it's traditional to play for football, basketball, and a few other sports. but does your team 'suck'? do the cheerleaders ever take your spotlight? do you rarely ever finish a song? or do the students even acknowledge you?
well here's a place to tell your stories, rant, or give ideas on how to slove these problems.

oh yea. at basketball games, the audience and people look at us like "why are those people making noise? i cant hear the cheerleaders!"

We try to play a song, only to be interrupted by the cherleaders. they cut us off every time! and they get almost all of the half time to "preform"....... stare

We perform at, NO SPORTS TEAMS.
We ARE the sports team.
ahha the joys of drum corps.
We get all the spot light, for our whole show
No Cheerleaders, no football game, no nothing.

we play for whatever they need us for...once we played for the Speacial Olimpics...we normaly don't get acnoleged because we've got a rep for playing olf movie songs, last year was Blues Brothers, and we've even been called the reason why our Football team sucks...i still say we more than compensate for them

our football team sucked this year. and we only really got paid attention to at halftime. thats why if i get the chance i want to go out for the Cadets. but our basketball team is good and we rarely get to play. but hey we're there and we have fun so its all good. our band has a really high reputation for excellence so we always try to uphold it

Our football team is actually pretty good, but they're all jerks. I'm not even going to discuss what happened when they were off to the side of the field while we were trying to do our show.
At Pep Band, it's a whole different story. Our basketball team is good, but nobody really caers about the pep band.

Hahah. We only play for football games.
The cheerleaders can't do anything without the band.
They're always asking the drumline to play for them so they can do a certain cheer.
But drumline doesn't listen to them so they have to ask the hornline to use their connections. :3
The football teams doesn't even acknowledge our existance. Not that it matters to us. =|
Except that one time where we did that prank on senior night...
We still cheer for them though, y'know?

We play at foot ball and basketball games. Once, last year, a parent asked for the band to be moved off the 50, because we were "too loud". The administration moved us to one side, so we pointed towards the audience and played extra-loud. We were back to the 50 the next game. wink The cheerleaders tried cutting us off at halftime once, but we just played over them. The teams appreciate us though, which is nice. I guess that's not always the case.

uggghhhhhhh our football team one only 1 game last year! The band and the cheerleaders are friends at our school so they rlly dont take all the spotlight... its mstly us

marching band plays for football games.
my freshman year the team was really good, went to states i think.
i don't remember how they did sophomore year, and this year they just sucked.
but the football team appreciates us being there and cheering them on.
1/2 the cheerleaders ARE in band, so there's no problems with them.
as for basketball, it's mandatory that everyone in the sit down band classes come together for "pep band" at every b ball game. our basketball team did really well this year, so that was a plus. we get really loud cheering wise, and our team loves us for it. the cheerleaders, again, have some girls from band in their ranks, so there's no problems. they even have a cheer where they come over to our bleachers and we do a cheer with them. we play a lot before the game actually starts, during time outs, and we get a good chunk of half time. the opposing team's cheerleaders hate us because we overpower their sound. we've had conflicts on multiple occassions with the other cheerleaders. lol

Our football and basketball teams are actually fairly good. Both teams have made playoffs almost every year, and our football team made it to semifinals the past two years. We only play for football games, though. As for the cheerleaders, they don't really get in the way. Most of the time you can hear the other team's cheerleaders on the opposite side of the field better than you can hear ours.

haha. people come to the football games to hear the band yell at the other band. cause our football team sucks...royally...last seasonw e lost our first game 6-78

Wow, that's just like our team. they only won a grand total of 2 games all season. *sigh* non of our teams are really any good. the only 'sport' that wins is the band. but nooo, the band is "stuuupid" and "borrrrring".
chh, scream well you get out here and try it! grrrrrr, a little appriciaton would be nice.......
