i was having an online chat with a friend i don't talk much with anymore. and i told him i was jealous of him. he didnt' take me seriously really
anyways, the reason i'm jealous is that i see how he's grown emotionally and mentally. he has determination, and the will to go on. also he's a very bright person and for some reason i've been jealous of him. i tried telling him i'm jealous and he didn't take me seriously, so i'm feeling kinda down about it and i'm not sure what to do. besides that, my jealousy of him, is making me dislike him little by little. I don't want to hate him.

Well, for one thing, that's why the Word tells us not to envy, because it causes hate and God doesn't want that either. From my experience and what God has taught me, be honest with him. Eph. 4:25 tells us to be honest with one another, because we are all part of the same family. Just go to him and be straight up with him. If you want those character traits he has, ask him how or where he gets his determination from. Tell him you want to be more like that, and I'm sure he'll be glad to give you pointers. I'll be sure and keep you in my prayers.
