 Her soft purple eyes looked intently at the grass below her as she flew over the lush trees. Oh how she loved to fly, to run, to do anything that required her to fully exert herself in some kind of physical activity, that most Nequus woulden't regularly do.. Infact, she still had yet to run into another that liked the same things she did. She flapped her grey winds in the soft breese which carried her, as she hoverd around the small clearing she saw under her.
She suddenly turned sharply to dive down twards the ground, black mane nd tail flying in the breeze, ears perked forward. The silverish blue Jala took in all her suroundings before she dived down behind the tall trees, and soon landing on the ground with a ' thump, thumpthumpthump' of her hooves. Her ears swivled in difrent directions, checking her suroundings once more before she lowered her head to take in a mouthfull of the rich emerald green grass. Mmmm.. She had been so hungry! Traviling and all that...

 As the wind whipped through her curly mane, the Ichsa mare laughed gleefully. Galloping at full-speed was one of her favorite things to do, and this particular run was no exception. Her emerald eyes gleamed as she continued, ears perked up and her wings tucked to her sides to present minimal wind resistance. Every dozen strides or so she'd buck and continue; if one hadn't been assured that she was an adult due to her size, they'd think her a young foal from her actions and personality.
She chanced to avert her gaze to the heavens for a split second -- long enough to catch a fleeting glimpse of a feather-winged horse; a Jala! She hadn't seen one for a while. She gazed up at the nequus in the skies as she ran, then nearly squealed in ecstasy when she saw her make a beeline for some trees. It was landing! She swiftly changed her course, only by a few degrees, towards the Jala as she saw her land. She quickly slowed to a stop near the trees, and trotted around them, poking her head out from behind them as she craned her neck to find the Jala she'd seen in the sky. When she finally settled her bright green eyes upon her, she grinned widely, ears perked as much as possible. "Hello there! I'm Nizhoni, what's your name?"

The mare quickly raised her head, her ears turned twards the other mare, eyes watching her, studying her for a few seconds before a more friendly expression came about on her face. " Hi!" She said in the same happy tone. The mare didn't aproach the other, she had learned that it wasen't usually smart to do that when you first meet another.. And.. She had never seen one that looked like this mare.. She then rememberd that the Ichsa had inrtoduced herself. " Oh! Eheh, sorry, my name is Yassah" She said with happy voice.
"Nice to meet you?" The jala added a second later, her head tilting to the side, her forlock covering one eye. One wing lazly stretched out, and a second later, the other did the same as she waited for the other nequus to say something. Yassah was quite interested in this new nequus.. Those wings looked spiff.. Could probably get some good gliding action from them...

The intrigued mare took a few eager steps toward the silver Jala. She had seemed nice enough so far, but she remembered the conversations she'd had with her friends. She'd learned, not the hard way, that she should be more careful when meeting new horses. They might not be as nice as they first appear. But, this Jala looked amiable enough. What was there to worry about? "Nice to meet you too, Yassah!" She exclaimed, a happy smile plastered upon her face. As if it ever left. Her ear twitched a bit as she watched the mare, her eyes roaming over Yassah's coat. She'd never met a silver nequus before, and the coloring was quite impressive, she decided. "What brings you to this part of the valley?"

" What brings me here?.. oh.. Well.. A little necesity called food!" She said with a happy squeek. " I was flying over head when I saw this scrumptious looking grass." She snickerd. " Its quite good. Although I have taste sweeter." SHe added, looking down at the grass.. Which made her look funny cause she looked like she was going cross eyed when she did so. "How did you stumble upon this area?" She asked, head tilting once more. Her tail flicked lazly, waiting patiently for the other mares reply.

Niz giggled at the other mare's reply. "Yes, I suppose that would bring just about anyone here. I like the grass here, but I have had some better grass before. Even so, this is some of the best grass around, in my opinion," she said with an affirmative nod of her head.
"How did I come here?" She asked, caught off-guard by the question. "Oh! Well, I wandered down from the mountain region, I don't know why I was there in the first place, and the valley was the first place I came to! I suppose that's why. And, I'm still here because I met an aeri mare named Nyx who allows me to live with her herd! She's really nice," she said with a bright smile.

" Oh? Thats neat. Did you find anything interesting up in the mountains?" She asked. " I've never been up there.. Should go check them out some time." She added quietly, more to herself, but still loud enough for Nizhoni to hear. " Your part of a herd? Whats that like?" She asked. " Well.. Its probably none of my buisness.." She continued. She wanted to know what it was like to be in a herd. She had never seen one around eather.

"I don't think there was anything too terribly interesting up there... Lots of snow, scraggly trees, and not too much grass. I hardly even remember it, I don't know why I was there," she explained thoughtfully. Why had she been in the mountains in the first place? I've no idea... I don't remember.
"The herd? Yes, I am. It's really neat. You're never alone, really. I have to say I don't know many others in the herd yet, but I hope to soon. I only know two or three, I think," she said, gazing up at the sky as she thought about it. "But it is very nice, you don't have to worry about where you're going to stay because you're in a herd."

" Hmm.. I guess thats a nice thought.. Not to mention that you probably don't have to worry about watching your back much, since others are watching around too." She noded, " I've never seen any heards around here though.. They must all stay hidden quite well." She said with a small giggle. " Eather that or thier invisible!" she added in a silly tone. " Hehe. I only have my 'brothers' to stay with.. They have butterfly wings. Hehe. I think they call thierselfs 'Baes'.." She nodded her head to the side, as if shrugging. " Hmm.. Do you have any 'siblings'? " She asked.

She laughed at the other mare's response. She didn't quite know what "watching your back" meant, but it didn't really matter. "They stay in the other end of the valley, I think, and don't normally come to this corner of it. Maybe that's why?" She explained, an ear flicking in an equine shrug. "Oh, siblings? I don't think I have any.. I don't even remember my parents!" She said with a giggle. She had never known them, and why would she miss them? That thought wasn't in any way negative, more just asking herself a question. How could she miss something she never had?

" Oh.. I'm sorry." She said with a nervouse laugh. " My siblings aren't really related to me.. We just stick together kind of.." She shrugged. " Ah.. Thats probably why.. Hmm.." She said quietly, her eyes gazing off twards the side randomly before they looked back down at the ground. " Hmm.. Wan't to graze with me? I mean, your already here anyways, so why not?"

"Oh no, it's fine," she said with a laugh. "It doesn't bother me at all, really. I figure, I must've had parents, otherwise I wouldn't be here. But, I don't know who they are, nor where they are, and I don't miss them. Really, how could I miss something that I never really had?" She asked, ears perked. "Graze? Oh, sure. Maybe we could go gallop into the heart of the valley afterwards? Or maybe fly?" She asked excitedly, spinning in a circle as she did so.

" Yes! Thats a good plan! Eat, and run." She said with a small giggle. " And fly. Which is really fun." She snickerd. " Do you like to gallop and fly? I do! Its great! I love it! The wind blowing my mane and tail, the sound of my wings when they beat agenst the air when I fly." She tossed her head, her mane flying up for a split second before resting back.

"Ohh, yay!" She exclaimed, spinning in yet another circle. "I haven't had a chance to fly with someone else in a long time! And yes, I love to! It's so much fun! But, we'd better have something to eat before we start off," she said with a nod before dipping her muzzle to the rich green grass below her hooves. After carefully plucking a few blades with her lips, she chewed them thoughtfully. She perked her ears, peering over at Yassah. "What's your favorite time of day?"

Yassah looked up from her grazing over at Niz. " My favoret? I'de have to say dawn. Its a new begining. Everything seems new, pure even.. I find it quite beautiful.." She said with a small sigh. "What about you?" She soon asked before she lowerd her head to get some grass again.
