You might have to fill us in a little more if you want specific advice. Did your mother say that she wished she had had an abortion, thought about having an abortion when she found out she was pregnant but decided not to, or something else? I think her exact words would be important here because there are a few possibilities. If she said or meant that she thought about abortion but decided against it, then I don't think that's a big deal at all. If she said she wishes you had never been born and that she had aborted you, that's something different. Although that would raise some questions such as, then why didn't she abort you to begin with or put you up for adoption? So that kind of wouldn't make sense. Perhaps she said it out of anger and did not mean it? There are many ways to take this.

Parents say thing slike that all of the time. My mom says that she wishes she had waited a few years before having kids, I know she doesn't mean that she wishes it wasnt me that was born or anything. She probably wishes that she had waited a while for a kid, not that she hates u. Have you talked to her about this? Sometimes, or a lot of times, adults say things that they don't think will be offensive to kids but in the end are very much so.
