Xran paced unhappily to and forth, staring at the uphill trail every once in a while. It had been a few weeks ever since the young shaman had left the hatching grounds and lately.......things had not been going his way.
For one thing, the poor youngling had been seeing this strange apparitions everywhere; some even attempted to speak with the dragon! Now.....he was just trying to get away from them.......
Flopping down from stress of the mind and physical exhaustion, the red youngling let loose a loud keening noise; it echoed across the empty mountain air.

In a shabby little clearing littered with funny shaped rocks and bones from various types of animals - most unidentifiable – hunched a shaggy and rather dirty man. His age was unidentifiable for although his face was wrinkled and his hair grayed his physique was that of a much younger man. Maybe it was all the time spent in the wilderness. Either way, his senses were still keen enough to hear the echoing cry that managed to make its way up towards where he lived.
His thick brow furrowed in thought.
“That’s no animal,” he said, shuffling about until he reached a staff that was propped against the side of the rock cliff, “I go see.”
With the practiced ease of someone that had tracked and clubbed many small animals before Gorknik made his way through the familiar terrain in the direction the cry had come from. It would be difficult to pinpoint the exact location but hopefully he could get close enough to pick up some sign of whatever creature had blundered into his territory.

Grunting with the effort, the red dragon tried to go vertical and pull himself onto the next ridge. Unfortunatly for him, every action comes at a cost; he squealed at the white-hot pain as a sharp stone cut into the area just below his wing-stubs.
This caused him to loose his grip on the shale rock, forcing the youngling to return to his previous starting point.
Giving an annoyed and pain-filled blort at the rocks, the creature hobbled up the mountain slope the old-fashion way until......
A sharp, rancid smell invaded his nostrils, causing Xran to sneeze and cough, trying to rid himself of the unpleasent aroma.

A head appeared from over top of the ridge, staring down at the dragon. It appeared to be some sort of... two-headed creature. The face looked human, only shaggy with dark and greasy hair, and on top of that head was another one. Smaller, with long ears, empty eyesockets, and it was definately the source of hte rancid odor.
"A godling!" the creature cried, "I am most honored by your presence, young diety!"
And he scrambled around on the rock, climbing halfway down it with practiced ease and extended his staff the rest of the way. It was thick knotted wood with a stone set in the end. Cord was tied around the top and small bits of bone dangled from it.
"Come, grab hold, I take you and give you feast and tribute. It has been too long since the gods have blessed me with their magnificence."

Xran gave off a series of peeping noises when this creature shoved a stick in his direction. Glancing up, he found the source of the aroma from a bit earlier; a dead animal was perched on this things' head.....and from the looks of it, it had been there for a while.
Casting a look of agitation between the creature and the stick in his face, Xran finally decided to vent his frustrations; the stick being his target of choice. He pounced, biting down on the tough wood and clawing at the cords and bones dangling from the top.

(posting from this account cause I'm too lazy to log into Dragon-Bound)
As soon as Xran's claws latched into the staff Gorknik hauled it up until he could snag the dragon's mane, where it ended at the shoulderblades and was the least painful, much like the scruff of a cat's neck. He heaved the dragon up to the top of the cliff in one quick moment and then spent a moment clinging to the ledge, getting his breath back.
"Godling is heavy," he said, "No worries. Cliff top safe. I be up in a moment."
