So i finally got to the store to buy reeds. I got a pack of altos and an oboe reed too. Anyway, I was there to get a piano book > < when I remembered about that tenor I need to buy
Asked the guy for used tenors. They have used student yamahas and used vitos.
I hate vitos > <
Me and vito saxs don't mix, idk, i like their clarinets, but not their saxs.
I asked for a yamaha, cuz I have a student alto from them too, it'd be an easier transition.
The yamaha was a little less than a thousand dollars > <
Ok, so he said he has a deal. They have a buescher that was overhauled, so her price has dropped down to about five hundred, some guy is looking at her, but in a week, if she doesn't get bought, she's up for grabs
How do you think that buescher (spelling) is? I've never played one.
Anyway, I'm gonna call more stores tomorrow. Hoping for a flightcase, gig bag thing if the case isn't so great. Or just anyway, I'd appreciate a small and easy to tote case...
hmm, and a meyer 5 for my tenor. Then i just need one for my alto
maybe i'll see if they have any metal pieces for me to try ^^
I'm excited

Buescher horns are pretty good horns if you ask me. The Aristocrat is one of the common ones out there and has many variants and types. What kind is it that your thinking of buying? For that price it sounds like the Aristocrat student model which is a fine instrument. I used to play on one in highschool it was owned by the school it had a strange feel and the keys were set differently from what i was used to but it played awsome! I guess it's up to you if you want to buy it if it's been overhauled i'd say it was a good buy. that is if the overhaul was done correctly get a mouthpiece out there and try it out for yourself i guess.

this is the shop i go to regularly ^^ and I'm happy with their repairs and overhauls
so you think this is an old student aristocrat?
idk, as long as the action isn't so bad, and it sounds nice
oh, and is cheap enough for me to feel ok about buying a meyer for her too.

thast really awesome that you're second in line for a tenor of your own. ^_^ i still want one that isnt a school instrument cuz those arent always in the best conditions and teh dotn always sound the best xp but i guess that i can deal with them until i have enough money to get one of my own. oh well
