Drowning
I stumble along the beach.
The soft sand below,
the diamond stars above.
Where I am,
I know not.
I can’t breath.
The deep,
infinite blue
surrounds me.
The cool water
burns my spirit.
Washed away
by the sea.
The ocean at my feet
stretched into space
and beyond.
Collapsed on the sand
is where I shall remain
for eternity.
