It was getting dark..already? Her father would not be happy. Frowning a bit, she bolted towards the woods from the riverside. She didn't like the dark...so many things lurked there, it startled her...her father had practically made her paranoid about it. The grassy clearing seemed to go on forever, till the shadows of the large trees took her in. Finally, cover. Pushing herself into the underbrush, her rather small frame fit nicely between logs and trees, bushes and saplings. Curling herself within the hollow of a log, she kept herself set...glancing behind her once to make sure that nothing was there...though her eyesight wasn't the best in the world.

Taking a deep breath, she released it in a content sigh, fidgeting slightly. She didn't like to stay still, and she certainly didn't like to stay still ALONE. In the darkness. She shuddered. Why did she leave the packlands again? Oh right! Boredom. More sitting still.

This sucked.

Another day gone.

Sora flickered his ears as he padded through the shadows of the night, seraching, wandering back in attempt to find his way back home to Mable and as well as to familiarize himself with his new Alpha, Phib. A hesitant smile seemed to slip across his maw as he shook his head along with his strange, silver necklace that jostled upon his neck.

"I hope he's as friendly as everyone says," he muttered, his brows furrowing slightly as he wandered through the trees and past the small saplings and thickets that dotted the ground in a disorienting array. "If anything he'll be willing to take me into his pack or he'll have to warm up to me or I'll leave Riku to persuade him," he chuckled softly, soft, cerulean orbs glancing upon the path set before him. Yet before he could take another step, a unfamiliar scent seemed to waft heavily within the air.

His ears perked forwards as he tilted his head slightly. Another wolf? And so close? Where?

Quirking a brow upwards as a warm, charming smile crossed his maw, Sora padded to where the underbrush seemed to hide the hollows of a decayed log. Padding slowly towards it with a curious manner, Sora poked his head at the opening.

"Anyone here? Hello?" He called out, unable to see clearly due to the lack of light. "You can come out if you want."

Uh oh. Another wolf.

She blinked, and blinked her own oceanic irises...though much duller than the newcomers, they still shone in the shadows, the rising darkness. Listening, listening...she tensed when they came closer...then...stopped? Perking her ears up, she shifted her shoulders uncomfortably...then nearly leaped out of her skin when the other, male, wolf poked his head down to attempt to see her.

Ah! ENEMY. That's what ran through her mind. She didn't kick into defensive mode, no, she kicked into getthehelloutofthelog mode. She stood up--which was dumb, because no matter how small she was, she was still nearly an adult. With a thunk to the top of the log...she fell onto her belly with a groan..which probably sounded quite funny from outside the log, seeing as the cream of her coat would be easily seen through the shadows...not so much the mix of brown and gray. She brought a paw up to set over her maw...then blinked.

Come out..? "Whose there?" She called, tone strong--but somehow gentle and unknowing...Shifting slowly, she began to force her way out of the log, coming nose to nose with the male. She backed up a bit so she wasn't so close, though she could be seen easier, now.

It took his eyes to adjust for a few moments but, as they did, Sora could pick out the ocean blue orbs that were submersed within the darkness. Hearing the stirring and thumping within the log, the lone male grinned. His tail wagged happily behind him as a warm smile curled upon his maw.

"I'm Sora," he chipperly announced as he settled upon his haunches. "I was just passing through and-" suddenly as her nose collided with his, the young male laughed softly, "and I caught your scent. Are you okay- er, wait, you need to tell me your name."

Watching with interest as the young wolfess came moreinto the light, Sora's cerulean orbs gazed upon her. Her coat of deep hues of charcoal, brown and even some beige were pretty. But what was she doing out here?

"Are you lost?"

This male seemed very social. As was she, but she had been told to do otherwise, and be wary of those she didn't know. AKA: Dont talk to strangers. But did she listen?

No.

Blinking, she canted her head. "Sora?" She tested it, running it through her maw. Hm, pretty name. She smiled weakly... hunching down a bit so she wouldn't bap herself on the head again with the log. "I--ah," she paused, and listened to him intently, "I'm..fine, I'm Chivosi," she murmured, tail thudding to the ground, happy to find someone that her father had never brought up before; someone nice. Her father was beyond paranoid, she confirmed.

"Erk--kind of. But not really..! I left my father because he was being weird..." She trailed off, sensing that she probably shouldn't get into that too much. After a moment, she willed herself to get out of the log, where she could stretch her neck and back. Plopping down in a very pup-like style, her tail continued to wag curiously. "What about you? Are you lost?" He didn't seem like it, he actually looked like he knew quite well where he was going.

"Chivosi," he softly spoke, letting the sound of it roll off his tounge in a way that was fun and made his smile broaden. "A pleasure to meet you, Chivosi." Behind him, his tail thumped upon the ground with pure merriment and delight. Sora alwas loved to make new friends and the wofless before him seemed sweet and quite kind.

As she spoke, he tilted his head as he listened intently. She ran away from her father? His ears flickered curiously yet, against his curiosity, Sora kept himself from prying too much at her with questions. It wouldn't be an appropriate thing to do. Watching as she came fully out from hiding, Sora smiled and shook his head.

"Well, not really. You see, I'm trying to find my way back to my new pack where my mate is waiting. But I guess I sorta am lost since I'm not too familiar on what direction I'm suppose to be heading." He chuckled softly, not angry or flustered about the issue of not knowing where he was headed but at least he wasn't alone, right?

Pawing at the ground with his right forepaw, Sora knitted his brows.

"What pack are you from?"

Watching him curiously, she smirked a bit, listening to him with perked ears. Ah, so he didn't know what direction, eh? "Mm...well, the winds should carry their scents? Especially if they're near the mountains or foothills.." She glanced around for a moment, perking up. She didn't know any of their scents, so she wouldn't be that much of a help. But that's how she always found her way back to her 'home'.

After a moment, though, she blinked, and glanced back towards Sora. Snickering, she shrugged. "I'm not really part of the pack. My father...Gaara's pack...with my mother Lexi. The Lysander pack...we recently lost a good amount of members, so we're all kind of wandering." She laughed, "I'm not interesting in staying with them, though. So I came here!" Which was...so much better than a safe pack. But she had the stubborn-ness of her mother and father combined, so she figured she'd be okay.

He pursed his lips as his forehead wrinkle slightly. The pack was a bit farther or maybe he was completely in the wrong direction. Sora lifted his muzzle into the air and took a deep breath, searching the scents which the wind carried for the familiar scent of his mate or for Riku. To his dismay, the scents were not there.

"Hmmm," he mused as he shook his head, causing the silver pendant to jostle and clink softly. "Well, I may be totally lost but I'm sure I'll find them." Sora wasn't too worried. Once daylight hit he'd be able to figure out if he really was turned around.

He perked his ears forwards, listening close. "So the pack is splitting up?" That didn't sound good. Thinking for a few moments, a warm smile curled upon his maw. "Hey, I got an idea! If you're looking for a pack why don't you come back with me to the Outriders? From what they say, Phib lets anyone join. It's better than being packless, right?"

Watching curiously, she blinked, and sat there silently, tail flicking here and there with her thoughts. Frowning a bit when it seemed he failed at finding their scent, she laughed gently, "I'm sure you will," she mused gently, comfortingly, as best as she possibly could muster.

Though, when the other spoke of her pack, she shrugged, "We just...well, we have a human-based pack. We have two humans, ones really ill, that live with us. My father was raised by them when he was a pup, so he has an attachment. It's not really breaking up, just going through bumpy times," she nodded to enthuse her words. "Come...with you?" She questioned, though, slightly shocked that a wolf that had no idea who the hell she was, and what she might be doing would invite her straight into the heart of the pack. "Phib...? That's your alpha, right?" She murmured, and glanced around, as if afraid of her father hearing her.

Frowning a bit, she thought silently...then gave a nervous smile, "Sure...I'll come with you, if it's not a burden." Chivosi said gently, and nodded once more.

A rather puzzled expression adressed the males face, his maw gaping open slightly. "A human-based pack?" Sora repeated, rather confused. The lone wolf had never heard of such a thing; sure he had heard of humans and had caught a glimpse of one before but humans living with wolves? The idea seemed so strange to him. But if humans were kind enough to raise wolves as if they were part of their own pack then what would be the harm in it?

A widespread grin crossed his lips as he nodded his head. "Come with me! If you don't wanna be stuck around here then at least come to a place where you can relax for a while." To him, it seemed like an offer that was too good to pass up. And since the wolfess wasn't planning on staying with her pack, why not come with Sora?

He practically jumped onto his paws, tail wagging a mile a minute as he shook his head. "You wouldn't be a burden! I'd love to have some company along the way." Padding a few steps, Sora smiled with an anxious anticipation.

"Ready?"

Enthusiastic male, that was for sure. She grinned wolfishly, no pun intended, and nodded. Moving to her feet, she was quite...large for a female. But she was still a teenager, so lord knew how large she was going to get. She smirked at him, finally, and laughed aloud. "Okay, as long as I'm not a burden~" She murred, and flicked her tail. She liked the company, as well, but she had a nagging feeling that her father wouldn't be too happy about this.

Oh well. he had always told her to make something of her life, so she wanted to be part of a pack--that wouldn't babysit her for having a parent as an alpha. "Ready!" She chimed, and stood beside him, smirking in his direction. Hopefully she'd be accepted...

The lone wolf shook his head as the same, warm smile had plastered into a wide grin. "Never! And besides, it beats having to navigate around here alone," Sora chuckled, his tail anxiously swaying behind him. With confirmation that Chivosi was indeed ready to leave the area and tag along with him, Sora grinned.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Leaping into a lively trot as his head and his silver pendant around his neck bounced along, the male glanced over towards the female.

"So, you're father's an Alpha? You don't think he'll come hunt me down for taking you to Phib's packlands do you?" Laughing softly, Sora flicked his ears curiously. He could only hope that no trouble would arise from bringing the daughter of an Alpha to another packland as the last thing Sora needed was to cause a feud between two packs. Oh, wouldn't that be a great way to make an acquaintance with Phib!

Smirking, she followed along with him. Luckily, despite her size, her strides were long and quick, so she was easily able to keep up with the older male. She hummed to herself for a minute, going over a few things, before he spoke once more.

"Nah. Father wouldn't come hunting me down--it's my mother you need to worry about, but I'm sure if I come back at some point to tell them what happened, they'll understand. After disappearances and such in our pack, they dont want to wander far...My brother is becoming the next alpha anyway, so they dont need me there." Chuckling, she shook her head, "If our Seer hadn't passed away, I would have contacted him. But I'm thinking my mother knows what's going on," she mused, and glanced to the necklace around Sora's neck.

Perking her ears up, she snickered, "Shiny thing there. Doesn't attract any unwanted attention?" She teased gently, then focused forward once more.

Sora pursed his lips, brows furrowing slightly in thought as his tail swayed behind him. Her mother? Oh, the lone wolf could only pray that Chivosi wouldn't keep her mother in the dark about this as, it seemed, that it would be his fur on the line and at stake.

"Ah, I see," the male noted, his cerulean orbs drifting towards her as a smile curled upon his maw. "So you're family must have quite the bloodline of Alpha's within the pack, huh?"

The strange, silver necklance around his neck really hadn't caused himself to stop and think about it. Where he had gotten it was all a blur but all that he could ever remember was that he had worn it since he was a small pup. Perhaps Riku knew since, after all, they had been best friends ever since they were just pups. "Well, you see, I guess alot of people don't really notice it or say anything about it," he commented, a musing hint ringing within his voice. "Alot of wolves around here have strange things in their ears and aroud their necks and on their paws so I guess it's just a common thing to see around here."

Well, she wasn't too worried about Lexi coming after them for a while. She often wandered away, and half the time her family didn't know where her brother was. So it wasn't anything too new, of course.

Canting her head in his direction, she blinked, "I guess so. My Father, Gaara, was dropped in a village of humans by his father, after his father killed his Mother--then went off to another pack. My father has a half Sister who wanders around these lands--she's an Alpha, as well...so I guess, yes, you can say he comes from..a line of alphas," she had, obviously, gone into a rant. She chuckled, "Sorry. Must be strange for some random wolf to be spilling her guts to you. Guess I haven't had company in a long while," Chivosi mumbled, and kept her eyes forward, ears perking forward.

"Ah..well, it's pretty," she chuckled gently, and sighed, flicking her tail behind her here and there. "I guess you're right, though. A lot of wolves do have some strange items."
