

"What happened?" FireFly asked, head cocked as he studied Daniel. "Have the Avians returned?"

"To an extent, we're breeding again if that's what you mean." Daniel sat on his haunches. "Someone's found the potions, the old ways of change."

"I thought those had been lost..."

"They were, but now they're back. And Avians are starting to pop up all over the valley. I've seen them from the skies and I've come to make sure everything is going well." Daniel grinned again, toothy and excited. "Maybe help make a few of my own..."

FireFly, having heard Dream Seer coming, was none too surprised when she finally made it to the top of the hill. He smiled a little at her shock and patiently waited for her to compose herself.

Daniel, on the other hand, had been too involved in their conversation to notice the new Wolfie until she could almost touch him. He jumped back, scared and defensive, letting out an Avian growl that had bits of a predatory birds' scream.

"Who are-"

"Ignore my brother," FireFly interrupted. "He's an idiot." Daniel snorted, feathers throughly ruffled. "I am FireFly, you have come to speak with us?"
