I'm not kidding. I'm not exaggerating. This truly is one of the best series. Ever.

I've gotten at least half of my friends into this manga series, because it is so good. I am the lender to my friends the entire series, and they love it so much they buy themselves to read at home. They are estatic fans of it and squeal almost as loud as I do whenever I present the newest volume to them in my hands.

So, if you must find a new series to pick up, pick up the manga W Juliet.

I've fallen in love with all the characters. The story is so beautiful and the characters are so lovable. When you finish reading a new volume, it leaves you refreshed and hopeful.

Let me give you a summary, if it has interested you.

The main character is Ito Miura, a very athletic tomboy who quite literally, looks just like a boy. Seriously, you couldn't tell her from a boy when you first see her. And the second main character is Makoto Narita, a boy who comes to Ito's school dressed like a woman.

Makoto isn't weird! He isn't. He goes to Ito's school because he wants to be an actor. His strict father does not want him to be an actor and wants him to take over the family dojo instead (sounds pretty cliche at the moment, doesn't it? But it gets much more interesting). So, they work out a deal. The deal is that if Makoto can graduate high school as a woman with no one finding out (because only a real actor can pull this off--as his father says) he is free to do whatever he likes after he graduates and is no longer obligated to take over the family dojo.

So, on the first day of enrollment, he is found out almost immediately by Ito. She doesn't give away Makoto's cover, but agrees to keep the secret safe. The series grows along with their relationship as well as the troubles they encounter over the way.

And that's it. That's all I'm giving you.

It is a truly beautiful series. One that should be picked up by everyone. I also think that one of the best qualities about this series, is that it isn't over hyped like many others. The story, the characters, and the beautiful artwork speaks for itself. The authoress is such a lovely lady as well, it's so much fun reading through her comments she sticks into the pages in between!

I strongly, strongly reccommend that you pick up this title. You won't be disappointed!

And right now, W Juliet has finished its series with 14 volumes. (I just finished reading it all! whee But oh so sad that the series ended. The last volume was so good! I teared up quite a few times... ^^;; )

HOWEVER. This next paragraph is for me.

I JUST FOUND OUT THAT W JULIET II WAS RELEASED IN JAPAN IN DECEMBER! OH HAPPY DAY! WONDERFUL! SPECTACULAR! It will be a while before it's translated, but I will be waiting for it fervently until I do see it. Oh my aching heart. crying I am so happy to know this. I will tell my friends to-morrow. *BIG LUVY SIGH*

Miss Sushii likes crossdressing mangas a lot, she'll look into this as soon as she gets the money for it! ^w^
